As for Horned Cape, we know nothing of his motives. That’s better than the typical “Ha Ha….This is my evil plan!” villain, but at this point, it’s not to much to ask to know what he is up to. It would have been a good point of fulfilled anticipation.

The show does rely a bit on passing the idiot ball around, usually in the form of the engine fragments, but also in the fact that noone can identify anyone else. Probably the worst part of the show. I’ve enjoyed the thoughtfulness and the care with which it’s dealt with the individual girls (except I still don’t quite get the Aoi / Subaru divide), so it’s a little annoying that the plot stuff is so ham-handed.
