This. This sounds hilariously HYSTERICAL. First off, food is pretty much my life. Well, not really, but it’s QUITE up there! Not only so, but also cheap things always make me happy. As I like to say, the only word I like better than “cheap” is “free.” Put the two together and you’ve got the happiest Zabo in the universe. Thus, it only makes sense that I would watch this! Ben-to is the story of the unfortunate and unassuming Yō Satō. One day, at the supermarket, he discovers a bentō (boxed meal) on sale at half price, a delightful find for such a poor high school student. Unfortunately, just as he reaches for his precious find, he is knocked unconscious. He wakes up on the floor only to find that all the bentō is sold out. When Yarizui Sen,the leader of the Half-Pricer Club, forces Yo to join,  he is shoved headfirst into a war where “Wolves” ruthlessly fight for half-priced bento.

Supermarket survival battle? That is SO my scene! This is the exact type of completely ridiculous and brilliant gag humor that induces laughter of the sort that causes the ass to fall off. Not to mention that this show looks fairly well put together; even the art is to my liking. Finally, may I add that Emiri Katou, who plays Ayama Shaga, voiced Kyubey. Yes, that Kyubey. I haven’t even watched Madoka and I KNOW about Kyubey. HE IS EVERYWHERE. But yah, Ben-to is looking to be the comedy hit of the season in my opinion. I CANNOT WAIT TO WATCH THIS WOOH! It’s going to be my massive and well needed dose of humor for the season.

// COMMENTS
The plot sounds half-assed, but Ben-To might be a hidden gem. Having the main character fighting for for half-priced bento might sounds plain, but the staffs that are working on Ben-to are the kind of people we love. So maybe this anime will be awesome. MAYBE. At least I know some people love Ben-To’s character designer Kazuto Hirata (Angel Beats!, Gundam Seed Destiny, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann: Ragan-hen). Although the director Shin Itagaki directed some titles that are not well-received by some (although I did enjoy them) such as Black Cat and Fullmetal Alchemist, but hey, he played some roles in the creation of Bakemonogatari and Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. Let’s give the dude some chance. If you like the music in Kuroshitsuji, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann (s), and Katanagatari, you should watch Ben-To since the music will be arranged by Taku Iwasaki. And by the time you’re reading this sentence now and you’re not still convinced, then boohoo. At least watch it for the fun, since it sounds so hilarious. That’s the only reason why I’m watching this thing.
Oh yes, lunch is always fraught with danger. Seriously though, this sounds very like Baka Test, which bodes well. Shin Itagaki directed one of my favorite animes: Black Cat. And why it’s one of my favorites is largely due to it’s amazing use of angles and colour. Not expecting Ben-To to be quite as artistic but I know that the director is very capable which fills me with confidence. Hiro Simono is fast becoming one of my favorite seiyuus with just how adorable he makes the characters he plays, like Akihisa from Baka Test or Keima from TWGOK, he has just got a great voice for comedy.

So apparently this is based off a light novel, but I’m avoiding reading it because I don’t want to spoil the anime for myself just yet. However, from my understanding, this anime is about a high school student named Yachi Haruaki who gets sent a cursed box from his father that turns into a girl (lol what a great gift). So the box, aka a girl named Fear (which is a totally badass name by the way), doesn’t want to be cursed anymore so in order to lift it, she goes around helping people. However, from the trailer, Fear looks like a yandere fighting some psychotic blonde woman, so there’s probably more to it than some box-girl running around doing good deeds. Fine by me.

As for casting, we have Yuuki Kaji (No. 6, Yozakura Quartet) as Yachi and Yukari Tamura (Higurashi, Nanoha) as Fear. HELL. YES. There’s also Eri Kitamura (Mayo Chiki!, Blood+), Chiwa Saito (Bakemonogatari, Arakawa Under the Bridge) and Minori Chihara (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Minami-ke) so it’s just a great cast of seiyuu all around. As for production and animation, we have Starchild Records (helped produce Uta no Prince-sama and FLCL) and SILVERLINK (helped with key framing in Drrr! and Panty & Stocking), who have helped out a LOT of other series, so at least they know what they’re doing. I’m excited for this.

