The friend who eats whatever they want and never gains weight; Nagi has three~
~UGH, just the topic of losing weight makes my head spin and my stomach churn. I love food, and while food sometimes doesn’t love me back and does horrible things to me, there’s no way I could cut out ALL of my favorite fattening foods. Then exercising? Please. I walk home every single day which drains all of my energy to do anything more at home. Plus, I have internet business to attend to!
Anyways, enough about my laziness to lose any weight, the topic of good figures comes by the girls of A Channel when Yuuko walks into the classroom with Tooru and Run arguing about Yuuko’s good points, which all happen to be about her nice appearance.
Tooru ends up ‘losing’ as she despairs in the fact Run is giving Yuuko so much praise. Yuuko tries to be nice and console her, saying she has good points too. Tooru, however, isn’t amused at Yuuko’s “certain people like flat chests” point.
The conversation suddenly reminds Nagi about her goal to lose weight by summer and look like a model. Thinking she still only has a month left, she laughs it off, but soon realizes that they have to clean the pool, which requires them to wear their swimsuits…
Outside, Tooru is doing her duty of picking weeds on the school grounds when Yutaka’s friend Miporin (or Miho) starts talking to her, saying she’s also a big fan of hers but isn’t as extreme as Yutaka. She’ll even make sure Yutuka doesn’t bother her, at which she immediately begins to do when Yutaka catches Miporin petting Tooru’s hair and tries to do it as well.
As for the other three, who are stuck cleaning the inside of the hot, empty school pool, they manage to turn into cool fun by sliding around and splashing each other with water from the hose (Poor Tooru only being able to watch from afar).
Because obviously when cute high school girls get wet there are rainbows everywhere.
The rest of the day and continuing to the next, Nagi is shown trying to keep herself on a diet, which she wants to keep secret for fear of what the others would say or do. They find out anyways thanks to Tooru telling Nagi she should ask Yuuko how she maintains her figure. With no answers from Yuuko or Run, they decide to look up some diets on the internet as well that (obviously) turn out to be fake. However, Nagi is soon convinced that jumping right into a diet isn’t good for her, and saves her diet for another time~.
End thoughts : I’ve just been reminded that I need to lost weight, damn it. WHY DON’T I HAVE FAST METABOLISM?! *cough* This week’s episode certainly wasn’t very comedic but it was still refreshing nonetheless! It was definitely an episode most girls can relate to, heh. I totally feel for Nagi when it comes to the friends who can eat WHATEVER they want and never gain pounds. Speaking of Nagi, I absolutely loved her this episode! Her excuses when it came to gaining weight and the way she acted about diets was pretty funny. This episode was Nagi’s shining moment, and our break from the main focus on Run (which is most likely why this episode wasn’t as comedic).
One of A Channel’s odd, good points, I have to say, is that you can always get the feel for what season it is. Like this week’s episode, I definitely felt that summer atmosphere with the playing with hose, shining sun, and bright blue sky. Another example was from the first episode when they showed the cherry blossom tress and just the overall relaxed feeling of being in spring. I’m not sure if it’s because of its damn good animation or what, but whenever they transition into a new season, I can literally feel it even when it’s the total opposite of what it is outside for me. Call me strange, but I always notice these type of things. A rather short post, but I definitely enjoyed this episode (NAGI LET’S BE FRIENDS AND RAGE ABOUT WEIGHT LOSS TOGETHER!)~
BEACH TIME!! I know you boys must be happy to see these four cuties in their swimsuits while us girls are planning to sit and watch awkwardly
possibly enjoying Tooru in her swimsuit. Until next week then~
