Plague-loli hopes you had a lot of fun watching Mondaiji!

The final episode of Mondaiji has arrived and saying that makes me quite feel sad, but I had a lot of fun creating video reviews for it; however I really wish they went ahead and gave us two or three more episodes? I guess we have to keep our fingers crossed for a second season in the future! Anyway I hope you enjoy the final video review complete with a series wrap up.

About

Is huge anime fan from Florida! who loves to watch anime and also enjoys drawing and collecting pictures, my favorite genre of anime has to be Mecha, there is just something awesome about giant robots beating the crap out of each other! “DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENNN!!”
anyone want to do Deen jokes with me? Anyone?

Oh gosh I love the fairy tale references! Ookami-san was marvelous with all the references XDD

Plague-loli’s name is Black Percher, nicknamed Pest. *had to look up “Black Percher” myself, I knew Pest though*

    • Foshizzel says:

      DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENNNNNNNNNN! FOR THE WIN!

I remember Ookami-san and her AMAAZZZINGG friends, that was a interesting take on fairy tails indeed and I can’t wait to see what they pick in season two…ahhh Pest works well in place of plague-loli! Excellent choice~

      • Muir says:

        YES! DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENN!!
oh gosh, I literraly laughed every time Deen shouted his name XD

        highfive Ookami-san fan!! XD

        • Foshizzel says:

DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN is the best robot thingy ever <3

Ahahah yeah I liked that! The main girl reminded me of a taller version of Taiga from Toradora and the neko boxing gloves? Awesome~

          • Muir says:

Oh yes those kitty knuckles were full of win!! XD
and yeah, totally Taiga’s onee-san haha

I wish it could have gotten a second season, the conflict was only temporary resolved, and the antagonist didn’t SUFFER ENOUGH for me to be satisfied >_> Also it’s really funny, especially that one episode with Toradora and Railgun XD

the narrator was kind of annoying though ._.
            *curse my typos*

            • Foshizzel says:

              Yep!

Season two yeah that would work for me xD

              That narrator = Shiroyasha’s voice actress btw~

            • Muir says:

oAo I didn’t know that. Much better as Shiro =w=

  2. Muir says:

I’d love it if Mondaiji got a season two~ (half because of my hatred of cliffhanger endings, WTFUUU that letter at the end ㅠ_ㅠ how could you do that to me!?!)

I definitely want to see Shiroyasha fight, since they have Buddhism here, they might as well have Shinto. Shiroyasha VS Amaterasu~ or something like that. Actually, Mondaiji has so many references. Buddhism, Greek Mythology, Fairy Tales, Historical events, Holidays, oh gosh so full of win. The more references, the more win ^v^ yiss.

*I accidentally clicked submit comment before I finished writing the second part OTL

    • Foshizzel says:

I know that feel all to well! The cliffhangers are like damn…damn…damn!

Ohhh damn! Shiroyasha vs Amaterasu? That is basically her fighting Sasami-san because we have a Amaterasu story with that series and just based on that I would love to see how kick ass their fight would be! Also yes I want more myths and fairy tales in the future <3

      No problem!

  3. BlackBriar says:

It was an intense action packed ending for Mondaiji. Seeing Izayoi finally going all out was awesome and his fight against Waser was on a DBZ level. The most interesting fight goes to the one between Black Percher and everyone else. She was one tough loli.

Since the characters in Little Garden are the embodiment of mythologies and people who have died and want revenge (As Black Percher defined herself), I wonder when they die, if they stay dead or or will come back to life later on.

The people of Salamandra played a dangerous game deliberately using Shiroyasha to provoke Black Percher’s community. Surely they considered what would’ve happened if the No-names lost the fight. It would’ve been the Black Plague all over again with the town as amplifier.

I’m still bummed that this show only had 10 episodes when it was so good. The end with that letter falling could mean there’s a new member on the way because this deserves a second season. What I do know is that there’s an OVA slated for Summer 2013 (Scroll all the way down to see it). I guess that will have to suffice.

    • Foshizzel says:

I still think Izayoi was holding back some of his power, but who knows maybe he was going all out during his fights? I think it would have been awesome to see Shiroyasha fight instead of Izayoi personally! Then again I am still curious about Mc-Kuns true powers.

