Secret identities exposed?!
These two are perfect for each other.

One of the strangest things about having a secret identity in anime is the use of a mask to create a different persona much like Lelouch of Code Geass who turns into the badass Zero, but why am I bringing him up? Because I remember there were a few episodes where the main characters tried to figure out his identity much like the members of Zvezda did with White Light this week but what am I getting at with all this? Nothing much other than me thinking that that I would think that the characters would recognize the voice coming from the masked person in question to discover who they really were! I mean sure as anime fans we learn to accept things like that but I still find it funny, then again if the main characters figured out the secret identity of a person based off their voice it would not be as fun or shocking right?
Now to talk about a few moments from the episode that stood out for me like that fight at the start of the episode? I was like damn this fight animation is awesome and thanks to tumblr for the gif cause I can not make them myself, but anyway did anyone else bust out laughing when Renge’s mask fell off revealing that goofy face under it which we learned afterwards was just another mask?! After that moment I was like wait a minute did Renge train with kakashi from Naruto to learn the art of hiding your face? That and I had no idea that the members of White Light have to keep their own identities hidden from each other? I guess that is one way to prevent spies from sneaking into your organization! Also it was a surprise to me that Miki aka White Egret is basically idolized at school, but when she is on the job Miki is secretly Renge’s subordinate? That was kind crazy and I wonder if she will figure it out or will we ever explore that again subject again? Before I wrap up I have to say those beam saber weapons Renge and Miki were swinging around this week were awesome and I have to mention Asuta who is the worst hide and seek player ever! Way to fail and hide in Renge’s locker.

This is such a fun show to watch. It’s so different for me that it makes fun out of its dramatic moments. Most shows have the serious parts and the comedic parts, but this show is always comedic parts, even as it moves whatever plot along. And it pulls off the recklessness well.

AGREED! Zvezda is just fun to watch I love how goofy and silly things get especially with Kate as the leader which makes me feel that Sometimes Kate sees the world as her personal playground to do whatever the hell she wants and it works.

I think my favorite aspect is that the silly parts aren’t even really trying to be silly. They’re just silly due to the setup and the characters. Not forced, not worked. Just Asuta trying to interact with people who are not right, whether it’s Kate, Roboko, Plamya, Natasha, Odin, or Renge.

Renge used a nice feint having two masks. She’s smarter than we give her credit for. Now that’s being prepared. Asuta was right on the money figuring out she was White Robin but got blindsided. But now Renge is beginning to fall for Asuta’s alter ego. Can’t wait to see what happens next. Is it really bad form to flirt with the enemy? 😉
It’s actually a good idea the White Light members concealing their true identities from each other. That method serves as a better way to keep their enemies from using friends and family as leverage which is the first thing to expect when fighting on this kind of scale. Can’t use them if they don’t have any personal knowledge.
