About

Is huge anime fan from Florida! who loves to watch anime and also enjoys drawing and collecting pictures, my favorite genre of anime has to be Mecha, there is just something awesome about giant robots beating the crap out of each other! Other than that type of show, I love a good comedy or action series :D

Color me disappoint. This was just such troperific soap opera garbage. It was the most low hanging fruit of re-introduction. The animation quality was just so painful to watch. It was so matter of fact.

I dearly love Origami, but they’ve just shot her down so hard in this one. They shot all of em down.

I hope they do much better in episodes to follow.

Best Girl is Tied: Kotori and Yoshino.

No Kurumi love? That’s blasphemy on all levels!!

    • belatkuro says:

Anime original episode, that’s why. Well, half of it was.

And why am I not surprised by your best girl choices?

      • Di Gi Kazune says:

Kirino is #1! err. I meant Kotori. I believe the wincest here is perfectly legal and blood related. :3

Kurumi is interesting once you understand what she is doing. And when she dresses up in catears and paws… -nyo. Nyo. -NYO.

UNFORTUNATELY, going by the LNs… it seems that Tokha is will be the main ship. I just find her character to be bland and docile. Not enough yan.

      • BlackBriar says:

Out of curiosity, which parts weren’t anime original?

        • belatkuro says:

Anything involving Tohka in this episode was anime original, hence its piss-poor quality.
Shidou talking to Origami in the bathroom(including the panty strip), and Kurumi’s part were in the novels. Kurumi was actually talking to somebody rather than doing a monologue by herself. She was talking to the entity that Shidou remembered in the last episode of season 1, the one that gave Kotori her Spirit powers. This part was suppose to be last season but they managed to include it here.

That much I already figured out but for some reason in my mind, given the way she was facing along with the angle of the camera, it was as if she was talking to the viewers themselves. Quite a crazy notion, though. 🙂

      • Di Gi Kazune says:

Because we know he is a pettankon? :3

It’s a shame you guys are all wrong about who the best girl is. It’s obviously Tohka… as long as they don’t keep her this jealous shrew. But then everyone came off badly in this episode.

    • Foshizzel says:

Near the middle of the first season I will say that Tohka was starting to grow on me, but oh my god with this first episode it almost feels as if she got dumber and I am with you I really hope she gets rid of that jealous attitude!

Yeah that is 100% true that all the characters came off as bad in this…

    • Di Gi Kazune says:

      K-O-T-O-R-I-!

or at least Kurumi. We of the KKKlan demand more of them!

Unfortunately, it looks like Kotori’s arc has been closed and filed in the archives from the first season.

    • d-LaN says:

Well, at least I think most of us (not sure abt skylion) can all agree the Natsumi (if the anime ever gets an S3) will never be best girl material because reasons.

  3. BlackBriar says:

Did season one really start airing last Spring? Wow, how time flies on us.

Not the kind of startup episode I was hoping for. It could’ve been better. Well, after this, though Tohka is really naïve to buy into it to that extent, I can say with certainty that all soap operas are evil. They instill unnecessary tension and ruin a guy’s relationship with his girl. I have to admit, that was awfully relevant to what was going on.

My beautiful yandere murderess Kurumi is back!! Oh, how I missed her voice. Hands down the best girl (with Tohka as a close second) and she’s still hungry. Never mess with a girl who has an unusual appetite.

Next time we get twin Spirits in bondage suits. Oddly enough, they look like those Mercury twins from Seikon no Qwaser.

    • Foshizzel says:

I know right? Time is flying by fast!

Yeah I feel your pain BB it should have been much better! Ah well at least we got a second season right? That soap opera would have caused Tohka to blow up the planet! That was dumb to have her fall for that gimmick which made her look really stupid.

      Kurumi <3

I can't wait to see and hear the twins next week!

  4. d-LaN says:

Personally, while I feel the forced drama with Tohka is well, forced but on the overall I don’t think the filler episode is “IS2/Railgun S level bad” (forum users words, not mine). Its a so-so filler, but its not like I hated every second of it. Just that the jealous Tohka thing got dragged out too long. At least I still get to see Tohka Astral dress and her throne sword again. (Seriously, her Astral Dress design is one of the best)

The QUALITY though….. This makes the recent Neptunia OVA character design looks better adapted. Maybe its just because of the filler episode getting less budget? Because the scenes shown in the PVs looks decent.

Also if anyone is curious here the trailer for the spin-off game Arusu Install which takes place bet Volume 7 (end of DAL II) & 8. The new character Arusu Maria is voiced by Suzuko Mimori (Myucel frm Outbreak Company).

    • Foshizzel says:

Yeah the mess with Tohka was dumb I have no idea why they feel the need to remind us that she is not that bright! Seriously one misunderstanding was enough but two in the same episode? Yeah no thanks.

Yeah I assumed the low quality is due to budget but that is strange because normally the first episode of a new season has tons of budget…

The nun looking character? I have no idea I don’t play the games xD

      • d-LaN says:

Lol I don’t think nun look like that. Not in a metallic white dress XD

Maria Arusu is an irregular artificial Spirit created in the dating simulation/training game created by Fraxinus. Shidou and co is stuck in the cyber world until she learns what love is and they do so by dating.