Yeah that is true! I would laugh my ass off if plague-loli returned and joined the no names, but that is highly unlikely >.>

Ohhh? A OVA? I bet it will be a beach/fanservice/bath themed episode because my experience with those have always been more about the fanservice xD

      • Nobodysuspicous says:

I’d say look at the images of the light novels…
They are more than enough to tell you what happens to that loli. XD
It’s going to spoil a fair amount though

  4. KLACMAN says:

well give there an ova ep coming up with showing of invite note falling for sky the door could still be open for s2?

yea show give 10eps worth give izayoi is total own’d anything & anyone give hey bunny girl did manage make a draw on izayoi.

    • Foshizzel says:

Yeah that was a hint for another possible season! I NEED IT LIKE NOW!

I wanted more Kurousagi x Izayoi moments T___T

  5. Highway says:

I think the 10 episode format worked well for this show. It helped keep it concise and tight, and they still got the stories told well without obvious rushing or skipping around. If it had been a 12 episode series, the other two would have been a beach / party fanservice episode, and then they’d have to stretch the story to fill the remaining episode. So I don’t think it would have done much good except get more shows on the air. The lead-in to another story was pretty typical of a show that has no set future, and should probably be ignored.

I have no idea how the sales of this show have gone, but it’s had quite a lot of buzz that I’ve seen. And nobody’s talked about it tanking commercially (like Shin Sekai Yori has). It’s a good candidate for another series sometime in the future, I’d say, and my only wish for that is that it keeps the good storytelling going, and not devolve into stupidity like other shows I could mention.

    • Muir says:

I don’t think you can judge whether or not this adaption had to skip scenes or not yet, but there is a translation of the Light Novel kind of in the works, hopefully that works out so we can use that to check~

I personally thought that Asuka just showing up with Deen was pretty anti-climactic, and would have liked to seen their battle against each other o3o

    • BlackBriar says:

There are a few shows that had 12 episodes and was fiercely consistant with the story. It was so fast moving that you didn’t have much time to think about the flaws until after you’ve seen the entire run. Have you gotten a look at High School of the Dead?

      • Highway says:

I watched episode 1 of HSotD, and haven’t really been interested in more.

I don’t know how this was adapted (and honestly, I never know how things are adapted because I don’t read ahead in other materials), but I thought the storytelling had a good rhythm to it and I’m loathe to mess with stuff when it works. It doesn’t take much introduction of other stuff to bring the whole down.

For instance, as Muir asks, would a training montage with Asuka and DEEN! really added much? I don’t think so. It would either have had to be really compressed, or completely interrupt the flow of the fight. Having her just show up and pound Strom was pretty awesome. The only thing that was a bit unrealistic (hah!) was the quick reactions in repelling all the attacks from other directions.

        • Foshizzel says:

HSotD is one of those shows where you have to turn your mind off forever and watch, but of course the constant boobs in your face gets a bit old fast >.>

I wanted to see how Asuka beat DEEEN and won? That would have made for a great episode, but I guess they ran out of room and time for that hahah

  6. skylion says:

Just as Highway says, a smaller number of episodes keeps the storytelling tight, and the narrative concise; that being said, a beach/fanservice episode would have been very much enjoyed! Thou not really needed.

Wow, that guy is one bad ass gambler. Wonder what he knows about Izayoi and company that nobody else does? Probably enough to hedge his bet and keep Izayoi from beating him to a pulp.

The ending seemed rather typical, but I guess they earned that happy ending. I would love to see Halloween in the no-names community. Perhaps that Summer OVA will shed light?

Good work on this one Fosh.

    • Highway says:

I think you’ll get the fanservice episode with that OVA, since that’s a perfect time for it, and this show hasn’t really had any one episode stories.

The happy ending was earned, plus it’s still pretty much a shounen fighting show. There really wasn’t any other way they could go about it. At least there was a bit of a twist in that the fairy couldn’t just make their land prosperous again.

Something that I kind of wonder: How did something apparently as rare as a moon rabbit who is also a game referee get attached to the community that became the no-names? And did she just not allow herself to be used as a prize before? It’s hard to imagine that as much plundering as went on of their community, including losing Leticia, that Kurousagi was still there.

    • Foshizzel says:

Agreed with Highway! Good story telling in Mondaiji without all the boobs and pantsu shots getting in the way of something enjoyable, but I assume the OVA will be a mash up of beach service and bath time fun! Almost every OVA I have seen based off a 12 or 13 episode series tends to be 100% about service shots.

