The plot thickens and it’s gets even more screwed up. Considering what’s happened with Yuzuki, I should’ve known even the novel author was also susceptible to an alteration yet the thought never crossed my mind once. When Futase said Fumio initially never took part in battles, I thought there’d be a penalty for non-participant Selectors. Well, you can say everyday life was the penalty as it forced her into a corner until there was no choice other than to finally play.
Looks as though the altered Fumio’s suspicions on Iona may, in fact, be true. However, what’s tripping me up is a few disjointed facts. Mayu knows Iona and seems to have known her a long time. But for the longest while, Iona gave the impression she was a natural born human. I mean, she wanted to become a LRIG after learning the truth about WIXOSS to be beside a Selector who shared her views. Yet she talks about Mayu as though she knows her personal habits. My brain’s wracking around this. The only other explanation that could possibly be plausible is that Iona may indeed have been a LRIG and she’s suffered amnesia like Tama.

Iona is probably a natural born human, but then so might Mayu. Who says all that is the books is even true.
