With Bakemonogatari, we saw how brilliant Shaft can get and everyone simply lapped it up. However perverted Araragi got, audience just accepted him and there were even times that you felt jealous of him just because he got all DEM girls and some people are still discussing how he should have ended up with Hanekawa rather than Senjou. Though the center-point of this anime was never the relationship angle but the supernatural bit. Akiyuki Shinbo returns as the Director with most of his old Bakemonogatari crew to continue this tale. You shouldn’t confuse this with Kizumonogatari, which is a prequel to Bakemonogatari, telling you the despair that Araragi felt in being a vampire and of course of Kiss-Shot/Shinobu.

Coming to the main storyline, this one emphasizes more on the Koyomi sisters, also known as Fire Sisters because of their hysteria and hot headedness. You can say they have a brother complex and the reason they are always all over him. Though, it’s not going to be all fun and games because Kaiki Deishu is back in town and he not only deceived Senjougahara before but is responsible for Hanekawa’s curse too. The Fire Sisters will take him on but of course, lots of development will ensue. Along with the previous voice cast, two amazing names have been added, one of Maaya Sakamoto’s as Shinobu’s (she will finally talk!) and MikiShin, who’ll be an excellent baddie. And I hope you haven’t forgotten the awesomeness of Kimi no Shiranai Monogatari by supercell? Well, Ryo returns with ClariS, for an ending theme so we’ll have to see who bags the opening but knowing Shaft it would be good.

// C O M M E N T S
Anyone that is a follower of Metanorn knows most of us have huge hearts when it comes to the Bakemonogatari series and then we got news of a Nisemonogatari I think everyone let out a collective scream of excitement or some type of reaction. I noticed a lot of the main characters like Senjogahara all of a sudden got super short hair maybe that is the new style Shaft is going for? And it looks like we finally get to hear and see more from Araragi’s sisters. Voice work looks solid as usual with any Shaft series, starting right off with Eri Kitamura as Karen (Yachiyo from Working!!), Yuka Iguchi as Tsukihi (Maria from Boku wa tomodachi ga Sukunai) and it seems the same actors for the other popular characters return to entertain us once again, which should provide enough shaft head tilts for everyone to enjoy and crazy camera work that we love so much.
I don’t think I really GOT Bakemonogatari when I first watched it. It had a lot of talking, a lot of puns I didn’t understand, and was my first experience with SHAFT. In retrospect, I realize it’s an amazing series that I really want to re-watch before I dive into Nisemonogatari – probably my most anticipated anime for the season. I’m a big fan of anything SHAFT does, so I tend to faithfully follow anything they make from now or. Or at the very least try it and drop it if it bombs (*coughs* Denpa Onna)

ASDFGHJKL!!!! I freaking love this manga series. The story here is that Sakakibara Kouichi (Atsushi Abe (ITSUKI FROM BLOOD-C!!!)) transfers to a new school. However, there is a specific story about his class where 26 years ago, a popular, all around perfect student named Misaki suddenly died and everyone decided to live in denial and pretend that she was still alive. However, at graduation, the class photo mysteriously had Misaki in it as well, even though she was supposed to have died. Anyways, Kouichi meets a girl with an eye patch named Misaki ( Takamori Natsumi (Mei from Yumekui Merry)) who everybody else ignores, things start getting creepy, and people start dying from there. The manga is plenty awesome and gore filled. Plus Kouichi wants to go to art college, instantly earning points from me.

Hmm… if I had to compare this to something, I would actually say that it’s a bit like a mix of Blood-C and Shiki (minus the vampires). Things are pretty slice of life-ish at the beginning (though nowhere near the Blood-C extent). The atmosphere is mysterious and hints are dropped, but none of the answers to the mystery come easy. However, the storyline picks up once people start dying. Anyways, the director (Mizushima Tsutomu) was actually the director for Blood-C (as well as XXXHolic and Hare+Guu). As for the animation, I can’t say that I’ve seen much by P.A. Works, but I remember CANAAN being pretty solid. The music is being covered by Otani Ko, who also worked on Hakuouki and Gundam Wing. Oh, they also did the soundtrack for Kyousogiga. Hopefully the music is good in this as well since it could make or break the atmosphere for this anime. Psh, what’s wrong with Ali Project, Jrow?