A black box named Fear… Hmmm, now that is something. I found out the other day that fear stands for False Evidence Appearing Real. Now I know this has nothing to do with this anime, but I just thought that I’d put that out. Anyways! Yeaaaahh working to help the Girl named Fear cleanse herself of it’s curse but wait, this is a cube we’re talking about. Is that cube possessed with the girl’s spirit or something? This is so strange.
So at first thought I was thinking this was about a girl that solves Rubik cubes all day, but its not! Well this mysterious black box sounds like fun to me. Girl named Fear? That name alone is all kinds of awesome, it does look like the plot of a video game doesn’t it? Can’t forget the curse… Fear sounds like a yandere character…

Competitive or tournament themed animes are mostly enjoyable for me. Animes like Saki, which is about girls playing Mahjong is just so interesting despite the fact that I don’t know how the game works. Just seeing the main character who seems weak at the game but is actually awesome, kick some butt is fun enough. Or an anime like Shion no Ou where the main character lost her voice due to seeing her parents murder and plays shogi. This anime isn’t just about the game but has psychological elements, mystery and suspense. So when you think of a sports genre anime, there’s actually a story to it and Chihayafuru is one of those. This anime is basically about a girl who’s dream is to see her sister become Japan’s best but ends up having that dream changed into her own with the help of a transfer student named Arata. Chihaya is introduced to the world of Hyakunin Isshu which Arata plays competitively. Through an accident resulting in Chihaya to play the game for Arata, Chihaya finds passion for the game and thus her dream is changed to becoming number one in the world.

Now, you might be thinking that this sounds boring. But I don’t think it’s too bad. If I get to see Chihaya kick some butt at this game, I’ll be all in for watching this anime. But if I have to deal with a uncertain type of character who is unconfident, I might just cry. But despite that, seeing the seiyuu, Chihaya is voiced by Seto Asami (Hourou Musuko, Dog Days, Ano Hana) who hasn’t done too many rolls but is adding to her list. We also have Hosoya Yoshimasa (Kaicho wa Maid-sama!, No.6, Katanagatari) who voices Arata. The only thing that worries me from the seiyuu cast is Yonaga Tsubasa who is known for his role of Mihashi from Oofuri. I just hope that I don’t really feel that I’m hearing Mihashi when watching the anime like in Cardfight!! Vanguard. It just annoyed me to watch another anime and think of a different character when doing so. But anyways, expect a good amount of dialogue, game explanations, and unassuming main character.

// COMMENTS
I’m not really into sports anime except when it’s hella exciting and keeps me on my toes. Something like Giant Killing, which made me scream hoarse at the cliffhangers and the story progression. So, when I hear something about ‘Kurata’ and Madhouse animating it in two-cour I have to check it out, being one of my favourite studios minus the Marvel crap (Yes, I will repeat this over and over again because I can’t seem to get over it =P). Now Morio Asaka’s profile is impeccable, I mean Card Captor Sakura, Chobits (yeah, I know about the love and hate), NANA, Gunslinger Girl and my favourite arc of Aoi Bungaku (No Longer Human); this dude is an ace so my ears and eyes have both perked up for this still looked down upon title of this season. Don’t even get me started on the seiyuu cast because my two most favourite seiyuu hawties Mamoru (Light, Kida, Tamaki, Takuto) and Hosoya (Nezumi, Shichika, Juu) are in it! Asami Seto seems like a newly born chick in front of these two kids of the block but we’ll have to see how she fairs. So, in my case, I’m giving this a benefit of the doubt and definitely more than worth checking out.
It’s very hard to make card games and board games sound good. Hikaru no Go manages to make Go interesting, but it can only really be achieved at the hands of a masterful director. Making a subject that most people find boring into something interesting takes talent. Otherwise, half of the episodes are spent explaining the rules and WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED. I’m very wary of this one, so I’ll wait and see what the other watchers say about this one. At the very least, it’s animated by the powerhouse MADHOUSE STUDIOS, so the animation will not have a shred of derp to speak of.

I believe I mentioned that I am under a curse where the animes that I sign up for eventually gets pushed back and yes, this is one of those. But indeed, it’s finally coming this season and if you can’t tell, I’m actually excited for it. Last Exile: Ginyoku no Fam (the Silver Wing) is not a continuation from 2003 anime that was about two pilot children being entangled up in a war after rescuing a little girl. In the world of Ginyoku no Fam, there are two countries at war called the Ades Federation and Turan Kingdom. Our heroin is a young ace vanship pilot named Fam who along with her navigator, Giselle, who instead of saving a little girl, saves a princess of Turan. With the Turan Kingdom on the verge of collapsing, it is up to Fam to uncover the Federation’s true goals and the mysterious power of what is known as Exile.

