They were gdgd fairies and Haibane Renmei which didn’t look all that appealing and I heard lots of praise for Zetubou from bloggers and of course Lvlln.

Aaaaaah Zetsubou-sensei <3 I watched first four episode(ish) and loved it to bits and pieces. But I haven't touched it ever since. O_O
The beginning of the first episode just had to be one of the most epic things I've seen. 😀 I swear, I was crawling under the table because of unstoppable laughter 😀

Nope. No sarcasm. It goes from reference humor that is the basis of the first season, to much more character based humor while deconstruction of norms is pretty much subject to all manner of insanity.
