Aya Hirano – Set Me Free/Sing A Song!
Honestly, I didn’t love it unlike NAMIDA NAMIDA NAMIDA and WIN (which I think her only nice songs), because her new single is just like any other typical Aya Hirano song: upbeat, generic and cutesy pop-rock. Though I must say that Set Me Free is quite better than Sing A Song! (and it hurts less on my ears), both are still not good enough. The PV is also better so check it out below, as well as the download link~
Pandora Hearts OP Single – Parallel Hearts
I thought that Pandora Hearts has one of the better OP’s this season song-wise. FictionJunction’s Parallel Hearts was really good and nice to listen to. The full single turns out to be better. I loved the violin parts and it’s just really cool. The second single, Hitomi no Chikara, is more sentimental and it’s another beautiful song as well, plus Yuuka’s voice is love~. Base Ball Bear – Kamigami LOOKS YOU
Kamigami LOOKS YOU is Base Ball Bear’s 13th major release and 10th single. All songs are really stuck in my head recently, being a major BBB fanatic. I loved them since they sang the OP theme of Oofuri, and then I continued following their music. DL link and PV below the cut.
Phantom Requiem: OP Single – KARMA by KOKIA
Phantom ~Requiem for the Phantom~ in my opinion, definitely has one of the best OP for this season, thanks to KARMA by KOKIA. This dark, gothic track will definitely send chills down to your spine. Everything works out so perfectly from the vocal layering to its dramatic melody. It may not be the type that you’ll regularly listen to for others, but it’s still amazing on how it’s well-put together. I guess that BeeTrain had also combined a creative style in amination that fits it so much with the song too, which really made the OP of it stands out among others.
The other track, Insonnia, is less intense though, but it was really likable and that means it’s good. One thing to describe this one probably is that it is ethereal. It feels so peaceful and like a lullaby being sung to you. Another great track. Overall, this single is awesome. I’ll give it an ‘A’

K-On!: OP Single – CAGAYAKE! Girls
K-On!’s OP Single, “CAGAYAKE! Girls” is more of your love it or hate it seiyuu J-Pop song. It’s tweeny, upbeat, fun and just like any other seiyuu song, it fits the “moe” vibe of the series. I don’t listen to these kind of genre in a regular basis though, so I’ll pass on putting this up on any of my playlists. The song tackles about slice-of-life about girls. The lyrics are fun. Yui’s seiyuu was the one leading the song, and I guess she did a good job of making it sound silly and bright: just like Yui.
The second song “Happy!? Sorry!!” was yet another typical, generic J-Pop song, so it’s a pass for me on this one as well. I just don’t like these type of genre, just like what I’ve mentioned before.

K-On!: ED Single – Don’t Say ‘Lazy’
Well, this is all we’ve been waiting for… The ED Single of K-On! I must say that the ED Single was the most awesome thing this show ever had so far (besides from the regular moe fix for fans) because of its contemporary rock music, catchy tune and a genius music video concept. The ED Single “Don’t Say ‘Lazy”” was overall nothing astounding, but it’s absolutely enjoyable to listen to. And I love Mio’s seiyuu’s voice!!!
The other single “Sweet Bitter Beauty Song” features stronger vocals, and it gave me a more “rock” vibe to it. Btw, I find the title cute~ Anyway, if there would be characters songs for K-On!, I will definitely look forward to them.

NEXT LEVEL – Ayumi Hamasaki
Here’s the newest album of Ayumi Hamasaki: NEXT LEVEL. And just like what the title says, she is stepping it up to the next level. I am loving her music more and more. From the electronic dance hitter Sparkle, to the sentimental (and my personal favorite) days. Download PLUS Ayu’s PV for Sparkle, Curtain Call and NEXT LEVEL (hell yes, three new PVs) all below the jump!
