Ikaros, y so moe?
This is one of the shows this season I’m also watching and I have worries at first on this one but it turns out to be really good for the past three weeks (yeah, including that pantsu-riffic episode 2, I enjoyed that a lot). Not sure if this show’s on my top 5 for this season but it sure is on the 6-10 position. It’s entertaining and not disppointing so far, so I guess I’ll pick this up on blogging.
What’s also impressive is that this has got to be the best series AIC ASTA has done. Not expecting anything from them at all but the animation here’s just nice. The art is really awesome. Ikaros is just oh-so-cute in this episode as well with so much cute scenes on her (with a watermelon, and even a humongous fish she caught by flying across the globe at Mach 24).
The characters are awesome. First we have the senpai Eishirou, who takes so much interest on Ikaros, it’s also a bit of a surprise to find out that he’s only living by the riverbank inside a tent. There’s also the cold and twisted student council president Mikako. Sohara, whose karate attacks never get old. Tomoki’s voice still irks me a bit, for he sounds older than how he looks. Last but not the least, we have our mecha-angel Ikaros, who took the task to shop for the food they’ll eat.
This episode much likely continues the light-hearted fun and fanservice from the start, but this time, we’ve been given little hints on how this show would take a more serious turn later about Ikaros. She’s definitely the pivotal part of the story, so I won’t be surprised if things in this show takes a more serious turn soon. But so far, I’m enjoying this show to the fullest. Looking forward to the next one.
