I’m not going to listen to the podcast, but I have one comment about this episode… The art really was off. The expressions were weird, the motions didn’t feel right.

Maybe Taitanic worked on half of this episode.

Or their budget ran out after the explosion fest of the last arc.

Listen to the ‘cast! I address this very issue.

But, all that aside, you are exactly right. The show has been teetering on a few spots here and there, but this episode was the full totter…

It’s like I say in the ‘cast, they spent all their money on that upcoming vampire show….

*laughs* WIT Studio is keeping itself busy with certain investments lately. Next season’s Seraph of the End (a split cour) is one of them, the other anime name I can’t recall at the moment and they’re preparing the second season of Attack on Titan already planned for next year. With that in mind, it’s no wonder the money is being used elsewhere.

        • JPNIgor says:

Oooh, Wit is doing Seraph of the End. Of that I didn’t know. And they are already preparing for a second season. God, they must be busy.

          • BlackBriar says:

Seraph of the End is getting the same collaboration as Attack on Titan: Animation from WIT Studio and music by Hiroyuki Sawano (Aldnoah.Zero, Kill la Kill). Sawano is even providing the OP and ED along with the OST.

        • BlackBriar says:

Seraph of the End’s Additional Cast, Creator’s Direct Involvement Revealed. Well, this is interesting. Says Seraph’s creator Takaya Kagami is drafting stories not yet in manga, supervises scripts until final episode.

          • skylion says:

I have read the manga, and while I can admire the characterizations and it’s pacing, I cannot say, and no offense to any and all Vampire Lovers, the theme lacks punch for me these days. Well, mostly my fault as I spent way to many night’s LARPING….

But, knowing the creator has a hand in story guidance for the show is well worth discussion. See you in the FI….

Well, that can be overlooked since I’m in a particularly happy mood right now. This news on Seraph just came in a few minutes ago. That’s already very nice.

A little while after midnight last night, an ANN article came along saying Strike the Blood is getting a 2-part OVA at the end of the year. Which is good info to my ears since the LN released its 12th volume last month in Japan. Meaning the odds of another anime season (possibly another two-cour) have gotten a bit stronger. More Strike the Blood is always a good thing!

Last but not least, another article moments ago stating a Summer 2015 release for Symphogear’s third season.

Goodness, this is too much good stuff at once!! 😀

A promotional video to back up your last paragraph.

I liked that the finally called that slacker Ai out. Do the girls all want to be friends? Yeah. But someone being as unthinking as Ai is throughout the story is going to tick the others off. Especially as she is questioning Nozomi’s purpose and ability. No, Nozomi isn’t the strongest person, but I think that she’s been purposeful and helpful to people in their travels, even if it’s to get the other people to realize what they’re doing wrong. Meanwhile, Ai just wants a stone to become a best, even though that’s not how it works (from my understanding).

    • skylion says:

I’m thinking that Ai is rebelling against a first among equals. She is rather loud covering a bit of an inferiority complex. I’m hoping the remaining few episodes bring out her character a bit more…

    • Irenesharda says:

I can kind of get irritated at both Ai and Nozomi’s personalities, because both of them can irk me at times. Ai is the boisterous one who doesn’t think before she acts most of the time. Nozomi is the self-sacrificing one, who sometimes doesn’t consider what that means for the others in her group. I think that both of them with get taught a lesson and mature from this new mega final arc, so that should be interesting to see.

  4. skylion says:

Ah, I have one half of my wanted poster.

  5. BlackBriar says:

This much backlog of posts leads me to one thing on my mind: You guys are busy putting the Spring Anime Catalogue 2015 together.

I figured sooner or later any sour feelings the girls had amongst themselves would surface. Only the later it took, the worse it would get. Ai may have been a “fourth” wheel but she completed the group. I guess that counts for something. She experienced a WTF moment, though. What is an ostrich doing in Japan?

So we know Chiaya and her mom are aliens. Given this is news to her; she’s been on earth since infancy. I’m betting we’ll get more information on that later on. With that on the table, I want to know where the stones come in and what are their origins they’re needed to send Chiaya and her mom back to their home planet.

The part where skylion was talking about the peach boy Momotarou meeting a dog, pheasant and monkey. Think about it. That’s a similar scenario in Momo Kyun Sword. Only that in the series, Momotarou is replaced a by a girl named Momoko.

  6. Irenesharda says:

Well it looks like the girls are in for their last and hardest venture yet.

Firstly, I WAS RIGHT! Chiaya and her mom ARE aliens and they’ve been gathering up the stones to go home I’m guessing. However, for some reason, her mom never told her the truth about what she really is, and she’s also your stereotypical workaholic mother that doesn’t have time for her kid. However, the mother seems to have learned her lesson.

However, we’ve got a good yazkuza group that got pushed out. A group of pirates that seem to know all about Chiaya and her mom and are taking all their stones! And they also seem to have a space ship of some kind at their own hideout! What’s going on?!

Also, our group of 4 has sort of fractured as one splits from the group and the others go on their own, or just get lost. I’m guessing this arc will take the rest of the series, with probably the two girls from the beginning joining in once again later on. Or even better, all the people that they’ve met during their travels, would be awesome!

    • BlackBriar says:

The best bet is to assume the remaining episodes are going to this arc.