By now, you can probably tell that I’m not able to have a good discussion when it comes to seiyuu but I can definitely express my appreciation for the voices. We have Fam voiced by Toyosaki Aki (Yui from K-ON! Uiharu from To Aru Kagaku no Railgun) and Giselle voiced by Yuuki Aoi (Sunako from Shiki and Madoka from Pella Magi Madoka Magica). Now who wouldn’t think that’s a great combo for our pilot and navigator? Aside from that, you can expect that the animation will beautifully depict a world filled with fantasy and vast skies. As well, you can’t forget Murata Range’s art work and if you don’t know who that is then all I can say is that you are a lost cause.

I loved the first season of this way back! Although I saw it English dubbed so seeing it in sub form will be very different for me. I remember the CGI planes and ships and this is the type of CGI I can actually stand! Either way I will be looking forward to watching this series. Now if I remember with the first season we had a war going on right? So with this second season I wonder if it’s the same time line or a different one with two warring nations? Anyways, we do have brand new characters so I will have to keep my eyes ready to spot any possible cameo appearances from past characters. Now for the Director! Koichi Chikgira, sadly I’m not too familiar with his work, but since he worked on season one, I’m ready to expect something fun and exciting to happen for story. Actors might be a new thing since I saw it in English the first time, but right off I noticed Jun Fukuyama as Dio Eraclea (Ao no Exorcist, Blood-C, Working!!) and Eri Kitamura as Tatiana Wisla (Mayo Chiki, Working!!) and another new yet slowly becoming big Ai Kayano as Milia Il Velch Cutrettola Turan (AnoHana, Kamisama Dolls). So, definitely a few big names flooding this series.
Everything is either being renewed, rehashed or getting a continuation this season but hey, fans are rejoicing and so should we. I still remember Ness fangirling about it when it was announced last season and then postponed. Yay for her because she got free time to work on loads of graphics. LOL. Anyways, the trailer looks gorgeous and I can only imagine this on HD and drool. I like the character design and even how the vanships are made. It’s going to be interesting see this chibi flying off without wings. For my music delight, Maaya Sakamoto (<3) is performing the OP and even school food punishment is listed too on OP. Maybe that will change to ED but if Maaya and sfp come together for a song… I will fangirl squee! I’ve heard a lot of good stuff about the first season so I might just catch up and continue with this.

YYYYYYEEEEEEESSSSSS YYYESSSS YYYYYYESSSS MY BODY IS READY. Ehm, in case you missed the spring season, there was this pretty popular yaoi anime about the new editor in Shoujo section Onodera Ritsu and his relationship with his boss Takano Masamune. Ritsu wanted to be in the literature section, but he ends up in the Shoujo section, and his boss happens to be his first lover and the reason for him to actslike a cranky virgin woman until now. This anime is about their broken ties and how it’s connected again (sounds so cheesy) as Takano and Ritsu get to know more about each other, filling the ten years space they were separated. More like Takano chasing after Ritsu’s butt with him in denial over his feelings for Takano. This also includes the relationship between Kisa Shouta (another editor) and Yukina Ko (a bookstore worker), and Yoshino Chiaki (shoujo manga in disguise as a woman) and Hatori Yoshiyuki (Chikai’s editor and childhood friend). Also, let’s not forget our annoyingly bitchy third wheel Yokozawa Takafumi (who digs Takano) and sexy seiyuu’d Yanase Yuu (he dogs Chiaki).

In case you still don’t get it from those four pictures, I AM SO EXCITED FOR THIS. Seriously, A YAOI ANIME!!!!! TWO YAOI ANIME IN A YEAR!! Of course, I do get bored with Nakamura-sensei’s works because all of them are pretty similar with each other, but I’d prefer this over Junjou Romantica any other day. But of course I prefer other yaoi to be animated such as Seven Days. Although I don’t like the secondary pairings that much, I do like the relationship between Ritsu and Takano. IT’S SO SWEET!!! And not only that, NAMAURA YUICHI NGGHHH HIROSHI KAMIYA NNGGGHHH!!!!! I am ready for SIH 2 already! YAY YAOI ANIME!

