Twilight Manwha…

The North American publisher Yen Press will release a manhwa adaptation of Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight teenage vampire novel series by Korean artist Young Kim. The Entertainment Weekly magazine reports that “Meyer herself is deeply immersed in the project, reviewing every panel.” More details and illustrations will be published in the magazine’s next issue on Friday, although the publication date of the manhwa itself is still to be determined.

*insert facepalm here*

I’m practically not surprised anymore by this announcement of a Twilight adaptation for a manga, or a manwha perhaps (being done by a Korean artist).

*Le sigh*… But hey, Yen Press for sure will make lots of money outta this. Edward looks a little bit more closer than what he is described in the novel. Other than that, I’m not going to say anything more XD. I’ll leave it up to you. What do you think about Twilight getting a manga/manwha now?

I used to like Twilight when it was just a book cuz of the vampires bit now its just a bunch of bulls***. I agree that Edward does look better here than in the movie -_- I probably wont read the manga anyways…

I think I might have to read it for what I hope will be epically failzy lulz. Then go cry myself to sleep. I have no faith in humanity now. Thanks Twatlight~! You just made my worst nightmares come true~ :thumb:

I don’t really know why they chose this artist when the Japanese versions of the Twilight novels already have manga-ish images in them: http://twilight.lost-star.org/manga.php I’d buy a manga version like that.

Not surprised, but I still never wanted it to happen.

In true nerd fashion…I can say Stephenie Meyer should go take a class on grammar. SENTENCES ARE NOT ALLOWED TO END IN PREPOSITIONS!!!!! 😡

In a slightly less nerdy fashion — I still can’t bear to read that stuff. Sure, I still read some kids books when I want some light reading (Artemis Fowl, Harry Potter) — but the thing is, those two are actually interesting. They don’t goof off with the ~OH THEY’RE SO MEANT FOR EACH OTHER~ scenes and they sure as hell don’t play on the pretty-boy trend quite as much.

VAMPIRES DON’T FREAKING SPARKLE. I DON’T CARE WHAT KINDA CONVOLUTED EXPLANATION MEYER CAME UP WITH. THEY. JUST. DON’T. SPARKLE. GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!! :rage:

I seen twilight at the cinema because I missed the film I was suppose to watch, and Twilight was on at the right time. I the perfect audience for Twilight, teenage girl. I like my shoujo manga alot, even if they’re on the guilty pleasure side. I thought the movie was bad, not the worst, but pretty bad. I like my characters to be developed, this movie really lacked that. Enough complaining.

I always thought Twilight would have made a perfect manga, at least bishie-sparkles makes perfect sense. The art looks very nice, but too much screen tones for my taste, less is more. From that one single frame, the speech bubble is side ways, meaning it’ll be more like an american comic but in black and white. The art style doesn’t look very ‘manga-ish’ anyway. I think they’re aiming this book at the general twilight fangirls then the usual manga fans. Most manga fans seems to hate Twilight anyway, even the shoujo fans like me.

My friends are going to forced me to read this version now…/facepalm.

Maybe I’m the only one, but I’m soooo happy! I like Twilight, (Only read some parts of the first novel), but I really wanted this to happen.