Izayoi for the win! Smart and kicks ass? What a combo!

Halloween themed community works, but I can’t wait for the 7 badass dwarfs and a magic user named snow white that uses ice based power? Can you imagine? I still would like a big bad wolf or a twist on Cinderella even? My mind is going crazy…ya that OVA has me excited xD

Thank you! I was pleased this series was a surprise hit of winter 2013~

  7. Overcooled says:

Gonna miss Kurousagi’s zettai ryouiki…Oh well, it was a fun ride!

    • Foshizzel says:

I had no idea you watched this! Yeah good bye Kurousagi’s legs and good bye Shiroyasha for all the in series perverted jokes! I miss them already T____T and yeah very fun ride for a short series xD

      • Overcooled says:

Haha, I only started when the series was about halfway done, so catching up took a while. It looked like a lot of mindless fun (from what I could see from your posts) so I gave it a shot. :3

        • BlackBriar says:

So, were you satisfied with the series? Just to be curious.

          • Overcooled says:

It was alright. Nothing special really, but I enjoyed it. I liked how all the characters would go off and do their own things and rejoin at will instead of being a happy go-lucky team of FRIENDS WHO MUST NEVER PART.

            • Foshizzel says:

I feel the same on the friendship! I bet the girls could have left and Izayoi would not really care as long as he gets to stay and kick some demon lord ass! Then again if Asuka left I could see You-chan feeling sad? xD

  8. JPNIgor says:

    Noooooooo TT.TT It’s over…

And damn, they killed the Hamelin duo, even though they were so cool D=

And I loved the LOLi owning scene. That was awesome. I did expect some more blood =B

    • Foshizzel says:

I know I know it really is quite sad…

They were really cool for side boss characters and yeah rest in piece plague-loli you were a ton of fun to watch even though you where 100% evil.

    • Muir says:

I didn’t really like Ratten too much, except for her being so dere to Asuka haha, but Weser was definately badass~

loli-DEATH!! Hey, hey I see a pun there. The loli of the Black DEATH, DIED!… er wait. What. I’m so confused. What am I thiking. oh gosh.

      • skylion says:

She wasn’t the avatar of the black death, but the built up resentment of the child victims that wanted revenge on the sun. How on earth do you fit that on a business card?

        • JPNIgor says:

I couldn’t foresee it coming… It was quite surprising.

        • Muir says:

But her powers are of the Black Death you see hoho

how do virus molecules deflect FIRE AND LIGHTING?? The world may never know.

      • JPNIgor says:

Sure, Weser was way more badass… But something on that irritating Ratten made me like her… Maybe it was the way she died… It was… Respectable… I don’t know how I can express it.

  9. sonicsenryaku says:

light novel sales for Mondaiji received a boost from the show so im pretty confident that a second season is being considered; on a side note, I wonder why so many people like Kurousagi; she’s an okay character in my opinion; Asuka and You are far more interesting and i hope to see more of them given that a second season is in the works.

    • Foshizzel says:

I am happy to hear the novel sales are up! That makes me excited because I could really use another season, but I wouldn’t mind checking out the novels if they get translated xD

Bunny girls for the win I guess? I personally loved her voice and personality~

    • Highway says:

It’s because Kurousagi has *style*. Scads and scads of it. And she’s so endearingly excitable, yet she’s not unreachable.

      • skylion says:

..and her legs belong to me…

        • BlackBriar says:

Then what of Shiroyasha, Sandora and Black Percher? However, Leticia is off limits.

          • skylion says:

The legs of the Sun, Dragon, and Plague LOLi’s belong to me as well. Leticia is off limits, to you maybe….

            • BlackBriar says:

The legs of the Sun, Dragon, and Plague LOLi’s belong to me as well. Leticia is off limits, to you maybe but belongs to you, BB.

There you go. I know that’s what you really meant. No apologies needed on the typos.

            • skylion says:

You know, if we get another vampire LOLi next season, this could be fun…

      • BlackBriar says:

I agree that she has style and the outfit makes it even better but I still feel robbed because of the skirt gift Shiroyasha gave her. It’s such a tease. Who here thinks Kurousagi looks better with pink hair than blue hair? I do.