Oh Studio DEEN, you just saved yourself from years of death threats by fujoshi by doing EXACTLY what we asked for: bringing out another season of Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi. While the ukes were being so, so, so, SO stupid that I wanted to smack them upside the head with my keyboard, I can’t resist the mushy-gushy love stories (or the sex scenes, even if they’re overly censored). One thing I’m seriously hoping for is my CAR SCENE, DAMNIT. 12 MORE EPISODES; IT BETTER BE THERE.
Alright, so DEEN listened to all that jabber anaaga, Hoshi, Zabo and myself had in the episode 11 post about wanting a season 2. I was initially interested in the series for the shoujo manga element, which was somewhat similar to Bakuman (though not anywhere nearly as intensive in terms of describing the craft of making a manga), but I did end up watching the rest of the season and getting invested in the Ritsuo x Takano relationship. I was somewhat uninterested in the other characters like Chiaki early on, but eventually found interest in their stories by season’s end.

Hellllllz ya DE GESO YOU SONVABITCH I really loved season one! Who couldn’t go for more DE DESO in their lives??? Well some probably would rather see this series die in a fire. If you are currently watching Nichijou and loving that series then Shinryaku! Ika Musume might be perfect for you! Some might find it annoying but I never really found anything about Ika Musume to be terrible, if anything I found this series quite addictive. Just watching Ika discover the world around her always amazes me, something like using an umbrella down to playing video games for the first time always were fun to watch. And sure this is not the most ground breaking anime out there but we all need a few laughs to make life more interesting. So expect Ika to have plenty of new discoveries with the second season! I wonder if she will ever pay off that debt at that restaurant…

Returning to Shinryaku! Ika Musume, Hisako Kamemoto is voicing Ika Musume (Hidan no Aria, SoRa No-WoTo), Rei Tanaka as Chizuru Aizawa (Strike Witches), Kanae Ito’s a personal fan favorite as Sanae Nagatsuki (Toaru Kagaku no Railgun, Sacred Seven), and Ayumi Fujimura as Eiko Aizawa (Toaru Majutsu no Index II, Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt). These four really stand out more than the rest of the cast especially Kanae Ito and Hisako Kamemoto! These two really make things exciting, I wonder if Hisako ever got tired of saying de geso after each line? Anyway we have a really fun cast of actors to listen out for soon.

YES. First season came out of nowhere, it was freakin’ hilarious. I really don’t understand how every season, a show can come out of left field and surprise me. I would say ‘surprise everyone’, but a lot of people hated Ika Musume (I have no idea WHY). Hopefully this one manages to keep things funny, a doesn’t flop. If it’s as good as Mitsudomoe II was compared to the first Mitsudomoe, then I’ll be very happy. Because Mitsudomoe II was hilarious.

    • Foshizzel says:

Hell ya to Mirai Nikki! I can’t wait to see that, but I have a feeling it will be soooo censored like BloodC And Deadman wonderland with so many shadows and great big beams of light….

IKA MUSUME 2! CANT WAIT AHHH!! xDD

    • Jrow says:

We can expect better from DEEN on Hatsukoi, but I’m keeping my expectations slightly above minimum.

    • Foshizzel says:

Hells ya Junko! Guilty Crown for the winnnnnnnn and Fate/Zero,Working!! and Shana three! xD

  5. baka_girl says:

*take a deep breath after reading the suuuuuuuper long review* lol
Just reading it takes almost one hour, can’t imagine how long the team has been working on this. Thank you so much for the hard work! <3

Aww, I'm so happy that there's lots of promising show this season. Currently interested in Guilty Crown, Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon, Gundam AGE, Phi Brain, Un-Go, Persona 4, Mirai Nikki, Fate/Zero, Shakugan no Shana III, Sekaiichi Hatsukoi 2 and Hotarubi no Morie. That's quite a lot coming from me :))
Might cut down this list after watching first episode though :p

    • Kyokai says:

Thank you for the kind words! Everyone really worked hard in making this a reality. We have been preparing since last month. xD

Hahaa, we’ll see how much you end up seeing but definitely, there’s no shortage of good shows this season. ^^

    • Foshizzel says:

-hands you a paper bag- ;D

Thanks! Indeed it was a long process but worth the wait! Good work everyone course we always do our best for the readers.

Yep I am looking forward to Guilty Crown,Gundam Age,Horizon,Mirai Nikki, Fate/Zero and Shana three too! Lots of great anime soon! Fall is going to be a great one.

