I’m going to crawl under the bed and start sobbing like mad. So this is about overpopulated males on earth with barely any female left to create babies. So of course they’re all gay. This ghey world also has a ridiculous caste system, where the blondies/silvers are the elitists, while the black hair peeps are basically the slaves tor the elitists. This blondie named Iason has a black haired pet named Riki and refuses to let him go; thus, creating enmity between Iason and Riki’s guy named Guy (Gai. Get it? Haha…ha…). Did I mention Iason’s friend name is Jupiter? So, basically these men start to bicker with each other just for one black haired dude, and tragedy ensues because of that. Obviously there’s no such thing as threesome in this world.
Ai no Kusabi is a classic, so if the AIC/Media screwed it up, I swear I won’t let them off the hook. New or old, they BETTER make this thing great. I see that the cast is changed, such a pity- HOLY SMOKE ITOU KENTARO (Hiroki Kamijou from Junjou Romantica) AS RIKI… BRING IT ON. Toriumi Kousuke (Girge from Break Blade, Morinaga from Koisuru Boukun, & Kiba from Naruto) as Gai? Sweet. Miki Shinichiro (Sakamoto from Gintama, Roy Mustag from FMA:B) as Kacche, and Ohkawa Tohru (Roy Mustang from FMA) as Iason? Not bad. The VA cast is definitely not some top list whatsoever, but at least these guys have some experience. Oh AIC (Amagami SS), I leave the fate of Ai no Kusabi in your hands. |

Being a classic, AIC should definitely make this good! I already know that fangirls have been HNNGGing over that eight minute teaser release for some years so finally when this was announced, I couldn’t believe it myself. It should be more interesting with the new voice cast but damn, the ending will be sad as before and with more episodes we might actually see a proper conclusion. While watching the teaser, I kept on remembering Ozaki (Ohkawa) from Shiki smexing Renji (Kentarou) from Bleach and felt all kinds of awkward. But, I have to get used to it because seasoned watchers should be able to take anything! From the content, it seems this will be truer to the original material so to the fans of novels and franchise, this should definitely be a treat.

Really?! Finally?! I’ve been waiting for this for a long time and I bet many others are in the same boat! New animation! New VAs and of course we get to see Riki get raped by a big ass blondie who looks more like a girl then the guy who plays the girl in this BL relationship. I’m unsure about the seiyuu of Riki being Renji from Bleach but I do approve of the seiyuu who plays Roy from FMA:B being Iason. But yeah, there actually is a pretty interesting story to this but I’m unsure if the ending is satisfying. |

The premise of the series is like something that comes out of you and friends riffing and you go, “what if an ecchi anime was made and it was about having the biggest tits” or whatever BS. It’s such a laughably stupid premise, and it’s so bad that it ends up being fun to watch and is basically a comedy show… except it’s not a parody of its own genre. I watched a couple episodes and it was just what I stated, but I still felt the character designs were fugly, oh my god so fugly! And it only got worse once Chifusa’s boobs start to get significantly larger. I admittedly would care more if there were a couple girls that were actually nice to look at, but MH is all about having boobs as big as a house; there’s so much more beauty to the female figure than tittays. |

I somehow feel Jrow’s pain, not to mention, I feel bad for the waists of all these huge breasted females. The only consolation is the fact that this is 2D. Oh also, this would not be elongated torture as each episode is around two minutes long. I can only imagine the studio will squeeze in as much boobage per frame possible to raise the DVD sales.

Okay, this one has me more than interested on how they’re going to adapt this to be TV friendly. I’ve read some of the manga and this isn’t just ecchi. What I read was almost full on hentai with just a liiiiiiittle bit of plot thrown in for the in between sex scenes and to give the characters reasons to screw each other. Not to say that what little of the plot there is isn’t interesting of course. The story is about this guy named Mizumara Tokoroten whose seiyuu is Shimono Hiro (The World God Only Knows, Ben-to) being the descendant of a family of vampire hunters meeting some girl named Lilith (Uchida Maya; Yuyu Yuri, a bunch of background characters from various other anime. Oh, she also sings the OP to this.) who is half vampire, half human. So yeah, once you get past the …er, ’ecchi’ it’s actually kind of interesting. Plus from the manga, I’ve gathered that this has more to it than guy meets girl+girl turns out to be sworn enemy=the two having some sort of forbidden love thing going on.
…Personally, I’ll be watching this to hear how well Shimono voices some of the more awkward lines. Plus I find this series unintentionally hilarious since the first chapter pretty much goes: “Let’s have sex” “…What?!” “Lolol just kidding. Get out of my sight. Now.” |