// C O M M E N T S
Whoaaaa that trailer?! Holy crap P.A. Works you better not fail at this series, because it looks really freaking fantastic! I am with Jrow on this, ever since Angel beats and Hanasaku Iroha, I am starting to fall for all of P. A. Works animation style. I really hope they can pull off this really creepy sounding story, and give us some gore! Now on to the voice acting side of things for our main two characters, we have Mie Misaki as Takamori Natsumi, she is still somewhat new (Hibana from Deadman Wonderland) and Kouichi Sakakibara as Atsushi Abe (Touma from Index). So it looks like we have a decent cast to listen to. Hopefully P. A. Works can handle this and give us something addictive.
In the past year, I’ve really fallen for P.A. Works and their animation style. I enjoyed how Angel Beats looked in 2010, and I loved how pristine Hanasaku Iroha looks. I don’t think anybody does backgrounds as good as PA does. Interesting to note is that Another doesn’t seem like a PA anime. Vibrant, bright and colorful might be words used to describe past series like the ones I mentioned and also Clannad and True Tears, but Another is based off the Yukito Ayatsuji horror novel and the art we’ve seen so far would lead me to believe that this anime could be dark. Son of a bitch. Damn ALI Project is doing the opening. Can’t think of a j-band I hate more. Anime dropped! Oh wait, they did one of the Geass themes, and that turned out alright. Ok, back on board.

What is this, I don’t even… Brains Base is releasing a damn fourth season of a series?! Am I dreaming or Omori is getting old? I guess, his love for Yuki Modorikawa’s work knows no bound and he’s bringing us another Natsume Yuujinchou season just because he likes it. Sorry, Durarara!!, Baccano! and Kuragehime! (T_T)… At least Kamisama Dolls had a preview making it seem another season’s in process. Anyways, onto positive things, we will get more youkai stories and of course sweet, sweet Natsume with the furball Nyanko-sensei and his signature NYAAHAHAHAA. Definitely more Natori and Matoba as well because Natsume is getting into thick of things and if I say, the youkai-god arc will be animated, I won’t be wrong. The old seiyuu cast returns so I’ll be very happy to hear Kamiyan in a positive role again. And yeah, if you are a new watcher, fidgeting over to check this out or not, you can listen to my thoughts over at AAA podcast on it to make up your mind. This is an easy series to catch up to with it’s feel-good atmosphere so do check it out!

// C O M M E N T S
My body is ready for more Natsume. I’m so glad Natsume is still going strong even at its fourth season. Thank you so much Takahiro Omori for being such a great director of Natsume *tears of joys*. It’s interesting how Natsume keeps getting better and better as the story goes on. Not once I’ve ever thought that Natsume is boring. Heck, I want Natsume to go on forever, even until I die, unlike some anime/manga… *coughcoughAirGearcoughcough*ANYHOW, I’m so excited for the fourth season because some of my favorite arcs will be animated here. Yippee!!
Oh, God. My body has never been more ready. This series will never be bad. It has always had a strong source of characters, setting and story to draw form and since it shows no sign of stopping my interest is piqued to see just what gems this fourth season will hold. San definitely took a more dramatic and exciting route, which I felt actually weakened it, so it will be interesting to see how many notches – up or down – Shi takes things.

Ah, Tenipuri. Just when you thought the original series had told everything it needed to tell, the story continues! To be honest, there isn’t much of a story aside from “cute guys playing tennis.” The real pull here is the unique tennis moves that each player has, which are, for the most part, entirely impossible in real life. Trust me, I spent a whole summer with some friends trying, and we only accomplished the moon volley. This simple premise is somehow enough to generate some incredibly tense matches and sometimes ridiculous situations. I haven’t watched the anime, but I’ve read the manga, and it’s actually really good.

The continuation brings back all of the favourite characters of the original season and pits them against international players. It sounds like a bit of a cheap cash-in extension (this is the series that has MUSICALS to amek more money) but of course, I’m gonna watch it as a tenipuri fangirl. The same director from the anime is behind this one, so watchers of the original series know what to expect. I’m not sure what to expect from MSC in terms of animation, but if Production I.G. is helping, then it should at least be…decent. One thing I do know – the seiyuu cast for this show is always amazing.