  6. Joojoobees says:

Hourou Mousuko (special): I finally got around to watching the series last week. I had to wait because my old computer had serious problems with video, and the very pale colors of the art style meant I could barely tell what was going on. The pale watercolor style looks great (now that I have a new computer), and is very appropriate. For a show that seems like it would be intense and angst, it actually isn’t. I mean, yeah the kid gets bullied and stuff, but actually it is much more subdued than one would expect. I think this gave it a sense of realism that I wasn’t expecting. I’ll check out the special, since I’m caught up.

Chihayafuru: Yeah! This is my prediction for best show of the season.

    • Kyokai says:

I agree on the intensity. They talk about some serious stuff quite mildly. No violence except for some bullying and bitching. Seen in a marathon, Hourou Musuko is much better than waiting for it every week.

And three cheers for Chihayafuru. This should be a total win!

  7. Kitty says:

AWESOME SAUCE!!! I’ve been waiting soooo long for this!!! Picking next season’s watches is always a process. But I love all your reviews and the trailers really help. No one does it like Metanron. Here is too another rocking anime season.

    CHEERS!

    Most looking forward too:
Fate/Zero, Gundam Age, Bakuman S2 and Sekai-Ichi Hatsukoi 2. Watching a few others but those are the big kickers.

    • Kyokai says:

Thank you, Kitty-chan! We love doing it for our readers. ^^

Also, a mecha fan? Say HI to Fosh and Jrow as these two fanboy it to the limit. xD

    • Jrow says:

Thanks so much! It’s like how Carly Simon sings it.

I have faith in F/Z being great and Hatsukoi should be more of season 1 goodness, and I’m interested to see what Age brings to the table.

      • Kitty says:

I really just can’t wait to hear Takano go Huh?! again.

I think I might add Last Exile to the list, thou I haven’t see the first one.

Also Hi Fosh and Jrow =^_^= yay for mecha backed fun!

        • Foshizzel says:

Oh yes you should try to watch some Last Exile! Really good stuff xD and -wave- YES! Finally a season of mecha! Wooooooooooo hooooooo!

    • Foshizzel says:

      Ahahah thanks! 😀

Fate/Zero looks great! Can’t wait to see some more of Saber and Rin <3 Gundam Age might take a while to actually get into with those character designs, but I love gundam so I can look past that for now.

  8. Vivi says:

Soooo much info, amazing!! I think I might actually start recognizing VAs with your format XD

And OMG Sayanoara Zetsu Sensei, Hourou Mousuko, Usagi Drop, & Kimi ni Todoke specials! *_*

Anaaga’s reaction to Sekai-something something was cute haha

    • Kyokai says:

I’m a VA fangirl through and through so it’ll be all my pleasure if you start recognizing them due to my reviews. XD

Too many titles to check out, yeah!

    • Foshizzel says:

hahah yep I am with you to Vivi one day I will have the names of all the actors memorized! Somehow….

  9. BlackBriar says:

Whoa, this season is packed. It’s almost like summer again.

I saw the Guilty Crown trailer and even though I haven’t seen much of Code Geass, it reminds me of that with Index/Railgun parts.

I’m also in to check out Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon, Phi Brain: Kami no Puzzle, Fate/Zero, Persona 4: The Animation, Maji de Watashi ni Shinasai, C3: Cube X.

As for Hunter x Hunter, I never saw the original version but it still looks interesting.

A third Shakugan no Shana? Damn!!! I haven’t even seen the first two. Time to catch up.

A Deadman Wonderland OVA. I might give this series a second opinion depending on how it plays out. The madness, blood and gore were on the mark but the main character has yet to prove himself. I mean, Ganta actually looks tougher in this picture and I’m itching to see Shiro and Minatsuki go wild again.

That Infinite Stratos OVA is next on the list along with that Ao no Exorcist special.

This season’s gonna be busy but gonna help us burn a the the way to winter season.

    • Kyokai says:

Oh hell yeah! I want to see everything! Well, almost~

Guilty Crown seems to be the top pick because of the star-studded staff. I mean, would you look at those names. Same goes for Fate/Zero, Un-Go, Persona, Phi Brain and Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon. I say something for everyone but yeah, a warning for Shana, it’s a typical tsundere girl going shut up all the time. Not sure if it has enough ‘plot’.

      • Jrow says:

In regards to Shana, I’ve never seen it, but from what I’ve read from steev and also other places is that Shana is kind of the basis for which most of today’s tsunderes are based off of. He’s actually excited about the series which surprised me a good bit.

