Captain Earth would make for a fun fighting game!

Welcome back to the build up for the final episode and once again Skylion is here to chat with me about these two interesting episodes, but I had more fun with episode twenty four because it had a lot of plot of crazy things!

About

Is huge anime fan from Florida! who loves to watch anime and also enjoys drawing and collecting pictures, my favorite genre of anime has to be Mecha, there is just something awesome about giant robots beating the crap out of each other! Other than that type of show, I love a good comedy or action series :D

So, what they’re saying is that the Designer Children bodies and the Machine Goodfellows was all an experiment by the Oberon spaceship’s AI, Puck, researching ways to get a physical body of its own to conquer the galaxy for itself?

Also, Captain’s Blurays apparently haven’t been selling well.

Not surprised at the lack of sales. CE doesn’t seem like a show that’s very compelling to own. I like watching it, but it’s not one that you’d think “I need to have this on the shelf.”

    • Foshizzel says:

Ya Puck wants to make love to himself and the entire universe….

That is quite sad for Bluray sales ah well I can agree with HWY it’s a series I really don’t want to own and I will not be recommending it to anyone sadly.

That’s kind of to be expected after how lackluster its performance has been thus far. I, myself, admit Captain Earth isn’t a series that will leave a mark on the anime community. Odds are it will fade away in no time once the curtain call is made. If it doesn’t please audiences with its initial airing when still fresh, the results will reflect and impressions won’t be made in the sales of its merchandise.

Izuna-tan otoh is something I’d like to own on my shelf’desu.

A visual novel spinoff, Captain Earth: Mind Labyrinth, will be released in 26 Feb 2015 for the PS Vita.

The game promises an original story not seen in the anime.

Too bad I don’t own a PS Vita! I wonder if anyone will leak the short mini movie from the game? I wouldn’t mind that! I saw a screenshot from the game with Akari and Moco doing their best bellybutton forte or lifting their shirts 😛

Akari may do it a lot but Moco makes it look sexy with that hot body of hers. Akari still has to develop physically.

Episode 23 isn’t worth mentioning but 24 made up for the disappointing waste of time. I was getting worried a bit there. “Here we are nearing the end and all of a sudden, Puck’s been cut from the main story?” Those were the thoughts on my mind. So, Puck was happily grinning behind the scenes while screwing absolutely everyone over.

Among the Planetary Gears, everyone else has more or less had their mentality explained but Seiren remains a mystery because she’s being indecisive on what should be done. Feels it’s an obligation to attack the humans but you can see there’s growing reluctance and hesitation. Maybe she’s afraid that she does have a change of heart, the other Gears will lose respect and not follow her.

I actually liked the dream episode, and thought it tied in well after they got into episode 24.

I thought they kind of explained Siren, in that she doesn’t want to be a Planetary Gear, she doesn’t want to be a space vampire, but she has no choice, especially because they others count on her so much.

OMG, I can’t believe we agree on something!

Episode 23 was actually one of the best episodes for me in a while for this series. I loved seeing Daichi having to relive the beginning and being a normal non-super-special kid again. I liked the way the kiltagang showed up and how they interacted with Daichi. It was really the first time you could see them together and talking like it was normal. And the surreal moments when they suddenly turned into their evil selves was fascinating. The ending when Daichi awoke was cheesy, but I like the rest of the episode.

What sorcery is this?! I must be dreaming! 😀

Wow, episode 23 is actually the first episode in a very long time, that I’ve actually enjoyed of Captain Earth.

I really liked the character inspection of Daichi and how he encounters the same events but with the Kiltgang haunting his every step. It was like a weird nightmare where everything was turned upside down.

It got a little cheesy at the end with Daichi’s hallmark card lines to all of the Planetary Gears, but on the whole, I actually quite liked this episode, even if it IS pretty much filler.

As for episode 24, so Puck has finally made his move. About time, since I was beginning to think we’d see nothing from him even at the end.

However, it’s nice to see the kiltgang and the midsummer’s knights finally all together. And I rather like the fact that Princess Siren is basically a goddess that can bring her men back to life.

However, all this fighting is useless as Puck ends up being the final boss and one that both teams with have to fight against. I’m guessing that all of the kiltgang will die, except perhaps the princess. Hana will defeat Puck in some gushy sacrifice, but, since this show doesn’t know the meaning of the term “bittersweet ending”, Siren will bring Hana back to life and everybody will be happy ever after on Earth.

Well, let’s just get this over with. It’s a good pre-finale, but this show took wayyy to long to get here.

EDIT: Saw the finale. Sigh…I’m really tired of this power of love crap. -_-
