Meta Jump – Issue 01
Crazy adventures for everyone! Welcome to the first issue of Meta Jump!
Have you ever dreamt about becoming a Hokage? Do you wish you had a Ban Kai? If you saw a Devil’s Fruit, would you eat it? If aliens took over your planet, would you fight back? If circumstances make you adopt a demon lord’s baby, would you do it?! And do wizards kick ass or not? Well, if these questions caught your attention then welcome to the first issue of MetaJump!
There are a few of us here at Metanorn, who are huge fans of these shows and regularly watch them. Every week, different team members will be bringing you their thoughts on the current episodes of Bleach, Naruto, Gintama, Fairy Tail, One Piece and Beelzebub. As they have been running for some time, you don’t expect long summaries, do you? So, sit back and enjoy a few quick hits of the most popular Shonen shows of current time.

Gintama – 218
Kagura- “Meh Today I feel so lazy.” Gintoki- “Sweet, more food for me this week.”

Ah, Gintama. You’ve been trolling us since 2003, yet that’s what makes me being attracted to you. You have some great serious arcs and fillers that can make me cry for days, but you also have lots of fillers that always make me feel like slapping Gintoki. Such as this crab episode. Like WHAT THE HELL. Don’t these morons know this thing such as sharing!? Why do you think me and Overcooled aren’t trying to kill each other right now? It’s cuz OC has such a kind heart that she’s willing to give me Date Masamune from her Sengoku Basara harem! Why isn’t Tenchou firing me? It’s because I lend her my Gintoki! SHARE, PEOPLE, SHARE…. *cough* Well, on the other side, we as human beings should reflect on this episode. The event is very ordinary, yes, but this shows the greediness that exists in every human. Even if we can change, sometimes the end result can’t be changed (such as the nasty crab food). Although I hate how this episode is stoopid as hell, I just can’t help but loving the fact that even the most stoopid episode has a moral lesson. And how the mangaka is able to turn such ordinary events into something amazing and fun like that. I will never look at crabs the same way again. NEVER. |

Naruto – 221- 222

So we’ve got a double episode this week and, boy, A LOT is covered! First off, Kabuto’s a total creeper, though I don’t quite understand how anybody who drags fat snakes out their behind would NOT be. Also, I totally giggled when he said that he wanted Sasuke because the kid kinda deserves it in my opinion. xD Either way, the fact that he’s joining forces with Madara is not good. At all. Obviously there is the power issue what with this Resurrection jutsu of his – he’s already got the dead members of the Akatsuki and apparently even more than that. And God knows who’s in that last coffin!!! It was enough to give Madara pause which makes me think that it might possibly be somebody he knew well. I’m placing my bets on Madara’s little bro. So yah, with the combined force of Kabuto and Madara, the Five Shinobi Nations have got their work cut out for them. Moving on, it’s going to be hella fun to watch Naruto work with Killer Bee seeing as they’re both absolutely HILARIOUS. I guess the question isn’t whether Naruto will be able to gain control over the Nine-Tails (because he obviously will) so much as what that will entail and whether or not it will be enough to deal with Sasuke. Finally, Kisame’s still alive! It strikes me as odd that Killer Bee is lugging around this dude everywhere and hasn’t realized that he’s there. I’m already working on a trophy for Kisame though. It’s got “PLAYS HIDE AND SEEK LIKE A BOSS” emblazoned on it in gold lettering. Real gold. |

Bleach – 332
Nozomi- “Uhhh this doesn’t look right.” Ichigo- “Stand very still, while we charge you up duh.”

Well this episode of bleach was very nice as far as the action goes; it was great to see more shin on shin action! For those not following the Bleach Anime we have several fake captains aka reigai running around fighting themselves or other shinigami. We also get some explanations on the newest shinigami, Nozomi’s and how her shikai works. Her power allows her to absorbs energy and fire it back at you! So she’s basically a Kirby type of character. The best moment of course would be the arrival of the captain Yamamoto, who cranks up the heat and turns the fake Byukuya into BBQ. |

Fairy Tail – 90

LILY!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! This has to be one of my favourite arcs yet. This episode was some srs bsns with the whole saving the Exceed thing and revealing the queen’s secret. My only question is how the heck were all the characters pushing the rock? I understand how the flying lizard thing and the cats were able to float and push, but where the rest of them pushing while balancing between the two rocks? Were they standing on something? Does not compute. Charle was awesome in this episode as well. Yui Horie makes an epic tsundere flying cat. I’m a bit worried for the ending of this arc because the anime is catching up with the manga, but hopefully they’ll manage to avoid filler. Somehow. |

One Piece – 508

Whew, I’m glad we’re past the Brothers arc. It was boring to read in the manga and it was pretty painful to watch in anime form. These half-length episodes with the rest of the crew have been refreshing; I really miss all of Luffy’s crew. Though Impel Down and Marineford were strong arcs in the One Piece lore, the value of Luffy’s nakama and the sense of humor they provide to the show cannot be underestimated. Moving on to episode 508, ~Nami-swan~ showing emotion towards the death of Ace and wanting to support Luffy was nice, not to mention seeing her in that “Moody” tank top was sex. All the weather dudes running around in circles for no reason was kinda humorous. Franky’s arc as a whole isn’t really all that enjoyable, but the little bits about Vegapunk are nice because we just don’t know much of the guy other than mass-producing Kuma and giving Kizaru his light kick. |