      • BlackBriar says:

I don’t really mind tsunderes. I survived Bakemonogatari’s Hitagi and Kore Wa Zombie’s Sera and Haruna. And they are as tsun as they come.

What I really want to see first is Guilty Crown but we gotta wait untill October. I should have known. The Hanazawa virus has even gotten this upcoming series. She’s really branching out. Then there’s Persona 4 and Fate/Zero. They look really wild.

And not to forget Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon with Jun Fukuyama in the cast. Hime and other Fukuyama fangirls are gonna be all over that. They should have another anime with big time VA. Ao no Exorcist was a breeding ground for three kinds of viruses: Jun Fukuyama, Nobuhiko Okamoto and the infectious Hanazawa virus.

    • Foshizzel says:

Yeah lots of great looking shows! So amazing to the line up with mecha for once.

True about guilty crown it does look a bit like a “Railgun/index” type of series which sounds great to me xD

  10. Blackholeheart says:

First off, girls and guys of Metanorn you deserve a standing ovation for this season preview, every other blog should not bother to write one and just provide a link back to this. Seriously outstanding job. I am however worried about Kyokai, with all she’s got on her plate, one of these days her head is going to straight up explode! Of course that won’t stop her and we’re all going to have to chip in and buy her a yellow motorcycle helmet with built in nekomimi and those aren’t cheap you know!

I do have a bone to pick with you all though, before reading this I was fretting over having 12 shows in my want to watch list, now I have 22. And 8 OVA’s. On top of Fringe, Supernatural and Terra Nova in USA tvland! orz >.<

Again thank you for the fantastic work though, I'm so hyped to enjoy this amazing season with all of you!

    • Kyokai says:

Where should I even begin? I laughed like mad after reading this comment and thank you SO MUCH for your kind words and worrying about my head. LOL, Celty fits so well here. xD

Also, rest assured, I’ll be watching Fringe and Supernatural too along with all the above anime. It’s gonna be tough but reviews are there to check out and then sift the crop for better ones.

Let’s have an awesome season, YEAHHHH! xD

    • Jrow says:

I know what ya mean with having so many shiny new shows to watch. I don’t have the US tv shows, but as a sports fan I have to find extra time to wiggle these shows around football games and whatnot.

Thanks so much! The first half of October will be crazy busy for us getting out first impressions and such.

  11. Raph says:

Just to echo the comments above, thank you for such a complete season preview that’s beautiful-looking to boot! The amount of information here is extraordinary and the links to websites, information about people involved, etc. are extremely useful too. Awesome job!

    • Kyokai says:

Thank you, Raph! Much appreciate it.

Also, I see you share the Yamada love, nyaa~ xD

    • Foshizzel says:

Thanks Raph! It was a lot of work and fun to finally get this done and out to everyone to read! Yeah thanks to Ness and Kyokai for working on the shiney graphics.

  12. TSRL says:

    Just real quick.
    @Kyokai
You did a little mistake on page 9:
Sunrise and Production I.G. are not both doing Guilty Crown. Only I.G. and the one missing for Sunrise is Gundam AGE. You though nobody would notice eh?? XDD
You can count on this redly-suspiciously Gundam fanboy to correct you XDDD

  13. Reaper says:

All I have to say is wow, so many things to expect from the coming Fall, though I’m in agreement that Fate/Zero is at the top of the list. Returning cast as well as new members with the darker story in the background compared to the (relatively) lighthearted Fate/Stay-night. P4 though comes second but there are A LOT of new shows I have not heard of that I’m genuinely excited for…now I shall begin bouncing in my chair in glee…:)

    • Kyokai says:

Fate/Zero, HELL YEAH! *Metafist* I have never been this excited about an anime before… Well, Nisemonogatari comes near enough but you catch my drift. xD

Persona 4 is making me crazy with their new PVs as the days go by. Not to mention so many shows to check out. It’s definitely going to be an eventful season, this one.

  14. Miyu says:

!!! Thank you so much for creating such a comprehensive (and pretty) season preview post 😀 I am in awe of (and eternally grateful to) the Metanorn Team (Y)

I am so excited for Fall with approximately 7 series I’m looking forward to catching 8D 8D
…The only thing is that I only can start watching after my End of Year Exams end on 10 October so I. HAVE. TO. RESIST. T T

    • Jrow says:

That’s so awesome to see you write that! So glad you really enjoyed the preview.

