EPISODE 7
Taito goes to Gekkou yet again to ask for training but this time he relents, agreeing to help Taito get stronger … by sending him through a giant swirly portal of death. Swell. In said giant death portal of death we meet Edelka, another kinky mistress in charge of desire or wet dreams or something. Taito is shown a vision of Himea cradling his severed head as she made a pact with Edelka for his life previously. (Remember when Hinata killed him and we got total Deus Ex reason for him being alive? Yeah, this is them trying to justify it)

Taito pays a price to Edelka to get what he wants, i.e to become stronger, but much like a monkey’s paw it’s going to cost him big in a way he doesn’t expect. Himea and Taito head through other portals to search for whatever it is that will make Taito stronger, with Taito dying in nearly every one, smoooth. Yuuichi is still sneaking about, too, approaching Gekkou and Mirai and bringing them down a peg. Oh, and Taito thinks too much that it makes his brain explode. Yup. Been there. In other news, he gets a cat.

EPISODE 8
Oh hey! A beach episode! I’ve NEVER seen one of them before! /sarcasm So, yeah, this one is as terrible as the others. Go figure? So everyone is there, our regulars and the newcomers; teach and Aomi. And they do what everyone does during a beach episode; frolic. In the sea, in their pants, it’s fanservice central.
Why I love winter, no swimsuits or skirts...
But, ohmygod, plot actually starts happening at about 10 minutes in with Yuuichi killing Taito…with chalk. Himea tries to punish him for beating up her precious Taito, but he isn’t human either so she doesn’t do much damage. So, Yuuichi sits them all down and explains their training, before chucking them into the fray. This guy has a thing for chalk, it’s his weapon of choice I guess. Regardless, everyone gets their asses kicked. Over and over again…

END THOUGHTS
Well, on the plus side the animation on Yuuichi is great. You gotta love that shit eating grin, he’s such a bastard. The way he handles everyone, especially Gekkou is very entertaining. It’s also great to see Gekkou put on equal ground with Taito, because with Yuuichi around he’s no better than Taito in terms of strength.
I bash the beach episode, and it did take up the first half of the episode with it’s pointlessness, but the second half wasn’t half bad. There was plenty of action and smarmy Yuuichi to keep me from chewing threw my own mouth out of sheer boredom, which is usually the response most other beach episodes inspire in me.
Haruka’s arrival is going to bring some much un-desired drama to Kuro Usagi. Unless she goes all split personality I fail to see why we need her there, other than to piss off Himea and make her revert back to her insufferable insecurity complex. Ugh. God, I hope they don’t go back there. It’s a dark, humorless place with little to no basis. SHE’S A FREAKING VAMPIRE. NEEDS TO START ACTING LIKE ONE. Oh, and while we’re on the subject…STOP WANDERING ABOUT IN SUNLIGHT, HIMEA. YOU’RE A VAMPIRE.

Episode 7: Well, nothing is free when making plans to gain power. You have to give up something in exchange. Lol, memory overload. Taito couldn’t handle memorizing all those places and blew a fuse. And what’s with Himea using Taito’s head as a road map? That’s harsh, he’s already her servant but that’s adding insult to injury. This show has something in common with Ao no Exorcist: Using demons as familiars. Yuuichi is a great addition to the cast. It’s nice to see Gekkou finally getting a taste of his own arrogant medicine.
Episode 8: This really is summer season, another beach episode. I’ve seen one in just about every show that’s been playing recently. But it wasn’t so bad because I get Yuuichi get under Gekkou skin. Payback is a bitch, isn’t it, Gekkou? Chalk as a weapon? I give it an A for creativity and Yuuichi is basically putting them in boot camp. Taito was his impression of the Headless Horseman but he forgot the horse. This episode was average but points for the fanservice.
As Himea wandering in the sunlight. Anime vampires have the ability to withstand sunlight now. A new breed the Japanese have created (ex: Rosario + Vampire, Moon Phase, Fortune Arterial and even Hellsing) That just makes them more dangerous cause it no longer makes sense waiting for salvation from the sun. You’re still going to be drained alive. Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide.
PS, Hime: I know you’re a big fan of Jun Fukuyama. If haven’t seen Blood-C or stopped watching it over time, here’s some motivation. Jun has a role in it now. He plays the magic dog who’s been following Saya around.

I don’t think I’d ever get tired of Yuuichi knocking Gekkou down a peg. I like Gekkou, don’t get me wrong, but it’s just so satifying. Kekeke…
I heard about my beloved appearing in Blood-C and went and watched episode 6 & 7 (I’d dropped it after 1 cause I found it insufferable) GOOD TO SEE NOTHINGS CHANGED! Hurr, I will stick with it though for Jun and the possibility of Watanuki from xxxHOLiC showing up. But I’m about as sour on CLAMP as I can get at the moment so it’s no going to be fun…Pray for me.

well I believe its futile since either himea is gonna win or none of them will.
and yeah, loved yuuich now. he makes this show more entertaining especially bringing down several of the characters down to earth when they thought they were powerful enough.
I wish they should have kept mirai’s tsundere personality from the manga. it would make her more amusing when she gets pissed off at gekkou. in fact, it makes me like her next to haruka.
anyway, my WMG(that I wish it would happen): the thing that was taken from taito was his experiences/feelings about haruka. in turn, it will make haruka more upset and she already seems to feel that something is different with taito(well, more than usual…)
it will cause her to become heartbroken and instead of being one of those spies that eventually side with the main character, she’ll help the god from the other side and everyone dies. THE END.