// C O M M E N T S

I’ve been waiting for this for a few years now. I mean, there was the manga but it’s not the same unless there’s the anime to continue it off. This is one of my favorite series and man I’ve re-watched it so many times. It’s freaking 100+ episodes and then there’s a 26 episode OVA series to continue off form the series. Also, lets not forget that there’s a live action chinese series and musicals. Prince of Tennis is a big franchise and it’s not aimed at just fangirls but kids. But yeah, you have no idea how excited I am for this series.

The only downside to this anime is the fact that we’re fangirling over middle school kids… YES WTF!! These guys may look like high schoolers, but they’re actually in middle school and the main character, Echizen Ryoma, is only in his first year. I’m hoping that this new series has them at least a year older or so. This new series is about the creation of a Japan All Star team that will eventually play internationally. I heard that it’s a team that consists of 50 players? I’m sure this new series will contain a sort of tournament to narrow down the members of the team and then they will go off and compete against other countries. I like these tournaments and of course I want to see Ryoma-kun kick some tennis butt with his awesome cocky attitude that he can back up with his elite skillz.

Oh hey, look it’s another big boob series with sunbeams-of-death-censors for everyone to wait on those offical Blu-ray Dvds! And getting killed on your first date? Ouch that has to be the worst way to go! You didn’t even get to make out with your date. Time to form a super harem with the main guy surrounded by six other “magical powered” girls but you can expect to see some very sexual scenes, which is why this series will bomb the first time around, but it will sell really fast after the series finishes.

On the voice acting side of this series we have, Yoko Hikasa as Rias Gremory (Mio from K-ON!), Yuuki Kaji as Issei Hyudo (Shu from Guilty Crown), Ayana Taketatsu as Koneko Tojo (Tsugumu from Guilty Crown), Azumi Asakura as Argento Asia (Yukiho from The Idolmaster), Kenji Nojima as Yuto Kiba (Fumito from Blood-C), and finally Shizuka Itou as Akeno Himejima (Kozure from Working!!). So, there we go, a huge cast of new and somewhat familiar actors, mostly people from Guilty Crown but that is fine right? Well I will have to check this series out even though it might be really dull.

// C O M M E N T S
@anaaga – it’s 2012. Time to refill the anime boob quotient! What’s the best thing about this anime? It has not one, but two AT-X airings, likely meaning an uncensored cut will air on television. The manga is risque but never shows fully-exposed racks, and the PV looks like a desperate plea for ratings. If the uncensored cut does air on TV as I’m thinking it might be, then I’ll follow this is my anime equivalent of junk food. Yoko Hikasa and Yuuki Kaji are pretty good at what they do and the main girl character Riasu is pretty hot. So yeah, boobs. Boobs.
No. Enough boobs for this year already. @Jrow – Er, I was testing you! Yay Jrow you passed. You could’ve email/tweet/DM me about this. Now I look stupid T^T

SQUEEE indeed, anaaga!!! I don’t even know the first thing about the author, but I do know that this seems to have pretty much everything I love and more~ (…minus Kamiyan and Ishida Akira). Anyways, the story is about some girl named Shirakiin Riricho (Hidaka Rina (Kaede in Tiger & Bunny, Last Order in Index)), who moves out to some elite dorm because she has a complex about being independant thanks to her rich bitch family. There, she meets the HETEROCHROMIA (squee!) bishie Miketsukami Soushi (Nakamura Yuuichi (Grey in Fairy Tail, Gai in Guilty Crown)), who is actually a fox spirit she rescued once. He is also her body guard because for whatever reason, everyone living in the dorm is assigned one from some organization called the SS (Secret Service). However, Riricho is some kind of weird tsundere (…called a tsunshun), but instead of getting dere after being tsun, she just gets depressed. Anyways, she seems like a strong female lead and unlike most heroines, SHE CAN ACTUALLY FIGHT BY HERSELF WITHOUT NEEDING CONSTANT RESCUING. WHAT A CONCEPT.

Despite the totally shoujo vibe the story and art gives off, the original manga comes from a shounen magazine. Yeah. This is apparently shounen (…with some romantic undertones. A lot of romantic undertones. Though with a plot like this, it would be hard not to have them). The rest of the seiyuu cast includes the ever-famous Hanazawa Kana, Sugita Tomokazu and Miyano Mamoru (though I’m not sure if I’m mentally prepared to see him as Zange). Oh and nobody in the dorm is human. I still have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA how this counts as shounen though. The manga is as shoujo as shoujo can get.

