Have you ever loved someone so much you jizzed in your pants just from touching hands? I didn’t think so. Anyway, that’s basically the story of Mitsuki’s life now whenever she’s around Yuuya. Who would have thought that trying to grab a bottle of soy sauce could escalate so quickly? And that’s about it for episode 10. The entire rest of the episode is just your typical generic story about finally getting rid of that nuisance only to realize how much you miss it once it’s gone. They literally couldn’t make an episode more exemplary of the trope than this. Oh, and by the way they also couldn’t cram in any more recycled scenes than this. Practically half the episode consisted of flashbacks with no new animation work.

Yuki-nee takes the initiative.
Moving on to episode 11, we have the onsen episode. Again, it’s pretty much what we expect with scantily clad girls and easily misunderstood “accidents.” One thing to note though, is that at some point I thought that Yuki-nee wasn’t actually going to pursue Yuuya romantically. Turns out I was wrong because as this episode makes clear, Yuki-nee is very much interested in him. She comes really close to kissing him in the mixed bath and even goes so far as to make a “declaration of war” against Mitsuki. Apparently this doesn’t sit well with Neko though, because after witnessing the declaration she starts plotting to push Yuki-nee away from Yuuya. Which, further reinforces the notion that she’s watching over Mitsuki and Hiyori. And so the stage is set for the heart-pounding and crotch-wetting finale.

Sonico can’t say no to a cute kitten that she finds, that’s how she’s ended up with 5 cats in her apartment. But a new kitten doesn’t quite get along with the others that she has (who have a pretty unnatural amount of coordination and teamwork). I can’t really understand her naming scheme for the cats, but Rice doesn’t really seem to match, whatever it is. But even though the cats don’t all get along, when push comes to shove and the new kitten gets lost and cornered by a dog, the others all look for him and fight back on his behalf. And thankfully for Sonico, this cat actually belongs to someone else, so she can give it back.

Welcome back to the magical boob show and this week we have an actual romance themed episode?! Just kidding it was more of a misunderstanding episode because Furan thought she fell in love with a guy who ran into her one night while it was raining; however it was not a guy at all but Azuki who stole a jacket from a thug she beat up and it made her look very manly! That said Yuuka decided it would be a great idea to have Azuki disguise herself as a guy once again and actually go on a date with Furan to cure her of her fear of men? Now I will say that the date portion of the episode was really funny until we reached the accidental first kiss scene between the girls! Damn that kind of sucks for the two of them, but in the end Furan discovered that her first love actually Azuki instead of a random guy at the end! Oh and wow Furan looks a lot better with her hair down.
This was kind of cute…
Where is that other hand going!? ITS A MYSTERY!!
The only bad-ass moment of the entire second season!

Kotone and Shizuku have fun in the snow
Most Uncomfortable Kiss
Snow! But Haruka’s lunch outside with Shizuku doesn’t work so well, as you can guess. So it’s good that everyone having a snowball fight goes a lot better. And Shizuku is still worrying that Kotone is just playing around being with her for now and will go to her fiance after they finish school. I don’t know if Kotone would do that, but it’s certainly Shizuku’s worry. For now, at least, Kotone is focused on Shizuku, and throwing snowballs at Yuu. The only one not enjoying the snowball fight is Kaede, who is at the last Student Council meeting for Mitsuki as president. But the real interest happens after the meeting, when Kaede asks Mitsuki if she’s ok with ‘that kind of thing’. Because Kaede wouldn’t have a problem with them talking about it, and she thinks Yuzu probably wouldn’t either. What’s she talking about? “Well, Haruka and Yuu are dating, aren’t they?”
Mitsuki tries to deny the truth
Even though Mitsuki denies that Haruka would be dating Yuu (Kaede does note that she doesn’t even mention Yuu), the more Kaede sees, the more she thinks they really are dating. Of course, the more Yuu hangs out with Haruka, the more meanings for “SBJK-san” she comes up with, this time “unbelievably clumsy” and “vindictive.” But I like that the show has kept that continuity between episodes, from something that could have been so easily a throwaway joke.

Super Sonico The Animation – 04: Sonico is a nice but can sometimes be a doormat and that’s not something I’d want to see her as. If left unchecked, her room would be crawling with felines. For her sake, she should take her friend’s warnings seriously. On another note, those are some cute looking cats.

Maken-Ki! Two – 09: In spite of everything, the attempt to get rid of Furan’s androphobia was admirable because the way things are going, she could end up like No-Rin’s classroom teacher Becky and that ain’t pretty. And she looks better without the glasses.
Ooh, did I feel sorry for Azuki losing her first kiss in the worst of ways (for her, at least). That’s something that can never be undone.
That aside, is this and other shows trying to beat out Sakura Trick? There was a yuri kiss here, one in Nobunagun (Non consensual for Sio) and one between Ryuko and Nui from Kill la Kill in episode 21.

I don’t know if they’re trying to beat out Sakura Trick, but this season certainly has lesbian relationships up quite a bit between Sakura Trick and Witch Craft Works. I think both have a depth of relationship that’s more than the usual.

Sakura Trick – 04: Uh-oh, someone’s finally onto Haruka and Yuu and blowing their whistle. Kaede is suspicious about them but just imagine how’d she’d react if finds out Mitsuki is slowly developing interest in Haruka. I’m surprised Mitsuki didn’t fully accept Kaede’s word on the spot considering she has noticed how abnormally close those two are.

I don’t think Kaede’s blowing the whistle as much as trying to find out if something that’s ok to talk about. I like how they presented it as Kaede trying to say that she’s ok with it and that they don’t have to hide it around their friends.
And Mitsuki’s only interest in Haruka and Yuu has been whether she can get closer to Haruka. I don’t think that Mitsuki has really realized how much of an infatuation she has with Haruka, tho.

An interesting aside: The Character songs for the series are out, and each girl sings one. Kaede’s song Girl Meets Girl, besides featuring the technically best singing from Mai Fuchigami that I’ve heard, much less nasal than her GuP singing or the ED to Outbreak Company, talks about a girl being with a girl and liking to see their cute mad faces when she plays a prank on them, and looking forward to spending time with them and dokidoki and going with them to the end of the world.
Related aside: Haruka’s character song, Haru Iro Otome, is great 80’s girl rock sung by Haruka Tomatsu, about being with a special someone.
