2008’s Dozen: Favorite EDs
Once again, it’s 2008’s finest wrapped up in a dozen! This time, after charting down my favorite OP sequences, I’ll now go for my favorite ED themes this time. It’s quite funny because several songs from my list only come from the same anime (well, you’ll know what it is XD). Rules are the same: as long as they aired this year, it’s still qualified. Movies and children’s shows are not in (duh). Now let’s proceed to the countdown!
12: Hidamari no Gate by the boys of SA ~Special A~ – SA ~Special A~

Ok, before ranting and such, I know that SA had the worst OP of the year, and the ED was lame (yeah) but it’s still catchy, well for me at least XD~. Even though they lacked creativity on picking a popular band and just forced the seiyuus to sing for them, I must say that the outcome is still nice ^_^. And did I mention FUKUJUN SINGING??? KYAAAA~~~!!!

11: Ichi Nuke by Noto Mamiko – Jigoku Shoujo Mitsuganae

I basically love every Jigoku Shoujo ED because of it’s melancholic tunes accompanied by colorful art. I must say that this one is so far, the best ED of Jigoku Shoujo had in my opinion, and probably the saddest too, in terms of lyrics. Plus with Enma Ai winning the first cycle of Anime’s Next Top Model, this needs recognition ^_^.

10: Best Friend by Karutetto – Michiko to Hatchin

I personally like this song. It’s feels so warm just by listening to it and there’s a certain charm to it. Definitely a favorite of mine this year. Michiko to Hatchin and Karutetto earns the tenth spot.

Yes! Vanilla Salt! I’d actually say it’s my #1 or maybe #2 favorite ED that I’ve seen this year, but then I’ve seen some pretty old stuff recently, so I’m not sure it counts :p

Style – deliciously sultry.
Northern Cross – deliciously dynamic.

Macross Frontier pretty much owns this list, doesn’t it? Well Macross used so many songs in their endings (and all of the songs in that show were awesome).

Indeed, Macross Frontier songs are great 🙂
The scene for Diamond Crevasse is epic, but you might want to put spoiler warning because it can ruin the experience for some people who have not seen Macross Frontier yet, but will see it at some point.
Nakajima is not Iijima, but her love recollection was ok 😛
I like Vampire Knight and Shion no Ou songs 🙂