// C O M M E N T S
Like Fujiwara Cocoa’s (squee!!) previous works, the spiritual being in Inu x Boku SS is a guy. Well, that’s what it seems from the summary. Fujiwara Cocoa got this sexist system going on, where the guys always turn out to be non-human. Anyhow, seeing the summary since I haven’t read the manga, it seems that this anime is about some rich girl who sees the need to live outside her house, and her guard is a Fox Spirit? Seems that I’ve seen the characters before too… Oh yeah, Ojousama to Youkai Shitsuji. Man, I don’t even know what it is about. You need to ask Karakuri about the story. I’m watching it because I’ve been a fan of Fujiwara Cocoa’s Watashi no Ookami-san and Dear (which, I think, should be turned into anime because both of them are AWESOME). I don’t know much about the director (Naokatsu Tsuda) since it seems that this will be her first time being a full-time director, but this anime has promising seiyuu in it, so it should be good. I still demand the anime for Dear though.
I–I… like guys who can cry… And if they cry to be my dogs, I’ll accept them instantly. One of my favourite manga is Kimi wa Pet. Oh also, Hiya thar, Alice, from solving normal mysteries, you’ve jumped to secret service now? However, the element that really attracted me is the supernatural angle and half-human/youkai business. Of course, the bishie helps and when he’s voiced by Nakamura Yuuichi… HNNGG ensues. Miyano Mamoru and Tomokazu Sugita are giant bonuses. If anything, you should watch for the bi-coloured eyes alone.

Original Creator: Hiroaki Igano (story) & Kaya Tsukiyama (art) Episodes: Unknown
Producers: Shin-Ei Animation Director: Hirofumi Ogura
Seiyuu: Show ▼

Trailer: N/A

Futubol? Sign me up! This winter season is looking pretty good so far (for me that is). We have not one but two sports anime here. Oh how exciting. So yeah, this is series is adapted from a manga created by Kaya Tsukiyama who does the art and Hiroaki Igano (aka Tadashi Agi) who is the story creator of popular mangas like Blood Monday (which was adapted into a popular Live Action), GetBackers, Kami no Shizuku (live action and anime) and more. Along with a great story creator, the seiyuu cast is looking good with the addition of Fukuyama Jun which has Hime and Kyo all over this. Aside from that, the lead character is voiced by Sanpei Yuko who does the voices of Testsuo from Arakawa Under the Bridge and Cure Dream from Precure. Then there’s Nana voiced by Itou Shizuka who does the voices of Lenalee from D.Gray-man and Haruka from Amagami SS. But I’m sure all that matters is that Jun is in this. XD

So what is this anime about? Well, it’s basically about a high school boy named Aizawa Kakeru (Sanpei Yuko) who has no self confidence in his football skills that he ends up becoming the school’s football team manager. On the other hand, there’s Kakeru’s brother, Suguru (Fukuyama Jun) who is the team’s ace player. Suguru believes that Kakeru a has strong talent in the sport but Kakeru’s disbelief causes the two to argue. Then comes along a returning childhood friend named Nana whom, of course, Kakeru had a crush on as a child. Things are about to change for Kakeru with the return of Nana (Itou Shizuka) and a tragic accident. So yeah, you can probably see how predictable this story is. But hey! I’m all in it for the futubol.

// C O M M E N T S
Soccer anime? Oh man I really wanted to watch some sports anime, but should I make this my first? Now if this was more like Softenni I would be all over this! Sadly it is full of manly men like Jun Fukuyama as Suguru Aizawa (Toori from Horizon in the middle of nowhere) unless he plays the random comical character? However it seems this role is going to be very serious for him. At least we have a sexy looking manager with Nana Mishima voiced by Itou Shizuka (Haruka from Amagami SS), and Yuko Sanpei as Kakeru Aizawa (Selim from Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood). Seems like we have a few old and new voices to enjoy.
Oh thank God. I was losing hope that Jun wouldn’t appear on this list. I was honestly about to renounce the winter season. I can’t say that Jun + Sports is my dream combo, but as long as there promises to be lots of him and the designs are cute then I can’t say I really care.

