for those who have gf’s or bf’s or are in any type of relationship:

what do your partners think of your dedication to anime and do you sometimes prioritise anime over them?

and if u dont have a partner how do you think they would react to your dedication to anime and would you prioritise ANYTHING anime-related (conventions, E3…etc ANYTHING) over them?

  19. Azure says:

They say that the secret to great cooking is to keep the one eating it in mind, so with that philosophy in hand is it wrong to imply that the audience for anime creates its own art and that the directors only filter those ideas. I find the need to ask this question with the over-saturation of anime today with moe and other blatantly obvious hooks in tandem with the unfortunate stereotype of anime culture and its participants. Even on a greater analysis of the ‘culture’, over the last two decades aside from better available technology, can we say that Anime as an art form has evolved, or does it continue to pander to the audience similar to the nature of the American action movie industry?

(Sorry for the large block of text)
