Gekijoban Kara no Kyoukai Ongakushuu OST

Kyo-Special One: The Garden of Sinners – Gekijoban Kara no Kyoukai Ongakushuu Original Soundtrack by Yuki Kajiura

Kyaaaaaaaa~ You think Kyokai just went crazy? Well… I’m sorry, Kara no Kyoukai just makes me fangirl like that… repeatedly…. Don’t expect to open my heart about Kara no Kyoukai right now because there would be a time for that. *knowing smile* This is my first special post of the three I promised on my anniversary post.

Anybody who knows me even a little bit know that I’m a big KnK fan and everything associated with it, Yuki Kajiura and Kalafina come under that bracket. You have to appreciate the fact that Kalafina band was formed by Yuki Kajiura to mainly perform the theme songs of the Kara no Kyoukai movies. I have all the OSTs of Kara no Kyoukai with me and they are masterpieces, including the tracks that Kalafina performed. For more information on Yuki, you can check out last month’s featured Composer at Anime Instrumentality.

Coming to this release, it’s more of a medley of songs from each chapter of Kara no Kyoukai, a light novel written by Kinoko Nasu, which were adapted into the movies you all have come to know. Among these eighteen tracks, several of them are over 10 minutes with a playing time of 2 hours and 15 minutes. So, you are definitely settled for some time hearing this. Being a long time fan of the franchise, I feel quite satisfied with the medley arrangement and how it gives a new light to the already released chapters (movies).

This comes as a surprise because I thought the original soundtracks of each movies were enough, but you can say these tracks have that ‘delight’ effect of added satisfaction. Not to mention that cover illustration of a serene Shiki is just so calming! I hope you enjoy this collection of beautiful composition from one of my favourite composers. ^^

KnK forever! Thank you for this botachin (you know what I mean, the unexpected surprise)! Yuki Kajiura’s work is unique, and Kalafina goes so well with her works, not just KnK, like Kuroshitsjui, Mahou Shoujo Madoka…I could list others but I’d rather listen to the blissful sound of Kajiura’s music 🙂

    • Kyokai says:

You are welcome, Reaper. Always ready with some KnK loot~ Kajiura is brilliant and I definitely got to know her through KnK. I can’t wait for Mahou Shoujo OST – HAS TO BE Released!

I watched KnK recently and it’s amazing!!! Honestly, I only started to watch it because I love Kalafina’s ED ‘Magia’ and when I googled Kalafina, I came across KnK. I’m kind of sad that I can’t buy the Bluray version of KnK because it’s sold out. *sigh*

    • Kyokai says:

KnK is just excellent! Imagine, Kalafina was made for KnK. :3 If it’s sold out, could mean another stock coming out? More people need to see this excellent piece of art.

  3. MikADo says:

Perfect! Do I need to say anything else? no I dont think so :3

  4. I’m just waiting for my actual copy to roll in. This, along with KamiNomi’s soundtrack, is what I’ll be looking forwards to for March’s soundtrack releases. Now to wait on Madoka’s soundtrack… so far, no announcement yet!

    • Kyokai says:

I am looking forward to KamiNomi OST as well and can only hope that we get a Madoka OST as well. It would be a total disappointment if it doesn’t get announced. D:

  5. […] to be my first one but as it seems my third post will be a bit… ahem, delayed… I upped the KnK Medley OST release to leave a Drrr! impact before the day becomes old and dies to give place to another. This […]

Speaking of KnK, any chance of a future review of the Epilogue? Just wondering what your thoughts were after watching it :). It wasn’t Mirai Fukuin Show ▼

but I still enjoyed it 🙂

    • Kyokai says:

It’s coming! Depend on it! :3 They will be a bit late though as in May, but they are already cooking on the burner. I can’t wait to share my obsession about KnK here. Epilogue was simply epic with void baring most of it about Akasha. I should stop here though. :3

      Show ▼

      • Reaper says:

I shall wait with patience, unless Shiki’s Mystic Eyes turn onto me for being impatient with Kyokai 🙂

        • Kyokai says:

Lol, hopefully, she won’t. Just keeping some stuff in the back burner for back-to-back KnK love. ^^

  7. RavenLlya says:
