Something new again, an artist feature.
So, this is something new I wanted to try out here on Metanorn, since I visit a lot of random sites during my days of internet surfing. I wanted to start doing features on random artists from Deviant art and Pixiv, those familiar with these two big websites might enjoy this.
This week I went with an artist named Bachera, whose art work you can find on Pixiv, Safebooru and their Personal site. I noticed Bachera mostly have original character works, few videos, game related artwork and rarely some fan art. I really liked the cool art style! The eyes caught my attention quickly. Well, let’s get to that artwork!
Don’t mess with this girl! When she is eating!
Wolf girl chilling
Moe head crab girl from Half life?
Nagi from Hayate no gotoku!
Random bikini girl.
Cool hoodie looking dude!
I liked the shading here
Another fun black and white style
Reminded me of a pokemon trainer!
A cool Misaka picture here about to shock someone
I don’t remember where I first stumbled on this artist, might have been a random night visiting Pixiv or several random picture sites. However, when I managed to find them I really was captivated by the character designs. Most anime fans don’t really like this style because it almost looks deformed and semi-chibi. Bachera’s style is something that I am trying to aim for with my own drawings, however most artists have to find their own style that fits them. I really liked all of his original characters too, each of them become more creative from picture to picture.
A few favorite works would easily have to be the two black and white pictures, all though the pictures don’t look too detailed, they still look fun and interesting. Another favorite of mine would have to be the Half-Life girl, not sure why but seeing a head-crab turned into an anime character made me laugh. Oh, also, we both have a love for Misaka! Well, she is very popular with Index/Railgun fans based on her character design and simple adorableness.
Anyway, there you have it! A very unique and fun art style from Bachera! I had fun collecting these and hope you enjoyed this small experiment! Let me know what you think about this, want more artist features here? Enjoy.
