The little sister super show continues to crack me up and this week is quite special because the last episode ended with a random cliffhanger with the arrival of Akito’s surprise fiancée! Also, Akiko had no time to react was also hilarious, but what is going on this time? Well Akiko versus Arisa in an all-out battle for Akito’s love. Yes these two wasted no time becoming rivals because both of them want the same thing; however Arisa is not just some cute little girl! She has a lot to offer even though she is only twelve years old…yeah…she can cook, clean and do anything while Akiko kind of fails at everything? So which contest did you like? Personally I kept laughing when the cat allowed Arisa to touch and decided to bite the hell out of Akiko’s hand! Yeah the power of moe allows you to pet random stray cats! Oh and she also knows hey incest is bad yo and kind of illegal? Damn she is really super smart. Thankfully in the end the two girls kind of become friends instead of enemies, but I was kind of disappointed that Arisa didn’t have like a dark side to her? I mean like when Akito is not in the room she could have been mean towards Akiko! Then again maybe a character trait like that is too predictable?
Fun side not to mention the voice actress for Arisa is really twelve years old and Akiko’s voice actress is only fifteen and both of them are in this suggestive series? That is either impressive or really strange.

Well damn if that wasn’t the craziest episode of Sakurasou yet, maybe the most crazy episode of anime I’ve seen this year. After all the DRAMA, we’re treated to an episode of anime that felt like it was being directed by Misaki herself. The episode was going at a breakneck pace through all the jokes which really helped in making the ep as whole funny. It also helps that some of Sakurasou’s tried-and-true jokes were especially fun, turning in the funniest Mashiro misunderstandings yet; I laughed out loud on quite a few occasions watching this episode. I thought that through it all, Aoyama and Mashiro would start to look at each other as rivals (or at least Aoyama would), but that has yet to materialize as Sorata’s sister was playing the every-annoying-imouto-anime-has-seen character.
Boobs were being fondled, so enough chat for me this week. Let’s get to dem hot caps!

Flat Momo is a nightmare!

Lala is having a good time I think…
For a moment there I thought this episode was not going to have an opening, but nope we get to watch Lala’s newest invention go crazy giving Nana bigger breasts; however Momo becomes flat! I guess that is karma for you huh? Then again the effect doesn’t even last five minutes before Nana loses her new bust…so which loli-fied version do you like more Lala, Nana or Momo? Personally Lala was alright even though she was still a super air head as a child. I think the entire episode follows sibling relationships and how they might fight all the time, but in the end they come back to loving each other. Anyone that has siblings probably understands that subject right? Besides those warm moments with the three main alien girls, this episode has plenty of ecchi moments provided by Oshizu Murasume freaking out because of a dog that triggered her ghost powers…yes…Oshizu is a ghost that uses a fake body that allows her to walk around. So what else happened? Oh Lala and Rito share a tender moment together in her bedroom aka another ecchi overload scene thanks to another failed invention? GOOD WORK bro; however there was one serious moment which got Rito to think about who he really loves Haruna, Lala or should he just go with Momo’s harem plan?

Trouble: Darkness – Rito, take the harem plan! Momo’s doing all the heavy lifting for you, all you have to do is show up! Although, it might be best for him if he continues to bumble around the way he is, because open support for Momo’s harem plan would probably backfire with at least some of the girls (especially Yui). Let them all talk themselves into realizing that 1/8th or whatever of a Rito is better than no Rito.

I KNOW RIGHT? Jesus Rito what are you even doing bro!? Momo is p much helping you on everything, but through out the first two seasons he has always had his mind set on Haruna or Lala; however Darkness takes that and throws it out the window! I kind of wish that Rito wasn’t in this series at all but ah well I suppose it makes it funny right?

Sakurasou: I thought it was a fun episode. It certainly wasn’t strong on the overall story arc, but we did just finish Nanami’s first story, which was hot on the heels of the initial arc with Mashiro, so I thought a jokey slapstick episode was fine. It was pretty obvious to me that they were playing the whole thing for laughs, especially Yuuko’s broconning.
It definitely made a MetaFAP contribution this week, tho. 😉

OniiAi – 07: Arisa is the unofficial mascot of OniiAi for being so moe and it seems Anastasia wants to give Haganai’s Sena some competition in the lolicon department.
Akiko trying to keep herself together because she’s threatened by Arisa is hilarious but she’s beyond obsessive, almost disturbing if she can memorize specific situations and remember how long ago they were.
Shows suggestive as this is are extremely common in Japan. They’re so mainstream they’re viewed on televisions weekly in by kids so it doesn’t really sound so weird when you hear seiyuus so young are playing these kinds of roles. Japanese culture is nowhere near as prudish as western culture.