If you think that this is just another show about lolis doing moe things for no reason, YOU ARE DEAD WRONG (…okay, that’s kind of a lie, but this show doesn’t take moe very seriously.) The first season of this was so freaking hilarious. I mean, a loli was punched by a bear (she totally had it coming too). It doesn’t get much more entertaining than that. Lolis. Being punched by bears. Hilarious. Er, the story ACTUALLY revolves around a school for loli’s who want to become detectives and have weird superpowers called Toys. Last season was about the 4 main girls losing their Toys and trying to get them back, so I have no idea what this season will be about.

Anyways, like the first season, J.C. Staff is animating this and Suzuko Mimori, Sora Tokui, Shuuta Morishima and Mikoi Sasaki are the seiyuu for the main characters again. Yes, they’re all unheard of voice actresses (some who have never had roles outside of this series), but they actually did a pretty good job last season. …Oh, plus there’s also Kishio Daisuke (Vampire Knight) and Shimono Hiro (The World Only God Knows) in this as well. Long story short, there is absolutely NOTHING intellectual here, but lots of comedy (more incentive to watch: Kishio’s character strips. Frequently.). SOMEONE ELSE FROM META NEEDS TO WATCH THIS SO I’M NOT SO ALOOOOONE.

// C O M M E N T S
Gay gay gay super gay, JC Staff, MAKE THE DAMN RAILGUN SEASON TWO or work on that Index movie? PLEASE ANYTHING, just do not make any more of this lame ass magical girl crap…. Oh at least there are magical girls…right? This is no Madoka so I will stick to my bright and colorful precure series.

I’m on board with all of the romance series. I may be unpopular here, but I am really interested in Listen to Me Girls..
I think it might be a ‘pull the rug out from under you series’ Lotte actually did do that. It was a bit squicky until it got to be charming in it’s own way. Like Fosh, I’m going to be wary of bad tsundere jokes.

Ano Natsu looks and kinda feels like the spiritual successor of both Toradora and Ano Hana…so I’m not only on board, I’m setting my deck chair up and ordering the bubbly.

      • Mitsuki says:

I didn’t watch the Tv series after watching the first episode. No Puck and not that good animation quality=NO.
But I’ve read and reread the manga 3 times already and it’s still just as awesome as reading it the first time.
The reason why I’ve been so exited about the movie is that it appears that they intent to stick closer to the manga than the TV series and generally the first episode really told me everything I needed to know not to keep on watching.
AND THERE WILL BE PUCK *_________________*

    • Foshizzel says:

.Hack for the win! That CGI movie actually looks amazing, can’t wait to check it out.

Welcome! I hope you find lots of shows to watch in Winter.

  8. BlackBriar says:

Where did Fall go? That was incredibly quick to say the least. Well, let’s get started on Winter 2012.

Black Rock Shooter: I can’t believe we have to wait so long for Black Rock Shooter and I’m bummed that it’s only 8 episodes (Saw that on Anime News Network). That’s an irregular number for any series. What threw me off are the differences between the OVA and the series, like the artwork of the characters is not the same. Like Dead Master’s veil and glasses.

Senhime Zesshou Symphgear: This anime looks interesting. I always give a chance to anything that has supernatural in the genre. And since Aoi Yuki and Yuka Iguchi are part of the cast, it’s just another reason to check it out.

Nisemonogatari: Yes, Nisemonogatari is near!!! I’ve been itching to see what happens after Bakemonogatari which was badass. And this time, Koyomi’s sisters are taking the lead. At least it’ll help keep me occupied until the prequel movie Kizumonogatari comes along. And if I feel like it, I might put them in order and marathon the entire thing. LOL.

Another: The trailer alone had me creeped out even though there wasn’t much to show, not to mention the girl with the eye patch. Its genres are Mystery, Drama and Horror so I’m hoping that it will be exceptionally impressive though I’m not expecting it on Shiki’s level but would settle for Blood-C’s level.

High School DxD: Not sure what to expect so I’ll just wing it and see whether it deserves to watched or not.

Inu x Boku: Another supernatural anime, this time with a loli and a guy with two colored eyes? And he’s a fox demon? Maybe I’ll check it out. After all, first impressions are what counts.

