Re:Creators mid season review
Marine is a fan of Yuuya and Shou’s special bonding!
Oh boy things have gotten interesting ever since the tragic death of Mamika, but seriously did she think she would be able to take out Hime by herself? Either way I was extremely sad to see her leave the series. Then again her death has sorta motivated Alicetaria to possibly switch sides and the same can be said of Blitz who is reunited with his daughter! So yeah enjoy the mini talk on RE:Creators.
Extra Creations
Gotta love Meteora’s GRRRRR face! Its the best <3
Hime learned “You mad bro” face from the internet.
Yuuya is still great even without his crazy JOJO stand.
Shou’s stand is AWESOME!
Not the face you want to see sneak up behind you.
Why does Blitz’s daughter look like Nunnally from Code Geass?!

Hiroe Rei and Aoki Ei have confirmed the plot serves as a meta-commentary on otakudom and animedia creativity (“the joys and sorrows of being a creative soul in the field”) and parodies of the industry (Creators based on elements of aniindustry peoples/the Meteora recap ep).
But, viewers have also criticised its plot structure’s strong focus on talky/meta setup, that it squandered potential for more action, character development and fish out of water interactions to wallow in its own metaanalysis.
Do you think this is true?

Personally, Re:Creators has done good with its path so far. I’m one who prefers an equal balance of action and story development. If the former happens to have the majority of the series’ stock, it doesn’t even need forgiveness because that’s more of a boon. Talking gets a pass provided it’s a subject worth giving attention to and setup is an absolute necessity.
Action is all well and fine but it has to be born from built-up story developments, it has to made significant in accordance to that, a means to an end, a reason beneath, otherwise it’s just pointless and mindless violence. Action for action’s sake has a temporary appeal, quickly gets dull and this talk of squandered potential for more action sounds like an excuse action junkies devoid of other interests in a series would use.
As for character development, I feel that department’s been handled adequately. The parts of show that didn’t focus on action were used for viewers to better understand the characters (There are a lot of them) and to show that the characters understood the gravity of the situation. So, I fail to see the concern for that.

Tsk! I meant if the latter happens to have the majority of the series’ stock.

Re:Creators is definitely one of my kind of shows as it prioritizes story development over flashy action sequences.
Things certainly have gotten interesting with that very ambitious plan Meteora and the government put together to corner Altair. Lucky for them, Altair’s arrogance allowed them the time to get things together. Though that same arrogance is what contribute to an antagonist’s undoing. But taking her out won’t be a cakewalk since she’s gaining new powers every waking moment.
Equally pressing is what should be done with a wild card like Magane. Aliceteria giving her the go-ahead to cause more chaos will not bode well for anyone caught in the crosshairs.
Blitz’s talk with his Creator had me thinking he was better off not knowing certain things. Had I been in his place with the knowledge everything I’ve endured was planned out for entertainment, it would go without saying that it wouldn’t sit well with me.