Fall’s looking pretty good. I’m not sure what my personal count of shows is, but each season this year I’ve underestimated the number, so it might hover between 5-10.

    • Foshizzel says:

You are welcome! This was really a lot of work but amazing job team xD

Nice!! I have lost count on the series I will end up watching….probably a little of everything for me 😀

  15. umi_no_mizu says:

wooot new season! Looks pretty decent too =D

Looking forward to Phi Brain; Kami no Puzzle, HunterxHunter, and kimi to boku… Also going to continue on with bakuman, working, shinryaku ika mumsume and sekai-ichi hatsukoi =P

once again, very nice work on the review-ness =)

    • Jrow says:

Very appropriate that you say review-“ness” since Ness did an amazing job with the design as is usually the case. 🙂

    • Foshizzel says:

Yes! Lots of exciting things to watch soon!

I am interested in HunterxHunter! And Ika Musume <3 <3 I missed that series I need my comedy fix.

      LOL Yepp so much review-ness!

    • Ness says:

And every time a review comes out, I disappear right after it’s publish for a vacation xD

Thanks! (even though I’m unsure if that review-ness was even meant for me) :3

  16. fathomlessblue says:

I went into this summary thinking the only shows worth my time were Working!!, Persona 4, Guilty Crown and Last Exile, yet now I’m more excited with Tamayura and Coppelion. I hope the later does actually air this season!).

Oh, and more Kimi ni Todoke means more Ayane = Win Win Win!!!

  17. Carla says:

I’ve been Waiting for this post!
THANK YOU for creating a comprehensive season preview post for retarded people like me ♥

  18. anaaga says:

Oh god Kyokai I love Tales of Symphonia how could you say that ;___; But it’s releasing in the winter anime season, so it’s good that you didn’t put it in the list.
By the way, I looooveeee Tales of Symphonia. You know what this means *hint hint*

And that Natsume twins thingy? I thought it would be about bunch of girls, but it’s actually about bunch of guys. Has lots of yaoi pairing potentials. Will watch for the gheyness

    • Kyokai says:

      What did I say?! =P
Tales of Symphonia is getting so many OVAs like every season, we can’t cover it every time. =P but you are always welcome to cover it. 😉

And about Kimi to Boku., I always thought it would be awesome if someone made the guys’ version of K-On! and look at this, our time is made. xD

  19. Alynn says:

    Love the new layout!

    The only think I hate about fall is the lack of time I have for watching anime. D;

    Definitely watching:
    Show ▼

Fall is looking great so far!

    • Foshizzel says:

I love the layout too! Very cool xD

Trueeeeee some can watch anime all day!

Nice list I can’t wait for Guilty Crown, Working!!, and Mirai Nikki those seem like really fun shows to watch this season. Fingers crossed for Mirai Nikki not to be censored to much due to all the BLOOD…

  20. Moni Chan says:

OMG YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thank you so much. Fall is the season for awesome anime. There’s like 6 animes airing on my birthday. CRAZYNESS I TELL YOU CRAZYNESS!

Im so happy that Bakuman is getting a 2nd season. The manga is so interesting. As well as all the other animes getting another season.

Detective Conan i love that show. All I need to do to catch up is watch more then 500 episode before october. Maybe I should just start watching the movies.

the animes are just so amazing I sooooo cant wait.

    • Foshizzel says:

You are welcome!!! Fall is looking amazing so many great looking shows, ooooh Happy early birthday! I know last year Kore wa Zombie desu ka? Came out on my bday too well a day before ahaha

WOW And I thought a series like One piece was huge xD

      • Moni Chan says:

        ahhh thank you
lol actually the ones that are airing on my birthday are a day early 2. I still say it’s my birthday kuz the subs come out a day later, hopfully. >_<

    • Karakuri says:

      Happy early birthday!

I want to get into Conan. I really do, but 600 episodes seems like a hell of a lot XD. Good luck with that!

    • anaaga says:

      DROP DROP DROP CONAN
Not that I hate it, and I HAD the manga. But since it’s not even done until NOW, I decided to stop. It’s making me broke

      • Moni Chan says:

lmao I always wonder when it will end. it’s been on since around the time I was born. I haven’t hit 100 episodes and I’m on the 13th volume (and counting), but im not going to give up. i might just stick to the manga it’s faster.
