This episode takes a step back pulling from chapters 21 and 22 instead of progressing the story, but I guess that is the thing when dealing with To Love-Ru Darkness they can pretty much pull from whatever they want since a lot of chapters are one shot material. Now for the episode that picks right up after Nana discovered the truth about Mea being a living weapon just like Yami, I always wondered why it took Nana so long to figure that out since Mea and Yami are sisters? You would think Nanan would have figured that out, but of course it was used as a drama point for the episode. So who can bring these two girls together?! Rito of course who simply calms Nana down with a hug since after she went all depressed mode with the fear of Mea not wanting to become friends with her ever again! Yeah that is sad; however the power of FRIENDSHIP saves the day and now the two girls are back to friend mode. That is until the ending of the episode when Mea’s master kinda sorta appeared in the shadows! I am excited for next week because wow if you aren’t reading the manga you are in for a treat! Nemisis is one of the highlights from the manga and I can’t wait to see her.

All the crazy comes out with a full moon, but it’s a shame that Smith didn’t tell Darling-kun that. Instead he has to endure the jealous entreaties of all the girls as they lose their monster minds in pursuit of him for the night. Even worse, the word “marriage” keeps coming up, and nothing could be further from Darling’s mind. At least with Miia and Cerea, they’re insistent that they’re the one who should marry him. And even if Papi says he’s like her ‘onii-chan’, she’s not going to give up on the marriage thing either. Darling thinks he’s got that beat tho, since the Interspecies Exchange Bill gives him the out that he can’t have relations with any of the monster girls. All clear, right? Not so fast: Smith wants to use him as a test case to try to get an amendment to the Bill to allow for the monster girls to marry humans. So now he’s gotta deal with them as possible marriage candidates, which doesn’t go so well to begin with, but eventually he lays down what minimal law he can and says he’ll start dating them with marriage in mind. I think we all know that this won’t go anywhere, but at least they’ve got a shot.

We can see what the trajectory of Bikini Warriors is now after three episodes, as they’ve poked fun at common RPG traits each week. First the obvious “Bikinis as armor”, then the “We saved the kingdom and all we got is this lousy 10 gold”, and this week we get the ever popular “ransaking people’s houses and taking whatever we find because we’re heroes!” Hard up for cash, the girls decide to invoke their right of uncompensated takings, and waltz into people’s houses and just loot their stuff. This is one of those things that RPG players get inured to very quickly, if they ever had qualms about it in the first place. And in the show, the people don’t really seem to mind, continuing to go about their business at home as if nothing’s happening. That is, until the heroes don’t actually hold up their end of the bargain and go do hero stuff. Content to lounge in the pool, they shouldn’t be surprised when an disgruntled group of villagers turns up wondering why they should be supporting a bunch of lazies. Unfortunately, the heroes don’t exactly learn their lesson.

A deserved reward

In these two episodes we get to meet Ui’s nemesis, the fuukiinchou, Rin Musumi. She’s completely not on board with Ui’s “love” platform, and goes around with her lacky Sawatari trying to eradicate all forms of ‘skinship’, which to her includes holding hands. In an effort to show that holding hands isn’t a problem, Ui and Hayato have a little experiment, but given their situation, it kinda goes a little farther than just holding hands. It doesn’t help that they start out with Ui feeling jealous of Hayato holding hands with Rin. And then it goes WAY farther than holding hands, kinda proving Rin’s point.

But that’s nothing compared to what it looks like when Rin and Hayato get caught in the rain together with Ui. While Ui runs along, Rin yanks Hayato into the first convenient place to avoid a her old best friend and an old crush of hers, where she was the third leg of a love triangle, which of course is a love hotel. And they end up in a room together because of course they do. Things get out of hand when she finds something she probably shouldn’t, after changing into a school swimsuit for Cosplay Day, and of course things go awry. But it’s even more awry when Ui finds them walking out of the love hotel together.
