FULL BRACKET HERE!

I don’t have the time on my hands to go through each round at the moment (and remember to use animesaimoe.org for all the information on matches and whatnot!), so what I WILL do is go ahead and predict who I believe will be the winners of each Group. The group winners won’t actually be revealed for another 3 rounds, but what the hell! Also, I’d love you hear your predictions in the comments!~

Group A: I see this round ending in a deciding match between either Koromo and Kobato, or Koromo and Saki (depending on how much of a threat the Saki supporters pose). I’d go ahead and predict that in the end Koromo will be the winner of Group A. On an off chance, probably Kobato.

Group B: Despite the lack of Saki, this group looks like it’ll be one of the more intense on both sides. I’m predicting Toki vs. Iori on one side and Akari vs. Mei on the other. As much as I want to say Toki will take it all, I’m going to give this one to Akari. There’s also the possibility of Mei continuing her dark horse run, after all she did rack up one of the higher totals. (Still, it’s not much compared to Toki.)

Group C: One of the weaker groups imo, but that makes it all the more fun! Right now I’m seeing either Shizuno vs. Yayoi or Astarotte. Either way, I think Shizuno will take this group.

Group D: CHIHAYA! CHIHAYA! CHIHAYA! *cough* Okay, so this is one of couple groups with little Saki threat. Anyway, I’m predicting an Asami Imai win here, either Chihaya or Kurisu, whichever wins the inevitable match. Nagi, however, might prove a threat. Oh right, I have to pick one … uh, Kurisu.

Group E: With 639 votes in her first match, I have to give this group to Saki’s Yuu.

Group F: So this is the group I’m most looking forward to in Round 2. There are a lot of popular Saki girls, but there’s also some other tough competitors thrown in like Eru, Riirichiyo, Nyariko, and to a lesser extent Haruka. It’s definitely be an exciting four matches. For the entire group I predict … Eru to win.

Group G: Saki will most likely tear through this group with little trouble. With that said, as much as I want Momo to win, I’ll say Nodoka. She seems to be one of the more popular Saki girls.

Group H: NO SAKI!? WHAT IS THIS!? Definitely the weakest bracket imo, but still some fun matches to be had. OH HOW I WOULD LOVE TO SEE NANO WIN!~ But I’ll have to give this one to Shana, though Sena will probably be tough competition.

Since I combined four groups worth of results there have been MANY changes to the MetaMoe banners, which you can take a look at below. As of now nobody has been knocked out of the competition, though a few people are on the verge of being eliminated and once Round 2 starts people will start dropping very quickly because of the nature of the game. By the end of the next round there will only be 32 girls left of the 97 still in the running. As you can see, lots of tougher rounds to come!~

  • Foshizzle is currently the only person with all of his picks still in the running.
  • Highway and Karakuri currently have the most amount of eliminated picks, at four. (gogo Tsukihi and Ai~)

  1. akagami says:

    Hina was eliminated?!?!?!?!?!?!

    (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

    • Hawthorne says:

Hina did make it through to the next round! It was the other Papakiki girls who didn’t.

      • akagami says:

        I meant Hinagiku =/

      • akagami says:

Though Hina-chan is really cute. I just like Miu more.

        • Foshizzel says:

I wanted to hit Hina-chan with a truck does that make me evil? Wuhahahhahahahhaahahhah

          • akagami says:

The Seiyuu’s VA work was just cringe-inducing, I have to agree. Hina’s character was pretty moe, but the VA was just a huge negative. I cringed less as the series went on, but it was still somewhat painful to listen to.

        • akagami says:

On a different note, I just noticed that my email has two avatar pics o.O

Same email, except when I capitalize the first letter of my email it gives the correct pic. The other one is an older avatar.

  2. Highway says:

Next time I’ll figure out before I make picks that people who qualify in the first round stand a better chance than people who qualify in the second round. 🙂

But I’d probably still make the same picks. I went with the people I like, and I barely know any of the people who won (well, not barely, but it’s more like 70% of the people who won I don’t know).

    • Hawthorne says:

Honestly, I think you had the curse of bad seeding! Even so, Saki almost won her match and Asia didn’t do too bad either. ´▽`

As for not knowing a lot of the characters, part of my hopes covering Saimoe on Metanorn was that it might pique some interest in new shows for some people. (I personally have a couple new shows on my backlog thanks to Saimoe 2012!)

  3. BlackBriar says:

I knew my banner would eventually get nicked but twice in one shot? Ouch!! It was a 50/50 possibility for Yuuko Kanoe but I thought Eucliwood Hellscythe had a stronger fanbase. It was nothing short of surprising that she was eliminated this quickly.

    • Hawthorne says:

Judging from her performance in ISML, Eucliwood seems much more popular among the international fanbase compared to a mostly Japanese one. To be fair, she was up against some tough competition in her match though!

  4. Karakuri says:

Ahahaha Tsukihi just baaaaaaaaarely made it xD

  5. D-LaN says:

OMG my three of my servants girls just got eliminated!?? That was…. fast.

Woah Fosh had some good taste/premonition!!

This and the fact tht I just found out I failed three of my subject…… Creepy coincidence.

  6. Kyokai says:

Goddamn, blame it on Fosh to predict winners. I feel so bad with Chihaya and Iri. ><

  7. Gecko says:

Wow, despite picking girls at almost random (except Karuta), I’m doing okay. Only 2 out. So surprised I haven’t been eliminated all the way yet…