Beelzebub – 28

Compared to the other shows in this issues, Beelzebub is fairly new yet it has that comedic factor that grabs your attention. Once you get over the naked-baby factor, Oga, Furuichi and the gang keeps you busy with their antics and comedic timing. Beelzebub has sure grown on me. Even after dropping it, I randomly picked it up again one day and that small marathon turned out to be good. Not to mention, the production quality and story line has improved a lot with the delinquents now transferring to a new school because Oga simply destroyed their old |

I quit watching all the long-before-ending shows. Especially the top three popular ones-Naruto, Bleach and One Piece. Gintama don’t suit my taste to make me start watching the whole series so far. Didn’t feel like watching Beelzebub. The only series I actually follow is Fairy Tail. (which is also being watched and downloaded unwillingly by me)
I liked Fairy Tail during my early days of watching but now I no longer have much interest for it due to my friend giving me spoilers from the manga every time. For episode 90, the pushing of the lacrima just to make time for Mistgun is just a “what a waste of energy” situation. Still, all’s well ends well.

Yeah some of these shows are really hard to jump right into, like Bleach and One piece getting up there in numbers. The easiest one probably would be Beelzebub or Fairy Tail for now.
Yeah when fairy tail started out it wasn’t that amazing for me, but I like the pace of that series how things are insane and crazy! And very dramatic <3 Yep pushing for 90! Hopefully it can be as huge as One piece with 500+ episodes xD

I am willing to sit through all the rock pushing it takes just as long as it avoids filler. Yeah, I found it hard to sit through too, but I gave it about a half year break and just caught up again. It’s easier to watch now.

Whoo!! I’ve been following Naruto Shippuuden since the Five Kage Summit. It’s getting good again and this time it’s gonna be an all out war. And the enemy will be none other than the Akatsuki. I want to know how powerful they because not only is Kisame still alive but Pain alone was able to destroy the entire Hidden Leaf Village. So now all five Great Nations are filled with anxiety.
Kabuto’s new Orochimaru look gives me creeps especially that snake behind him. He won’t be an easy foe to beat. He’s even got Madara spooked with all those fallen Akatsuki members and what was in that last coffin he brought out. It’s gotta be one of the dead Hokages, maybe even the first one because The First Hokage was the one who Madara in the current state he’s in. Kabuto has Itachi in his arsenal. Sasuke’s gonna be pissed when he hears that.
Naruto is already goofy and Killer Bee is good for a laugh with all his rapping. Getting them together to train so Naruto can control the Nine-Tails should be interesting to watch provided Killer Bee doesn’t get to Naruto with his rapping. Seeing Naruto completely control the Nine-Tails will be awesome.

Gintama has the lul factor that is sooooo true! Beelzebub is up there on some jokes I do find myself laughing along with that too. Hell One piece has a few gag characters that always are doing random or funny things, even Zoro can manage to do something funny.

The manga is in a really intense arc right now. The anime is pretty good too though. The arc the anime is in is pretty good right now, but I wasn’t too fond of the one before this. It still had its moments of awesome though.

Naruto’s chibi-jinchuuriki form looks kinda funny there. I feel like I should be watching the anime again, so maybe keeping up with it here will bring me back for the occasional episode.
I read Fairy Tail before it became an anime. I liked it, but initially felt it was similar to One Piece enough to where I just made a decision that I only wanted One Piece.

Yeah I think a few people were already into the Fairy tail manga before the anime, in a way it is similar to One piece I thought the same thing but gave it another shot and loved it! So many cool characters.

Yeah Fairy tail has some great characters! I would say out of the huge shows both Fairy tail and One piece have some of the best characters. I haven’t read any of the manga but I probably will soon!

Truthfully, i dont actually watch it, but read it. anime’s just taking too long and the seiyuus for fairy tail dont really match the characters either…
I do still follow Bleach and Naruto, but for me it’s becoming more like one of those shows you follow just for the sake of following, not because you are actually interested.
The only i watch, well read actually, is Fairy Tail.
Beelzebub, i’m not gonna go anywhere near and i hope to start Gintama~ i saw promo in Ao no Exorcist (ep 15 i think?) and it got me really cracking up!! so plan on watching it soon~

Some of the voices don’t that’s true but I do love Fairy tail! Some fun characters and always a comical side to most episodes.
Bleach and Naruto are getting good! Although Bleach is stuck in filler, but this filler for Bleach looks amazing! Well animation is near movie quality.
Beelzebub is slow at the start but I was surprised they have some entertaining fights! Gintama is more for comedy factor but every once in a while they pull off some great action/fighting arcs.

man with the rate the Naruto anime is heading… I can predict a stupid filler for the next few months or until the manga has enough chapters for the anime to work on for a few more months before we see another filler cycle.
I hope the naruto anime will expand a lot more on the fights for the current war, since the manga is rushing to push them out. Which leaves out a shit ton of details.
I personally just want to see all the dead ninjas using all their jutsu agains. =/.. Especially all the ex-kages.
