    No Shiro No Life!

  2. BlackBriar says:

Oh man, This went up after I already fell asleep.

Most OP character. Wow, that’s a tough one. Because there’s No Game, No Life’s Sora, SAO’s Kirito (both Yoshitsugu Matsuoka roles), Aldnoah.Zero’s Inaho and Mahouka’s Tatsuya Shiba.

    Awards:
Most terrifying location: The Lightless Realm from M3: The Dark Metal
Tsukkomi King: Kenji Kazama from D-Frag.
The “Team Rocket” Award: The Tower witches of Witch Craft Works.
Best adorable Glutton: Hajime from Hamatora.

Regarding the Hamatora seasons. First one, the antagonist, Moral, tried to bring his twisted version of equality by giving designated people powers which in turn they abuse, leaving those on the receiving end go to him for the same promise. To him, he’s operating both supply and demand. Second season, Hiroshi Kamiya’s character is the antagonist after killing the first one then going rogue to acquire means of wiping out supernatural powers completely to honor his dead brother whom he was forced to kill.

Team Rocket Award: So much Win!

But no. Most adorable glutton is Akame from Akame no Kill…

    • akagami says:

Tatsuya wins hands down for most OP. The others made do with their skills and situation, but Tatsuya could win in any situation.

There was a Japanese poll on the most appealing characters in 2014, and the male responses were:

      Male responses only:
      1 – Asuna from SAO
      2 – Onodera from Nisekoi
      3 – Shinon from SAO
      4 – Yuki from SAO
5 – Maki from Love Live
      6 – Onii-sama from Mahouka
      7 – Chino from Gochiusa
      8 – Kaori from 1-week Friends
      9 – Chitoge from Nisekoi
      10 – Cocoa from Gochiusa

So apparently mage Jesus can make make males gay.

      • akagami says:

Fail editing, I ended the bold with a del… orz

        I really need a preview function…

        • Di Gi Kazune says:

I was beginning to wonder that since you struck out Hot Cocoa and Cappucino who should be rightfully at the top.

          • JPNIgor says:

I was thinking the same thing. Why would this guy scratch Kaori from this list? hahaha

      • Foshizzel says:

Wait how does appealing = gay? LOL

        • BlackBriar says:

Yeah, that one was lost on me.

        • akagami says:

Appealing definition: evoking or attracting interest, desire, curiosity, sympathy, or the like; attractive. (Dictionary.com)

As far as I was aware, straight males don’t find other males attractive and desirable.

          • skylion says:

I have something of a man-crush for David Tennant and Matt Smith…but that the geeky Doctor Who fan in me….

            • akagami says:

Hmm, I had to google who those people were.

Maybe because I haven’t been exposed to it, so it seems odd to me. I don’t know any straight guys who have ever mentioned that they found other guys attractive. Or maybe they do but just never mention it aloud?

    • Di Gi Kazune says:

Sora is not OP. 『 』 is OP. There is a difference.

      • BlackBriar says:

Half of something is still something. 😉

        • JPNIgor says:

And apparently Sora accounts for more than half of what blank currently is known for. Of course, that’s only my opinion.

          • Di Gi Kazune says:

No… Sora is completely useless without the other half. In this case it would be the sum total is definitely greater than its individual part.

            • JPNIgor says:

              Ah… Yeah… There was that episode…

But hey, they were split once and they were still awesome… That accounts for something, right?

    • Foshizzel says:

Hamatora suffered from poor animation imo! The story was kinda weak for me because I absolutely did not care about ANYBODY in that series besides Hajime who did NOTHING for an entire first season and barely did much in the second besides her back-story reveal which ill admit was probably the best part.

Art vs Nice! I know why he did what he did because Art was trying to take the “sins” aka the powers away from everyone to make them equal to normal humans so in a way Hamatora is heavily inspired by the bible and the story of Jesus taking on the sins of the world as payment to free everyone so yes Art = Jesus.

In the end it was a 5/10 anime overall for me because again I didn’t care for any of the characters and for me that is usually the selling point if I can connect to at least 1 or 2 characters lol…

  3. BlackBriar says:

Here’s why skylion nominated Prisma Illya 2wei! for “Best Kiss”. Enjoy!! 😀

  4. Highway says:

I actually came up with something to add:

Best Use of Recently Discovered Analog Visual Effect: Rokujouma no Shinryakusha? OP, using the twin white lines as foreground markers to enhance the 3D effect of the character movement.
