Updated with Booklet goodness~
Looks like, this is a musical weekend. Feast your ears to Guilty Crown’s OP Single, My Dearest by supercell~
Is it my lucky day or something? I get oath sign and My Dearest the SAME DAY?! Hoo boy~ Everyone knows how much I love supercell so I won’t go there with ryo worshipping. They sure did a number this year by holding auditions for new talent and you know what? 2,000 vocalists showed up out of which Koede (15-year-old) and Chelly (17-year-old) were chosen. The OP of Guilty Crown is sung by Koede, while ED by Chelly; it’s all supercell though so look forward to the original soundtrack as well.
Coming to the single, we just don’t get My Dearest by Tsumibito and Dai hinmin as well. My Dearest‘s full version pushes the five minute boundary (5:38min) and really plays to Koede’s strengths in high and low notes. A very awesome song that literally enraptures the Guilty Crown watchers every time it’s on. Tsumibito is a slow song but is heart touching with pauses and crescendos (that Kaishte ou literally surprised me), while Dai hinmin can be categorized as a rock number that makes you really appreciate why Koede was chosen out of those 2,000 hopefuls because there’s definitely more than just a voice on this little lady to play around ryo-arranged music. There are lots of instrumentals so all you cover artists there, have fun with them and enjoy the release~