How young was KanaHana when she first played Mikan in To Love-Ru? Japan does have a different view of this stuff than we have. But it’s not always totally different. Wasn’t Jodi Foster only 12 when she played a child hooker in Taxi Driver? Even though it was her older sister who subbed for her the more questionable scene(s). And there are other, similar movies. You can make a very good argument that it’s less quesionable for a young actress (or actor) to voice a character in an ecchi anime than to have one appear in a live movie involving under-age sex, even if it’s only implied and not shown.

Based on what I found on Wikipedia, Kana Hanazawa was 19 years old when she first voiced Mikan in the original To Love-Ru but was 14 when she started her voice acting career in 2003.
Japan is a lot more open minded to things like ecchi whereas most western people would be appalled by the sight of it. They even have no problems involving genres that are generally considered taboo into their animes such as incest, yaoi, yuri, lolicons and shotacons which is why I think most people like anime because there’s hardly any boundaries.

Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo – 07: What did I just watch? So much fanservice. Sakurasou proved to us why it’s in the MetaFap lineup. Simply put, this was pure fun. While the previous episodes did well with drama, it was nice to see an episode that was mostly filled with comedy. Sorata just can’t win because of the misunderstandings Mashiro causes but it makes for a good watch. I’m beginning to believe these little sister characters in anime are closet perverts. Mashiro simply says “Sorata is my owner” which could mean anything and Yuuko’s mind goes straight to S&M.

To Love-Ru Darkness – 07: More borderline hentai flare. There seems to be no end to it. And why should there be? Starting without the OP right away was good to break the streak because it might become boring otherwise.
Lala and her unpredictable gadgets. When someone says it’s in the experimental stage, it should be more than enough reason to steer clear of it unless you’re looking for a whiplash of epic proportions. It was very convenient that rope invention suddenly coiled around Lala in an S&M manner. The studio sure isn’t beating around the bush with their ecchi.
With everyone honestly having a thing for Rito, he might as well surrender and give into Momo’s Harem Plan. He’d be a king and legally get away with polygamy so as to get rid of any problems regarding which girl he should choose.

Indeed! There was a lot of borderline Hentai, but really though every other episode is practically H material anyway for some.
Her inventions always fail and they always make me laugh! This week was more of an excuse for Lala to get her time to shine in the ecchi department since nothing dirty happens to her lately…haha yeah if Darkness fails for dvd sales they might as well go the hentai route >.>

Sakurasou: Who in their right mind would pass Misaki on a driving test? Unless the driving instructor was terrified she’d get Misaki again if she had to take the driving test over.
To Love-Ru: Rito should go with the harem plan. That way he won’t have to choose. But no way should Mikan be part of it, though Momo seems to be planning on including her. Also, Mikan seems to be romantically attracted to Yami so she wouldn’t be interested. Unless Yami is part of the harem so she’ll no longer consider Rito her target and will become his bodyguard instead and joining the harem is how Mikan can be together with Yami. OTOH, I’m probably over-thinking an anime you’re supposed to watch with your brain in neutral.

If there’s a harem, they should all be included, even Mikan. I would bet that even if you’re in the harem of the Emperor or King or whatever Rito would end up being, and you wanted to have a guy on the outside, with a guy like Rito you could. So Mikan could be with her friends and her brother, but not really have to be *with* her brother. A Harem like Rito’s would be more of a ‘everyone loves everyone else’ kind of polygamy. Maybe a little jealousy sometimes, but mostly just everyone getting along.

Sakurasou: Spending more time thinking the show (and watching it a couple more times – da-da-dan-daDA) I think this episode was far more favorable to Nanami than it initially seemed, and has given her possibly more of a chance to be with Sorata at the end of the show. She seemed to calm down a bit, and really presented more of a balanced presence, while Mashiro really dropped down to Yuuko’s level of childishness. Plus, Nanami’s way out in front of the others in the “How about I take you for a ride?” aspect. The question is can she get over her ‘ladylike’ ideas of how people are supposed to act and just be more of herself and what the girl inside her wants to be.
