True the story was a bit off the wall for the story, but I never really think IS is going to have that all of a complex story b/c its the usual harem stuffs we are used to…

Still no tickling attack by Tatenashi. That’s suppose to be her weapon and why Ichika is easy to give up around her.
And they cut out the alone time of the other girls with Ichika. They all had time with him besides Cecilia. Charl went to the Cooking Club with him which inspired her to learn making meat and potato stew(for him of course). Laura went to the Tea Club and wanted to wear a kimono afterwards. Houki went to the Kendo club and decided to attend club again(she was a ghost member). And Dan, Ichika’s male friend, was suppose to be here and meet up with Rin and Ichika.
Seems they went for the Cinderella event for the bulk of the episode. Which was fun but stupid overall. How does a riot shield break from a thrown sword when it can deflect kunais and bullets. Not to mention its size..
And that’s too early to reveal M’s face. That was suppose to be for later, at the end of volume 6 in fact(still at volume 5 here in the episode). The surprise is gone now. Not that it matters I guess as it’s still a stupid twist, much like
almosteverything that happens in this show. The writing from here onward gets even more ridiculous and stupid so don’t expect anything more from this show. The girls are still top-notch though.Tatenashi will prove next episode why she’s the strongest and the best girl. Should be fun.

So basically they’re cutting out all the good stuff and skipping ahead to what they think are clever twists? That kind of makes me wonder if the problem is with the adaptation or with the source material. Or maybe both, I guess.

Well, the source material would never be classified as ‘great’, but this adaptation really is making a bit of a hash of it. It’s like they’re throwing in just enough to say “See, we’re following the story” but blazing through it so fast that it means nothing.

Yeah, when I was watching this, I was thinking “this is going way too fast, there was a lot more harem hijinks besides the Cinderella thing”, But they could have done 3 episodes with all the stuff that actually went on with the school fair before now. They really are blowing through the story and it’s suffering for the effort.

So this must be Cinderella’s story in an alternate dimension. Nice. Props, my foot. Those were live weapons and most of the girls had real murderous intent. I feel sorry for Ichika. The dude wants to get rid of the crown but can’t. I sure wouldn’t want to be Tatenashi’s sights. She may act playful but she’s unbelievably sadistic.

I still want to see that as a full 12 episode series! Battle Cinderella maybe it will be like Freezing/Queens Blade type? Yesssssss!