What in the world is this series all about is it like Amagami SS with sex scenes? The only thing that would come near this evil sounding show might be Yosuga no sora and that had lots of sex related fun, oh lord the puns where do they come from!? Anyway it seems like this will be censored to all kinds of hell, so if you are wanting to watch this you might be better off waiting for the special blue ray versions. I will have to take Karas word for it and try this one out, not that I have any issues with ecchi themed anime being a guy and all…

Riding on the coattails of penguins being the new “it” thing thanks to Mawaru Penguindrum, we have Minori Scramble! It’s penguins without the incest and crazy cliffhangers! Minori Scramble takes a more innocent route and dedicates itself to being about curing an elementary school girl named Tamaki of her hatred for penguins. What better way to make someone hate something less than to make a robot of that thing and have them constantly in the company of it? Brilliance. Okay, so her dad is kind of a dick for making a robo penguin, even if it is kinda cute. For better or for worse, Tamaki and the penguin-roid Minori rush around the neighbourhood solving anything else her dad mucks up.
The general appeal of this show is that it will be cute and quirky, so if that’s what you’re hungering for, this is your best bet. It just sounds so wacky, I can’t help but smile at it. It also helps that ufotable (Fate/Zero) is behind this one, meaning it will be HIGH QUALITY CUTE. |

You know I love me some scifi set in a future world! But I swear I was so damn bored with the first one I have no idea how to push myself through another one of these. Maybe I should give it another shot? Ah well, I’ll try again! Also I can’t help but laugh at the names of some of these characters, it really just makes me facepalm. Penguins and ufotable? What could go wrong there? I want some penguins in this series! YES BRING OUT THE FLIGHTLESS BIRDS!

From this PV, the character designs are pretty similar to Yuri-Seijin but character designers are different. In the short while you see the adorable penguin, you can’t do much but smile. As it’s a one episode OVA, just enjoy yourself with cute animation and Minori’s shenanigans with Tamaki. For a fact, penguins are cuuuuteooo. Kyuuuuu~

ufotable makes something. I watch it; that’s how simple it is. When they make horror, I stop and stare because of everything I’ve seen of their’s reeks of animation quality and they animate blood oh so beautifully… If you don’t believe me, go watch Kara no Kyoukai. Anyways, coming back to this hour-long OVA, we have Tadashi and his girlfriend Kaori being terrorized by fishes with metal legs in Okinawa. Yes, you heard that right! Some smelly fishes got the power to not only smell terribly but due to government tinkering with them (if anime were to be believed, Japanese Government is one meddlesome body), they have the power to transfer a contractable disease dangerous to humans. Who knows, this diseases turns them into mutant fishes as well?! We will find out when we watch this because Kaori does get infected and all rests on Tadashi to find a solution for returning her to normal… or not. Bwahahaaa… you will be seeing dead fishy eyes and that round mouth gound >O after you see this… but you should see this, definitely! :3

I see ufotable working on this, and I’m interested right away in what they’re doing. I read the premise, and I’m just like, “what the hell?” and then realize how awesome the idea of seeing Gyo is with a quality studio at the helm. It’s got this B-movie kind of vibe to it when you see the picture of a fish with metal legs attached to it, but the anime might end up being awesome horror material.

Any horror is fine, but NOT JUNJI ITO’S. OH GOD UFOTABLE WHY YUH DOING THIS TO ME. I’m scared. This thing haunted me for 3 days straight even when the lights are on. Even when it was bright sunny afternoon. Those disgusting fishes and infected humans haunted me in my sleep. The nasty operation scenes make me unable to turn off the light at night. I’m fucking scared now. Dead serious….Shiiitttt. Ah, fuck…..Fuuucckkkk… Nope. Cannot deal with this.

You see, this is the benefit of being the author of two unrelated series: you can make a crossover of these two, no matter how strange or retarded or crappy the idea sounds. Fortunately, I am a fanatic fan of both of these anime that, unfortunately, don’t have that much fans out there. THAT’S RIGHT I THINK ITSUKA AND LOL HEROES ARE AWESOME. Sooo I am pretty fine with this idea, even if it’s going to turn out crappy. I think. It’s ok, I miss Ryner. Speaking of LOL Heroes, where the hell is the second season?… Anyhow, interestingly, the story will be based on the fans’ tweets to the author. So it will be up to the fans whether this story will be crappy or entertaining. Oh well, we’ll see…I still want the second seasons of both series |

Whaaat the fuuuu is this?! Wow I have to say I would never ever pair these two shows up, what connects them? I assume some portal Gekkou rips open into the other world?! Sweet jesus it sounds so dumb but why the hell not. I would love to see more anime companies try this formula, fingers crossed for Kore wa zombie desu ka? meeting the cast of C3 or some other supernatural series.