Holy Knight OVA: Hmm… a vampire based OVA?! YES!!! Whew, I needed that because I was getting a severe backlash from vampire withdrawal and it wasn’t pretty. I’ll be eagerly awaiting this one. And hopefully, Kara, we’ll get a Bloody Cross adaption in the near future and for me, adaptions of Blood Parade and Mondlicht. And Overcooled, if you were interested in the vampire part and then you got scared by it, I think that’s a good thing. LOL. I see I’m not alone; there are few other vampire lovers here as well.

A pair of Rurouni Kenshin OVAs after so many years? What the hell took so long?! I was a little kid when it was playing on TV. I watched every episode I could.

    • Ness says:

I’m excited for the Kenshin OVAs. But this is just a remake from Misao’s perspective. I could have lived without any additions because of not expecting any. But stuff happens XD I’d totally buy the BluR releases if they were international.><

      • BlackBriar says:

A remake OVA? I hope they keep to the actual story and not screw it up or it defeats the purpose of having the OVA at all.

    • Foshizzel says:

DAMN FALL! Why so short? Seriously….

BRS- Yeah….I am really bummed out about that whole 8 episodes…I swear the first two better not be a damn recap! But I know we will have some sort of “what you forgot” episode. Worst case we can hope for some hr episodes? or 30+

Symphgear- That series sounds interesting, right! I will watch cause <3 Index's VA Yuka Iguchi.

Nisemonogatari- YES YES AND YES! I loved all of the characters from Bakemongatari they are all amazing, I bet people are drooling to hear Hanakazawa again.

Another- PA works doing horror? Thank you! ALL MY MONEY, then again I have yet to see a horror anime do much. I guess if you said Mairai Nikki? Does that count as horror? Anyway looks great.

DxD- I will watch anyway cause I am currently watching Maken Ki, yes censored to all hell but not as bad as some shows out there.

Rurouni Kenshin OVAs yay!! I hope we get action xDD

      • BlackBriar says:

I wonder if this season will go as fast as Fall did.

BRS: I hope those 8 episodes will be worth it. With Hanazawa playing the lead, it might turn out good. I want to see BRS’s other enemies.

Nisemonogatari: Let’s see how Araragi’s sister will pan out as main characters. The cast is pretty much the same except there will be no Araragi or Senjougahara. Why?!!

Another: Since this is supposed to be horror, it better deliver because not all anime seem to do well in the horror category (Unless it’s Shiki or Hellsing). And yeah, Mirai Nikki is supposed to be horror as well and it’s doing a good job so far.

Most of the shows I’ve seen on the list, I’ve seen Yoko Hikasa’s name. She’s even playing the lead for High School DxD. I guess she wants to create her own virus. But most of all, I’m extremely pissed that season 2 of Kore Wa Zombie Desu Ka has been pushed to next season. *grinds teeth*. Hurry up, next season!!!

        • Kyokai says:

For Nisemonogatari. There will be Araragi and Senjou in Nisemonogatari, even if they are not the main focus. We’ll be seeing them around.
And you know, BB, time flies~ Spring will be coming before you know it. :3

    • Karakuri says:

An adaption of Bloody Cross would make my life. Seriously.

…I have a feeling that you’ll enjoy Holy Knight though XD.

      • BlackBriar says:

Yeah, having an adaption of Bloody Cross would have me grinning from ear to ear. I love it when Tsukimiya and Hinata are together and constantly trying to backstab each other for the book. For the record, they’d make a good couple if they weren’t trying to get one another killed. I love it when Tsukimiya is sucking blood from her victims, especially the way she did it to Hinata: By a bloody kiss. LOL.

For other good vampire manga out there, I strongly recommend the recent chapters of Dance in the Vampire Bund, Blood Parade, Mondlicht and Yougen no Chi.

I really hope Holy Knight will be great and I hope the mixed blood vampire girl bites a lot of people. The key part I really love is when they get a grip on their prey and bites them. In my opinion, the female vamps I’ve seen who have bitten a large number of people (or demons) would be Tsukimiya, Sunako, Karin and Mina Tepes.

  9. Overcooled says:

Oh man, I’m just getting a first look at the graphics Ness made for this list. AMAZINGGGGG. Is it bad taste to praise our own site’s season preview? Oh well….

I hope the next season is good, even if I don’t pick up anything new to blog. :3

    • Ness says:

      Thanks OC~!

I hope so too for the next season and that I have more time XD

    • Foshizzel says:

OC FOR GRAPHICAL PRESIDENT! Make it happen.

