Good to have the entire crew for this episode. Finally we saw another facet to our thick-headed Dandy (that badass yet almost failed flight attempt to save Adélie was awesome), with this ending up as one of the best feel-good episodes of this season. Hope I don’t sound too much like QT this time around and listen till the end. ^_~

Oh mannn, who would have thought Space Dandy could be so adorable? There’s plenty to talk about this week since this episode is the most plot-heavy (well..relatively) one yet. Enjoy the show and let us know if Dandy won you over this week or if you still think he’s a total perv.

Yeah, the fingerprints of formula…just all over this episode. It was a parade of tropes. But, damn it, they made these tropes very much their own. That’s a good stamp of a fine creative team. And is much welcome for this show. I mean, a LOLi HanaKana is pretty much walking trope.
“I could see it coming a mile away”. Yeah, we could see everything a mile away. But don’t we anticipate the steps along the way? Aren’t we anxious for that destination?
Ah, a LOLi. You just got to add them….I thought this one was going to be a walking disaster, but some fine performances (dub was not bad this time, trumped by the native Japanese), good pacing, a brilliant insert song, and a sweet trying to fly penguin….and we got a winner.
Just add LOLi! And keep her that way, she’s far more interesting.
“Boobies go up and boobies go down”. I’ll take that ringtone! But only Jrow’s version…
I’ve put salsa on eggs…I’ve cut up eggs into my pancakes with maple syrup, cut up into hashbrowns with ketchup and hot sauce. I love to experiment with eggs. Including the Silver Spoon raw egg mixed into hot rice with soy sauce.
Heck, all this show needed was some sort of story, and it vaults itself above its previous derpery.

Yeah I saw that coming a mile away, but at the same time I was pleased with the outcome with Dandy going out of his way to ask around about Adelie's grandpa.
Ah yes the never ending battle of dub vs sub continues on! Personally I felt both girls for Adelie did fantastic jobs especially during the more emotional scenes.
Oh you don't want her to grow and join the crew as an adult? that could work even though Dandy's lifestyle isn't really for kids her age IMO hahaha

Adiele joining as a buxom adult is typical. We all know she’s just a touch smarter than Dandy, so any stories with her as a LOLi would be more interesting. I can only imagine the fights she would get in with Meow…

I’m a big egg person, except for raw I can eat it in every way possible. But the maximum I do with it in terms of spices is black and/or white pepper and sometimes red chilly powder for a different taste in different mixtures but tabasco… is a bit extreme. But hey, salsa idea is not bad (I’ll try it), and I have done the rest as well. If the rice is steamed hot while you add the egg and sauce, it turns out AWESOME!
Anyways, I was not specifically talking about you. 😉

I will probably do a review at the halfway point of Buddy Complex and I don’t know what I will do with Nobunaga the Fool because sadly it was not well received on Metanorn or the anime community in general because it was so random and off the way I think people wanted more of a story.

So Space Dandy can and will do these kinds of episodes too huh? I loved it,especially after last week’s insanely hilarious episode. I was definitely not won over from the beginning and just two weeks ago I was debating on whether I should continue watching or not but I’m starting to appreciate this anime more & more.
I hope we’ll see Adelie again in the future,preferably a bit more grown up(I’m sure they can come up with a few excuses for fast growth :P).

Can and does it very well! As for more episodes like this we shall see because Space Dandy is very comical at times so I can’t expect it to dive into emotional stuffs too much, but we shall see.

These past couple eps., very different in tone, have both been very entertaining in different ways. Shows what kind of range the series has and will surely use throughout.