I was so not expecting a remake of this series.. well a part of the series. I was perfectly satisfied with this classical series having an actual ending to it. I was depressed from seeing an end but it just shows how well of a life of this wandering samurai was depicted. But yeah, here we have a remake of the battle between Shishio Makoto and Himura Kenshin. But it’s not just any remake, this story is being told through the eyes of the the Oniwabanshū ninja, Makimachi Misao. We will see not only a new point of view, but new animation and you Kenshin fans out there can probably guess that there will be awesome BGMs which will probably bring an even awesome OST.
The director of this new OVA series is the same from the original anime, Furuhashi Kazahiro. As for the seiyuu cast, all of the leads are the same except for Saitou Hajime being played by Ken Narita (Sesshoumaru from Inu Yasha). The first volume DVD/BluR is being released March 21, 2012 and the second next summer. You can guess that it’s going to be an expensive purchase with the a box illustration, storyboard artbook and other things included. Now if only this product would be international. But yes, this is something to look forward to and if you’ve never heard of Rurouni Kenshin, then you better not mention it to me. |

Damn it DEEN. Every time I decide to hate you, you come out with something awesome like this. Yes, the Shishio battle is being remade from Misao (who just happens to be my favourite RuroKen Character)’s POV. I’d say more about this, but honestly, all I remember from this series is the Enishi arc since it’s been over 3 years since I last read this. While the director (Furuhashi Kazehiro) is the same one from the original anime, there are some minor cast differences (aka Narita Ken (Seimei from Loveless, Sesshoumaru from Inuyasha) is the seiyuu for Saito, since his original seiyuu ( Suzuoki Hirotaka) died back in 2006). So yeah, animation is being done by Studio DEEN (the people who made me love/ruined Higurashi for me). Will this be a hit or a miss? I don’t know. Either way, the only thing I know for sure is that the animation will be much easier to watch than the original 1996 anime, which I plan on marathoning again… eventually.

Whoa it has been a freaking long as time since I saw any RurouniKenshin related stuffs! I mean the series came out right around the time I started watching Outlaw star and Gundam Wing when they were both running on Toonami. Kenshin was right around that time, but I always loved the action scenes and the fighting! Those parts were always the best moments for me. Although the TV series had one of those strange endings, it that left the door always open for more. So I will have to check this movie out! Just to see what DEEN will do with Kenshin…Don’t fail me DEEN! Or will it fail? Find out soon!

I didn’t watch the Tv series after watching the first episode. No Puck and not that good animation quality=NO.
But I’ve read and reread the manga 3 times already and it’s still just as awesome as reading it the first time.
The reason why I’ve been so exited about the movie is that it appears that they intent to stick closer to the manga than the TV series and generally the first episode really told me everything I needed to know not to keep on watching.

Where did Fall go? That was incredibly quick to say the least. Well, let’s get started on Winter 2012.
Black Rock Shooter: I can’t believe we have to wait so long for Black Rock Shooter and I’m bummed that it’s only 8 episodes (Saw that on Anime News Network). That’s an irregular number for any series. What threw me off are the differences between the OVA and the series, like the artwork of the characters is not the same. Like Dead Master’s veil and glasses.
Senhime Zesshou Symphgear: This anime looks interesting. I always give a chance to anything that has supernatural in the genre. And since Aoi Yuki and Yuka Iguchi are part of the cast, it’s just another reason to check it out.
Nisemonogatari: Yes, Nisemonogatari is near!!! I’ve been itching to see what happens after Bakemonogatari which was badass. And this time, Koyomi’s sisters are taking the lead. At least it’ll help keep me occupied until the prequel movie Kizumonogatari comes along. And if I feel like it, I might put them in order and marathon the entire thing. LOL.
Another: The trailer alone had me creeped out even though there wasn’t much to show, not to mention the girl with the eye patch. Its genres are Mystery, Drama and Horror so I’m hoping that it will be exceptionally impressive though I’m not expecting it on Shiki’s level but would settle for Blood-C’s level.
High School DxD: Not sure what to expect so I’ll just wing it and see whether it deserves to watched or not.
Inu x Boku: Another supernatural anime, this time with a loli and a guy with two colored eyes? And he’s a fox demon? Maybe I’ll check it out. After all, first impressions are what counts.
Holy Knight OVA: Hmm… a vampire based OVA?! YES!!! Whew, I needed that because I was getting a severe backlash from vampire withdrawal and it wasn’t pretty. I’ll be eagerly awaiting this one. And hopefully, Kara, we’ll get a Bloody Cross adaption in the near future and for me, adaptions of Blood Parade and Mondlicht. And Overcooled, if you were interested in the vampire part and then you got scared by it, I think that’s a good thing. LOL. I see I’m not alone; there are few other vampire lovers here as well.
A pair of Rurouni Kenshin OVAs after so many years? What the hell took so long?! I was a little kid when it was playing on TV. I watched every episode I could.

