Shiki Original Soundtrack

Yes, it’s here~ Been here for long too. Releasing time for Original Soundtrack of Shiki!

You have already seen me fangirl Shiki over at Sekijitsu, while Overcooled has done the same on Metanorn. We even joined forces for the first Shiki special; don’t worry we’ll do the same for the last one. Coming to the music of this anime, a very high point in making this a total success. In general horror anime are hard to execute because first the animation already makes the whole thing look fake so actually getting scared of the shadows and some scary looking faces seem far fetched. However, when executed well with the whole package of everything right: animation, character design, colour and light balance, amazingly suiting BGM and finally the thrill factor (how did you not get the heebiejeebies seeing Megumi crawl out of under Tohru’s bed?!).

If you haven’t seen this anime, you are missing out big time, ladies and gentlemen. I’m still waiting on the last special but this was a great journey and the soundtracks just made it golden. Remember all the good times that you had with this amazing anime. Enjoy~

Waiting for that last episode in 1080p before I finish this show. But I remember the soundtrack being awesome.

That special needs to release sooner; though the soundtrack is pure golden.

Boy, do I miss this horror show. The story, the characters and the madness. I’m also waiting on that last episode. And the soundtrack made everything a lot better. Wow, I didn’t notice there were 27 tracks. Awesome.

    • Kyokai says:

Same here man! I need more of this and studios should dabble more into this genre. If they are bent on it, some really amazing stories are told like Shiki.

This OST made me so nostalgic and now I can’t wait for the last special!

  3. Overcooled says:

Listening to this soundtrack causes me so much emotional pain, but it’s worth it for the music. Oh is it ever worth it. Can’t wait to tag team that last special, Kyokai-sama XD We’ll go out with a bang.

Quite an emotional ride this has been. You definitely feel bad for shikis…

    • BlackBriar says:

You’re one of many who felt sorry for the Shiki. It was tragic.
