Well as I said in the intro, we have the first part, which functions as a extension to most of last week’s episode. A brief reminder of the life that Ilya, Chloe, and Miyu have the strongest wish for. Normality; which is pretty much a blessing in the Fateverse. That is something much on the mind of Iris-Mama-san. You could be suspicious, as everyone from Taiga, Chloe, and Rin and Luvia are as to why she feels the need to spy on her girls, but you can’t blame her knowing that she wants to see them at their most natural, and their fullest. Imagine how it would have been if she arranged a visit? But with the idea of her motherly affection in mind, here’s a question for commenters, “Should she step up and help her kids in a fight?” Don’t forget spoiler tags.

Imagining others complexly

It’s the nature of the verse, I guess. And it’s one of the things I was thinking about when watching Fate/Zero. Why does this Holy Grail exist? The answer is obvious, and I ask it as rhetorical. If these mages want to change the world, and show willing in how they gather all manner of power, what is stopping them from working with each other? Why is there no Noble Phantasm that underlines as I say above, imagining others complexly? Empathy, in a word? Again this is rhetorical, but would be of interesting discussion. Is wishing for a normal existence better than wishing for something grander? Does this tie in to Rin’s discovery about the ley lines; they looked pretty darn frowny.

French the Llama! This was a hard battle to root for. OP curb stomp is OP. We talk about this sort of thing all the time, the early days of Aldnoah.Zero come to mind. How interesting can this sort of battle sequence be when one side is pretty much unstoppable. Does it stack up to your perception of what a cool fight should be? For me, if meh were a 1 and freekin’awesomesouce were an 11, I would score this outing as a 4. 5 if she took at least one lump. But badass Bazett is Badass, and that is the fight we get. And for that it was just mayhem. And all for possession of the Class Cards…which can get tricky when you consider that the Archer card is being all tsundere and pudding these days. The other’s I assume are kept in safety.
As I was looking up information on Bazett I came across a bit of a thing going on in a forum discussion. Is there a mistranslation in the manga from Japanese to English. Cause this feels mixed up. She’s a Church enforcer that works for the Mage’s association, and she shows up and crashed Luvia’s home to take the Cards back for the Association. Did they get the Church part right? If you want to answer, please don’t forget spoilers. I know I’m coming across as uninformed of the greater Fate universe, but really this is the only part of the franchise I care about at the moment, and I’m trying not to dip to far into the others.
Well, in wrapping up we get to go into the universal question we’ve been asking for the past two months. When do we get the beach episode? Seriously! I’ve done some of the adaptation math, and it looks like they could cover 12-13 chapters in eight episodes. With a bit of wiggle room in guessing, they can cover maybe 3 more chapters the next two episodes, which brings us to the end of the show run. Which leaves the beach until another time…and with both Ilya and Chloe discussing swimwear, we’ve got plenty of ammo in Checkov’s gun. And that thing has to be fired third act. And shooting it for an OVA thing that comes way after the main event is a leading me to Giant Squid of Anger territory….

I think that’s a mistranslation. 教会 is Church while 協会 is Association but both are pronounced “kyōkai”.
First of all, she’s a Sealing Designation Enforcer like Rin said. The Church doesn’t give away Sealing Designations but the Mage’s Association does. She also knows Zelretch and his Mystic Codes(Ruby and Sapphire). That should be enough to tell what side she belongs.

It was an episode packed with action and some more focus on Rin and Luvia whom I wanted to see more screen time of. The only sad thing is it’s nearing the end. I was surprised Auguste held himself pretty well against the human tank.

Okay, first half of the episode did not exist in the manga. Solely exists to pad out the episode since this episode is only half a chapter of manga plus the last page of chapter 12. The next half is more awesome since they expanded on the fight in the house before the LOLis arrived. August was being badass. Very. Unfortunately, Bazett Fraga McRemitz is even more GAR.
So the last two episodes are going to be chapters 12-1/2, 13,14,15 AND 16. However, since most of those chapters are ass-kicking badassery, it shouldn’t be a problem. I expect the beach episode to be either bundled on the disc or on the January OVA, which I doubt since it is rumoured to be entirely new material.
Alternatively, the beach episode will get moved to 3rei. It looks like 3rei if they go for it will have a funny count. 13 to fifteen as it still has to finish the last quarter of 2wei.s

Nothing of real interest in the first half of the episode but the second is where it all gets awesome. Iri is kind of ditzy for an invasive parent. I guess it’s because I buy into that more remembering there’s more to her.
Whoa, Bazett is beast singlehandedly causing a ruckus at Luvia’s house. Curb stomp, nothing. This was utter floor waxing. What are the odds she hasn’t broken a sweat and had personal training by Kotomine Kirei? Personally, it has a different and more attention grabbing feel to see an OP girl tearing things up than it is to have a guy do so in place. Catching my attention is that cased weapon carried on her shoulder. She must be working part time for the Lion King Organization. 😉

Like everyone else here, nothing really to say about the first half other then Mama-san wanting to spa on her kids thanks mama-san!
Well like most parnets i’d assume when kids want to do things their own thing without asking for help then let them do as they place as you take a back seat and watch them from afar. But if she should help, hmm I love to see mama-san crush anyone that would harm their kids, and to see her in all her “ass-kicking badassery-ness” would be fine too.
So wow that second half, Totally had a throw down at the Luvia’s house, crazy party, give it up for August /admireclap He did good againts OP Bazett.
The best scene though was seeing Chloe and Illya walk up to the gate, and soon as it opened ..destruction’ Next episode looks great fun! and rider time? awesome, the horse is a little much but ill take it, at least its not a unicorn.. haha. Though i dunno how these 3 will stand a chance vs Bazett, maybe 3 Card hero’s vs her would be enough? well see I guess!