Tag teams for everyone! That tag team poster is going to get lots of shows complete…they are so cheating! xDD

  10. Reaper says:

Argh, so much to watch!!! Well, there it goes, my summer holidays just disappeared…:D Good work to the Awesome team of Metanorn!

  11. Joojoobees says:

Well done, guys. I definitely learned a few things.

  12. Samantha Zan says:

Wow can’t believe this post is up already! Great job again Metanorn team ^_^. But anyway, wow lotta shows for Winter, my picks are…

Black Rock Shooter: Ahhh the OVA was kind of mehhish in my opnion. Such beatuiful animation, but I expected more DX. Though I think its still gonna be interesting to watch though. So still on my watch list.

Amagami SS: AMAGAMI SS AGAIN??? I remeber reading the blogs with Hato-Kun. Wow can’t believe it got a 2nd season. Though it was an interesting to watch throughout. It wasn’t really a bad show for its type of genre, just usually think shows like that don’t get 2nd seasons. Though I’m pretty sure I’m wrong lol.

Nisemonogatari: Another Bakemonogatari stroy???? OMG SHAFT IS BACK IN ACTION. Though I don’t mind the focus on the Koyomi sisters, I hope we can see some of the other characters from before too. (I <3 Sejougahara)

Another: Horror, Supernatural…YES, YES, YES!!!!!! 8D

New Prince of Tennis: It was my first anime about sports. My god I miss this show….Bring back Seigaku 8D

Gyo: Junji Ito? The author who wrote Tomie and Uzumaki? I. AM. JUMPING. ONTO. THE. BANDWAGON. NOW.

I swear I thought I saw Kana Hanazawa like 3 times on the first page lol. Nice to know that she's still spreading her virus around xD

    • Foshizzel says:

      We are fast! Hooray!

BRS- Yep yep and yep! 8 episodes is sadness and suffering thou….lame but I will watch anyway.

More Amagami SS! Yep yep can we get more Nishishishi oh god yes I will make it my new ringtone.

DAMN THAT HANAZAWA VIRUS! Hopefully we all got our shots..

  13. Avalon says:

I could swear that the guys who created High School Dxd tried to copy S-Cry-ed powers. The hand that the main character got is a total rip off of Kazuma’s shell bullet lv2 arm.

    • Foshizzel says:

Well there is a girl just like that in Maken-ki! Gloved weapon of awesome, it totally adds 20% to her boob-jiggle.

  14. Avalon says:

hey did anyone take notice that Coppelion still hasn’t aired when it was supposed to air months ago. Whats with the hold up?

    • Kyokai says:

When we reviewed it last season, there was no info on producers, crew or even seiyuu cast so I think it has been shelved. We’ll update you whenever we hear about it. :3

    • Foshizzel says:

That series has flown under the radar, I haven’t seen a lot of DL links or any comments on it…seems like it failed before it got off the ground.

  15. amado says:

*once again, reserving this spot for my comment sooner or later*

    • amado says:

      likely to watch:
black rock shooter – needs more rockshooterXgoldsaw. seriously, those two scream more to me than pairing her with dead master.
amagami SS+ – well I watched some arcs including the extra 2 girls. romance here is actually good, I just didnt have time for the other girls 🙁
nisemonogatari – finally SHAFT is animating again next season. a sequel of bakemonogatari to boot. its one of their greatest hit, along with madoka magica.
another – you guys convinced me. seems like it will be interesting.

      might check out:
symphgear – *shrug* hoping for yuri and have a feeling on this…
rinne no lagrange – as you said, this one seems to be simple yet it can become better. definitely better than GC at least. potential for yuri too.
papa no lukoto wo kikinasai – dont judge me! anyway, the mom is called yuri so…
milky holmes – maybe if I saw 1st season. even Arudoc says this one was good(or was it jinx?). plus yuri I guess…

anyway, list will change depending on Divine’s preview(if he does make one this year).

      • amado says:

oh and I just realized that most all of the ones I put in the tentative list have the reason of “yuri” as the interest…

and I’ll post tomorrow about the OVAs and specials. maybe.

        • BlackBriar says:

Thanks for the motivation. If there’s any hint of yuri in any of the anime you mentioned, I’m sticking to it. There definitely needs to more yuri shows around. Girls trading spit and the possibility of them shamelessly getting it on is a plus anytime.

