2009 Year-Ender – Male Seiyuu
Part 3: Male Voice Actors/Seiyuu
Before we go on with the character awardees, we should get behind them first with the real people a.k.a. the voice actors/seiyuus our favorite character has. First up are the male seiyuus! Probably half of the list are really getting real spotlight this year and it showcased more of their talent. Ok, ok, I’m biased to the hotness factor too (both in the characters they take on and in overall appearance xDD). Some are guys I would love to hear more of on the upcoming year. So yeah~ You can vote below and don’t forget to comment which you voted and why, ok? Here we go with the list ^.^
1. Daisuke Ono

Obviously, OnoD leads the list of notable male seiyuus this year. He’s putting up GAR and awesome performances all year round on different roles, Itsuki Koizumi on Haruhi 2009 particularly, who really had much screentime now. He’s also freakin’ awesome as Battler too.
2. Yuuichi Nakamura

FAIRY TAIL as Gray Fullbuster
Kimi ni Todoke as Ryuu Sanada
Shangri-La as Retto Imaki
Shugo Chara!! as Ikuto Tsukiyomi
Here’s a smexy neko-Yuuichi Nakamura for you~ ^^. Pffffft~ xDDD. Anyway, really awesome year for him again. He keeps on voicing those characters that always end up being my favorites. lol. Looking forward to him this winter on Dance in the Vampire Bund as Akira Kaburagi Regendorf, and Durarara!! as Kyohei Kadota.
3. Ryohei Kimura
Notable roles this year:
Eden of the East as Akira Takizawa
Cencoroll as Shu
The guy who shoot “Bang!” as the Air King a.k.a Akira Takizawa deserves a spot in the year-ender for his splendid performance on Eden of the East. Looking forward to hear more from him next year ^^.
4. Hiroshi Kamiya
Notable roles this year:
Bakemonogatari as Koyomi Araragi
Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei Series as Itoshiki Nozomu
Zoku Natsume Yuujinchou as Takashi Natsume
Gawd he has such a really smexy voice~ <333 Not to mention he’s really good at narrating and on comedy as well. Catch more of him this winter season on Durarara!! as Izaya Orihara and more of the remaining Bakemonogatari episodes.
5. Miyu Irino
Notable roles this year:
Asura Cryin’ Series as Tomoharu Natsume
Birdy: the Mighty Decode as Tsutomu Senkawa
Hatsukoi Limited as Mamoru Zaitsu
Phantom ~Requiem for the Phantom~ as Zwei/Reiji
Tatakau Shisho -The Book of Bantorra- as Colio
Tsubasa: Shunraiki as Syaoran
Fufufu~ *melts at the Miyu Megane pic*. Seriously, if you know Tsubasa, it’s MANDATORY to know him. Miyu Irino <33333 And I’m so glad he’s getting so much roles in this year ^^. Good for his career.
6. Tomoaki Maeno

Nyankoi as Kouta Kawamura
Sora no Manimani as Saku Ooyagi
White Album Series as Touya Fuji
I love how he voices tsun-type of guys in anime like Fujimoto and Saku. He already got on my radar since last year, after putting up a very entertaining role on Library Wars as Doujou. Anyway, I’m looking forward for more sexy beast-ness this guy would take on more <33
7. Jun Fukuyama

Really nice year for him. Code Geass R2 was over on the previous year (but it seems like we’re getting more of that, ne? xD) but that won’t stop FukuJun’s hawtness this year ‘cuz he reenacted it as Maximillian on Valkyria xDD; And oh, I love his take on Gauche and Vincent too ^^.
8. Tomokazu Sugita

Gintama as Gintoki Sakata
Haruhi Suzumiya 2009 as Kyon
Miracle Train as Saki Tocho
Umineko as Ronove
MUST. STOP. POSTING. MEGANE. PICS. NAO. Yeah, this post is looking like some dirty excuse to put up seiyuu megane pics xD -shot- Ok anyway, Not really that big of a year for Sugita Tomokazu, but it’s still great for him getting projects here and there with continuing series Gintama and Haruhi 2.
9. Daisuke Namikawa

Hetalia Axis Powers as N. Italy and S. Italy
Kimi ni Todoke as Shouta Kazehaya
Kobato. as Ginsei
Tsubasa: Shunraiki as Fay
Who’s responsible for voicing man-moe characters such as the Italy twins on Hetalia, Mikage, Fay, and Kazehaya-kun? This guy is to blame. Nmkw (yeah, calling him that ‘cuz I’m lazy~) has such a very boy-next-door and adorably cute voice I love hearing, plus he can also take on srs and dark roles too~ Great year for him overall~
10. Tetsuya Kakihara
Notable roles this year:
FAIRY TAIL as Natsu Dragneel
Cross Game as Mizuki Asami
He’s the one who made the infamous “It’s a Sony!” last year on Kannagi. He also voiced Simon from Gurren Lagann. He’s one really attractive seiyuu to boot too~ So yeah, putting him on my radar ^^.
11. Souchiro Hoshi
Notable roles this year:
Higurashi Series as Keiichi Maebara
Sengoku BASARA as Sanada Yukimura
Sora no Otoshimono as Tomoki Sakurai
Another seiyuu rising up is Souchiro Hoshi (super adorable name btw~ “Star” <33). I was thinking whether him or Kazuya Nakai to put into the list. Both are starring from Sengoku BASARA with Masamune (known for the “R U READY GUYZ??” thing) being voiced by the latter. It seems like Souchiro Hoshi is rising more this year though, and I’m looking forward to his next roles.
12. Norio Wakamoto

Seriously, there were so many good seiyuus this year that you can’t choose just one!!! Daisuke Ono is pure win with Battler and Koizumi-kun, Yuuichi Nakamura is just IKUTOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO (NO MORE WORDS NEEDED HERE!!!), Jun Fukuyama as Vincent Nightray is LOVE, Tomokazu Sugita firstly as Kyooooooon and then as Ronove, and, last but not least, Daisuke Namikawa for Mikage+Kaze-kun (Kazehaya, I mean)+Ginsei+FAAAAAAAYYYYYYY!!!

Shiiiiiiiiiiiiit! A day after and just now I realised I was right from the very beginning!!! I messed up and forgot about 2 seiyuu (YES, MOM, IT’S YOUR FAULT!!!)… Thanks to the family circumstances I’m in AND my absent-minded personality a day had to pass before I noticed I was already out of votes and forgot… Whatever! They’re the top five male seiyuus I loved so much this year~ ^__^. Ono D is a powerhouse, You-nyan had fairly entertaining roles, Kamiyan is just talented, Miyu is so cute (yep~ that megane pic helped a lot on my decision xD), and Namikawa of course 😉
Sad that Mamoru Miyano isn’t much as on the spotlight this year but I hope he makes a fabulous comeback next year <3
