What are Dreamy lolis made of?
Great week so far for my favorite non-merry anime; Star driver finally getting back into the story and plot twists. Also reading some manga about football and crazy power moves, thanks to Bass for recommending it. Besides anime, got Blazeblue Continuum Shift, fun little fighting game except my sister found a character that wins all the time! Still fun game to play with the family. Now on to the review!
Plot for this episode follows Merry meeting a little girl named Minato in the park and learning about her dream demon. Naturally Merry has to help out and defeat the evil demon! Also more of Yumeji using his special gift to enter Minatio’s dream world.
Minato so damn cute for this show! And her hat too!
Merry has a Simpsons moment, Mmmmm donuts…
Merry seems to be wandering around town till she spots a strange girl about to eat a donut for snack time and stares as the girl gives her half. She is really addicted to them! I hope she doesn’t turn into Keena with her rice addiction from Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou. Merry then decides to play a game of kick the can with Minato until Yumeji arrives and becomes her chair as she falls on him.
Merry you need help! Well, it does look good…
Yumeji doubles as a lawn chair.
Defeated by a small child! Fail!
After the game, Yumeji uses his odd power and looks into Minato’s dream. He gets a bit of a shock seeing the darkness around her warning of another dream demon attack in her next dream. Minato enters a daydream and shortly after Merry enters along with Yumeji; they defeat the creepy demon inside and Merry tries to enter the other world but is pushed away. Very crazy looking demon chick too! Well, she had some epic faces.

Yumeji-“You’re totally a super hero!” –Merry-“Do not want.”
And before the episode ends we get a sneak peek at one of the girls from the opening, a girl with white hair and wings who gives another demon the business end of her large sword. She looks awesome and has a strange red crystal, wonder what that is for!
Bow before me! You strange bunny ninja turtle? Wtf is that…
BAMF chick! ‘Course, white hair red eyes instant villain. Lol!

Minato thought Merry was a boy.
“Heh, I am not addicted to donuts.”

End thoughts!
This week takes a bit of a slow pace, mostly with Merry kind of being depressed until she meets up with Minato who steals most of the episode with her cuteness. Minato was a fun character even though she is just appears in this one episode; still was a nice addition and voiced by Rina Hidaka aka Last Order from Index and Mizuno from Star Driver. That alone made her win because I love those two characters! Not that Minatio is too amazing, just sort of there.
I also loved the bit with Chizuru and her eyes; they had some large crosses on them, looked really neat with them changing to normal, guess she is possessed? Either way looked really interesting. After Yumeji enters Minato’s dream to help also has me wondering how he can do that?! Maybe he is part demon or some crazy stuff like that. Just because he has the main role, must be a reason for his odd power to predict other people’s dreams.
The whole fight between Merry and the demon; just a slap to defeat the boss? Felt a bit lazy to me. Then again we have been watching another anime that has every boss being punched to end them. I kind of felt bad for Merry; she just wants to return to the dream world to find out more about her past, sadly I don’t think she will meet John Doe again until Yumeji has another cat dream. Most people really want to see him; however, he probably won’t get any screen time for a while.

Next week we’ll be introduced to another one of Yumeji’s classmates, a glasses girl! And we get to meet another dream demon who looks really intense. Loved her eyes in the preview, they look pretty wicked.

Oh yes agreed things are slowly getting there for the fans, just hope they can continue with the pace of things.