      • Foshizzel says:

BRS! Yes they better get to the other damn boss characters..I was bored with deadmaster…she was Zzzzzzz BORING!!

        More SS mmmm yes <3

The might check out list looks good! I want to see Rinne no Lagrange, that series is going to show 12 episodes and then it will take a break and continue in another season.

  16. Tofu says:

WHAT WAS THAT ANAAGA!??! D;< Do I see you HURLING over my precious K-On MOVIE!?!??!! lols oh yeah, great list Metanorn, keep up the good work ;D *totally just changed the sunbject and walks off like nothing happened*

    • Foshizzel says:

Some people can not handle the pure moe overload of K-ON! I want more Yui and Azunyan and yes a bit of Mio! Thanks man just don’t stay away forever Tofu.

      • Tofu says:

ahahaha of course Fosh ^^ I’m just playing around and as if I could ever leave Metanorn behind. This is where it all started for me :3

      • skylion says:

You know Fosh, several years ago, when Firefly first came on, my group of friends were able to divide people into “That that love Firefly and are therefor cool, and decent, and honest, and caring, and just generally all around awesome” and “Those that hate Firefly, and are not cool, and have unkempt hair, and spinach in their teeth, and are keepers of other odious habits, and not at all awesome.”

Same thing with K-On. You need no more a litmus test for people than the Moe Wonderful that is Yui. And Captain Malcolm Reynolds.

  17. Namika says:

The only show I’m actually excited for is Another I think this will be the only show I’ll be following from the winter season, if I will have time for it. I love the art and music is also pretty interesting. We’ll see, we’ll see. Aside from that, Danshi koukousei no nichijou (can you imagine a bolder name? xD) looks really funny and positive. I don’t think this wil be another Kimi to Boku, but nice enough for the laughs. XD

    • Foshizzel says:

Another for the freaking win! Can not wait to see how scary things will actually get..

Danshi looks absolutely hilarious have you seen the preview specials? Those are to die for…like the dress one and the RPG scene. Yeah that will not be another Kimi to Boku! This is like the perv cousin of boku xD

      • Namika says:

no, I haven’t seen any. xDD well, if it’ll be like a pervy cousin, maybe I’ll give it a try :3

  18. Toori-chan says:

To get things summarised, the anime I’m listing for Winter is everything except Senhime (not my style of music), prince of tennis and area no kishi (no fan of sports), high school dxd (too much boobage for the year).

The series I will be looking forward is definitely Black Rock Shooter. Other than that will be Nisemonogatari and Another. FYI I started immediately to marathon Aquarion to prepare for the next season.

    • Foshizzel says:

Enjoy some DxD! I will check it out…

Yeah BRS, Nisemonogatari and Another all look really good, have a fun time with Aquarion! I love the OP and music throughout that series.

  19. Masu says:

i am so excite about berserk: it is possibly the first manga to make me realize my interest in manga and anime weren’t just a passing phase. its basically everything i look for in a manga.

also, why y’all hatin’ on denpa onna? i thought that show was brilliant. :[ but thats just me.

anyways, the site looks so polished now i want to lick it. good work guys. :3

    • Foshizzel says:

I dunno Denpa as a great idea and theme, but ah well things are just failure after the 4th or 5th episode…I want to see the final episode just to see if they close any loose ends.

Ahahaha clean your monitor afterwards 😛

  20. Yippy says:

I read till the end! (Though not every single word, sorry!) Anyway, my picks for Winter are:

1)The Daily Lives of High School Boys- DAT PREVIEW

    2)Another- DAT ART.

    3)Rinne no Lagrange- DAT CGI.

    4)Amagami SS Plus- DA…THEM GIRLS.

5)Inu to Boku SS- DAT STORY

6)Nisemonogatari- DAT BAKEMONOGATARI (which I still have yet to finish)

I might check on Aquarion if I have some time left. Again, thanks for the summaries, comments and the handy chart guys!

    • Foshizzel says:

Highschool boys! BEST PREVIEWS OF ALL TIME! I always laugh so hard..and they are just 5 mins long.

Another- Yes please! PA WORKS good stuff right there.

Lagrange- Good CGI and character designs.

DO IT! Aquarion is good fun xD