BRS- Yeah….I am really bummed out about that whole 8 episodes…I swear the first two better not be a damn recap! But I know we will have some sort of “what you forgot” episode. Worst case we can hope for some hr episodes? or 30+
Symphgear- That series sounds interesting, right! I will watch cause <3 Index's VA Yuka Iguchi.
Nisemonogatari- YES YES AND YES! I loved all of the characters from Bakemongatari they are all amazing, I bet people are drooling to hear Hanakazawa again.
Another- PA works doing horror? Thank you! ALL MY MONEY, then again I have yet to see a horror anime do much. I guess if you said Mairai Nikki? Does that count as horror? Anyway looks great.
DxD- I will watch anyway cause I am currently watching Maken Ki, yes censored to all hell but not as bad as some shows out there.
Rurouni Kenshin OVAs yay!! I hope we get action xDD

I wonder if this season will go as fast as Fall did.
BRS: I hope those 8 episodes will be worth it. With Hanazawa playing the lead, it might turn out good. I want to see BRS’s other enemies.
Nisemonogatari: Let’s see how Araragi’s sister will pan out as main characters. The cast is pretty much the same except there will be no Araragi or Senjougahara. Why?!!
Another: Since this is supposed to be horror, it better deliver because not all anime seem to do well in the horror category (Unless it’s Shiki or Hellsing). And yeah, Mirai Nikki is supposed to be horror as well and it’s doing a good job so far.
Most of the shows I’ve seen on the list, I’ve seen Yoko Hikasa’s name. She’s even playing the lead for High School DxD. I guess she wants to create her own virus. But most of all, I’m extremely pissed that season 2 of Kore Wa Zombie Desu Ka has been pushed to next season. *grinds teeth*. Hurry up, next season!!!

Yeah, having an adaption of Bloody Cross would have me grinning from ear to ear. I love it when Tsukimiya and Hinata are together and constantly trying to backstab each other for the book. For the record, they’d make a good couple if they weren’t trying to get one another killed. I love it when Tsukimiya is sucking blood from her victims, especially the way she did it to Hinata: By a bloody kiss. LOL.
For other good vampire manga out there, I strongly recommend the recent chapters of Dance in the Vampire Bund, Blood Parade, Mondlicht and Yougen no Chi.
I really hope Holy Knight will be great and I hope the mixed blood vampire girl bites a lot of people. The key part I really love is when they get a grip on their prey and bites them. In my opinion, the female vamps I’ve seen who have bitten a large number of people (or demons) would be Tsukimiya, Sunako, Karin and Mina Tepes.

Black Rock Shooter: Ahhh the OVA was kind of mehhish in my opnion. Such beatuiful animation, but I expected more DX. Though I think its still gonna be interesting to watch though. So still on my watch list.
Amagami SS: AMAGAMI SS AGAIN??? I remeber reading the blogs with Hato-Kun. Wow can’t believe it got a 2nd season. Though it was an interesting to watch throughout. It wasn’t really a bad show for its type of genre, just usually think shows like that don’t get 2nd seasons. Though I’m pretty sure I’m wrong lol.
Nisemonogatari: Another Bakemonogatari stroy???? OMG SHAFT IS BACK IN ACTION. Though I don’t mind the focus on the Koyomi sisters, I hope we can see some of the other characters from before too. (I <3 Sejougahara)

Thanks for the motivation. If there’s any hint of yuri in any of the anime you mentioned, I’m sticking to it. There definitely needs to more yuri shows around. Girls trading spit and the possibility of them shamelessly getting it on is a plus anytime.

The only show I’m actually excited for is Another I think this will be the only show I’ll be following from the winter season, if I will have time for it. I love the art and music is also pretty interesting. We’ll see, we’ll see. Aside from that, Danshi koukousei no nichijou (can you imagine a bolder name? xD) looks really funny and positive. I don’t think this wil be another Kimi to Boku, but nice enough for the laughs. XD

To get things summarised, the anime I’m listing for Winter is everything except Senhime (not my style of music), prince of tennis and area no kishi (no fan of sports), high school dxd (too much boobage for the year).
The series I will be looking forward is definitely Black Rock Shooter. Other than that will be Nisemonogatari and Another. FYI I started immediately to marathon Aquarion to prepare for the next season.
