This week introduces us to the next cast member Diane who is a bit different than your average main character because she is a giant! Yeah giants in anime are kind of rare besides the ones I have seen in One Piece, but they do fit perfectly within the fantasy genre quiet well. So what does Diane bring to the party besides the obvious height difference? She also brings tons of fighting power and super strength; however we probably won’t be seeing any of that until the next episode which should be exciting! I think after we see a few more episodes with her she will easily become a fan favorite! At least she is one of my favorite characters from the manga. Besides the introduction of Diane we get more plot on why the seven deadly sins have been hiding because they were framed for the death of the king? I guess that means they have enemies within the kingdom that wanted to get rid of them or is this the work of someone else? Either way that story also ties into Gilthunder’s reasoning for attacking the seven deadly sins to prove that he is indeed the strongest holy knight and he also knows Elizabeth? I guess they sort of grew up together? This week also brings us an epic fight between him and Meliodas? So how was the fight anyway? I thought it was alright for the most part even though it looked like Meliodas was just toying with Gilthunder the entire time who appeared to be going all out against him, but I think that is just how Meliodas fights which fits his personality perfectly as the resident goofball. Speaking of goofy moments how the hell did he manage to get Elizabeth’s panties so fast? I guess he does have some secret magical powers hidden away! I also laughed my ass off watching him trick all of those Elizabeth clones and the last funny moment goes to Diane and Hawk arguing about eating pigs! I can tell those two are going to be doing that side gag for a while.

End thoughts
Well damn that was a fun trip with Meliodas, Elizabeth and Hawk meeting Diane who was one of my favorite characters from the manga! Also she is voiced by Aoi Yuuki so we should expect some moe moments with her and we did get a preview when she grabbed Meliodas and pressed him against her cheek, but what do you think of her? I think by the next episode you will have more time to get to know her character! I can’t wait to see more episodes filled with Diane doing stuff with the team.

I definitely remember the group jump of the fake Elizabeths having pantyshots but here they didn’t. And yet they showed the item itself. So does it mean it’s okay to show it when it’s not worn by Elizabeth? Does not compute.
I don’t like Aoi Yuuki as Diane. But this is me always at the start of every series complaining about the seiyuu choice. I’ll get used to it later on. Even though their voices were muffled in the flashback, I liked the voices of Ban and King already.
And this was one of my initial gripes of the start of the story. Meliodas seems to be holding back quite a lot in a fight. Sure it’s boring if he can one-shot everything else like Jesus Onii-sama but it kind of ruins their reputation as the strongest knights that became quite a legend. They’re also getting underestimated and I don’t like enemies who are so arrogant. It makes for their defeat later on to be satisfying but knowing that Mel isn’t using all his strength sort of dampens that.
Next week should be good with them meeting another Sin which is one of my favorites characters. The full version of the OP is pretty good and I can’t wait for the full ED.

True eventually we will get used to her.
Indeed Meliodas seems to be quite over powered, but at the same time I like that he is not showing off his powers or not.

Another Sins member joins the group. Honestly, I must confess Diane is not exactly what I expected. Given her appearance, I thought she’d have this tough, burly personality but instead, she’s pretty much like any standard girl. As for her size, was she born a giant or is it an after effect of her powers. Well, it’s looking alright for her as she’s already caught my good side.
No! He’s learned the Stripping Drunken Fist technique from Mayo Chiki’s Nakuru which enables the user to strip the target at lightning fast speeds.
Meliodas’ laidback handling of Gilthunder. Doesn’t even look like he’s using a 10th of his power. So imagine the full scale damage if he ever had to go all out.
People! Stop trying to eat Hawk! We don’t need another Pork Bowl tragedy!!!

Nawww from what I gather Diane was always a giant and yeah for the most part she does act really girly indeed, but I think everyone will like her soon.
