Captain Earth – 10

Captain Earth (2)

Lin lives for the world of speed!

Lin is the best planetary gear! Sorry Moco but she is winning the sexiest female of captain earth award from me, but we also get another damn character introduced at the end which has me curious as to their role in Captain Earth…

——————————————

As you’ll hear, I thought this episode was better than the previous 2 episodes starring newfound Planetary Gear people. Fosh and I talk about Lin, Daichi and Teppei getting involved.

Fk Ya Extra Mecha!

So she won what five thousand US dollars?! DAMN!

Captain Earth (3)

That short hair won me over.

Captain Earth (4)

Forget the weak Earth Engine! Teppei’s machine was awesome!

Captain Earth (5)

Pink Squirrel-“Yes kill all the things!”                 Setsuna-“Sure thing master!”

    The need for speed!

Beach/pool episode next week, yay I think

Lin has awesome design, but damn, that got blown away by the promise of a swimsuit Akari. If she wears a damn one piece, I will be pissed as hell. Make the bikini happen Magical Girl.

Planetary Gear of the week is Planetary Gear of the Weak. At this point they are just checking off the first cour boxes to deliver in the second cour. This ain’t a bad thing, but think about this.

First cour= Presidential campaign. It’s said that the campaign is how the official administration is run. Second Cour= Admin. C’mon. Give me something with meat!

Lin does have a great design and next week we get Akari and Setsuna in swimsuits while the boys play secret agent! Yeah agreed magical bikini girl.

At least Lin got her Kiltgang summoned right? So its win a win in my book~

SOOOOOOOOOON! I think were just stuck in character introduction for all the planetary gears is all but I have faith we will get rewarded for staying with the series all this time.

It’s getting hot in here!! I didn’t think the show would produce a girl sexier than Moco. That prior thought may be proven wrong and it’s a tomboy, no less. For now, I’m saying they’re equals. Lin has a nice slender figure but Moco’ body’s too erotic… With or without her scantily clad clothing.

Speed is Lin’s affinity but as a Kill-T-Gang, that’s all she has. There’s a severe lack of strength on her side and that was her downfall. Being able to personally tear apart Teppei’s machine would’ve proved beneficial for her.

Daichi was impressive during his chat with Lin. It didn’t take a lot of hints but he immediately figured out she’s a new Planetary Gear. Other protagonists wouldn’t get the message until their enemy got too close to them.

Nebula Engine is beginning to make the Earth Engine look bad. At least Teppei is reducing his angst stats starting with his victory over Lin/Lieban.

See, I actually didn’t like Daichi’s talk with Lin at all. Maybe it was just Lin’s cliche lines, but it just all seemed very stiff and cardboard-ish to me.

Or maybe it’s Daichi, I haven’t really be fond of him lately either.

    • Foshizzel says:

I do favor the tomboy characters a lot more than the Moco types that only exist cause of boobs.

Teppei’s new machine for the win! That dark blue looks awesome <3

Daichi is deep for a kid his age and it helped that Hana warned him that a planetary gear was going to attack him anyway.

Maybe Teppei finally figured out his role in the team? I am happy he is doing something even if its just defending earth it still counts as something.

Maybe it’s because I’m a girl, maybe it’a because I’m plumb tired of the Planetary Gears, but Lin was only just okay to me. I can’t even really remember their names and only by hair colors. 😛

If I was to put them in order of which one I liked the most, and which the least it would probably be: Royal Blue, Light Blue, Red, Blond, and then Pink. From what I heard, this new Setsuna girl is supposed to be another Gear, but depending on her character, I’m not yet sure about where she’s going to fit in the heirarchy.

Still not impressed by anything, and though Teppei actually got to do something this episode, it really feels too little too late. I don’t think anything short of him turning evil and betraying the group will get me to like that gloomy stick in the mud again. 🙁 The again, except for Akari and her parents, I could take or leave any of the other characters.

Two more episodes before the break, will Captain Earth be able to turn it around?

    • thorgriim says:

Haha, me and fosh do the same thing, using hair colors instead of names. and BTW Orange hair girl > all for me so far.

This series as a preview looked awesome, first few episode “ok this is cool” to now.. it been alright, could have been better to my slandered but it is what it is.

This episode wasn’t too bad, finally someone beat Daichi, and broke though only to be stopped by Teppei, which I guess was cool to see him do the “Voltron” build up this time.

As for Lin, she’s cool, right away i told fosh “oh look its an older Eureka (Eureka 7) very close, and well bones.

    • Foshizzel says:

Well thankfully we have Setsuna who is already somewhat introduced which leaves one more guy to find and who knows maybe we will wrap up the planetary gear of the week next time? I think were stuck in that mode of character introductions and afterwards maybe the plot will roll in by episode thirteen? I still have faith xD

Yeah Setsuna was mentioned at the start of the series and I think Moco and Amarock have been using her machine goodfellow for a while now.

Same Teppei finally did something and looked to be happy figuring out his role on the team at last, but I suspect we haven’t seen the last of emo Teppei…

I think it will turn around! Like I said we just have to get past these planetary gear introductions and focus on the real plot and stuff soon.

      • Irenesharda says:

Well, I’ll just say this, episode 11, is probably the best episode of Cap. Earth I’ve seen in awhile. The intrigue here is some of the best stuff this show has going for it. If they would just utilize it, this show would be awesome. And this latest episode looks to be a step in the right direction.

For the first time, I actually watched the whole thing, and didn’t feel them need to skim. And that ending…well, I didn’t expect that.

  5. Highway says:

Lin didn’t do much for me at all. I did like Teppei getting into the action, he needed something to pick up his spirits.

I wonder what the role of that researcher is going to be. Seems like the show’s not done with her, and she knew about the Design Children.

    • Foshizzel says:

Not a fan of the tomboy character type? That is fine that doesn’t work for everyone and yes finally Teppei is fighting again~

Same Dr. Mao has some connections to the designer children and I wouldn’t be surprised if Robin turns out to be yet another faction that wants to exploit the planetary gears or work with them.

    • Irenesharda says:

Finding out about that psychologist girl was one of the few things that’s kept me watching. She seems pretty shifty, and I’m hoping it leads to something interesting happening.
