Bakuman – 09
And you thought your love life was crazy~
~(Sorry for the late post everyone =3=;) So I received some requests to showcase my own crappy artwork in my last Bakuman post, and I delivered as promised! I’m sorry for the crappy quality; my scanner isn’t the most up-to-date thing. These are merely doodles of Shuujin and Saikou I managed to scribble out during class, so I hope you enjoy even if they’re not colored. I’m not a coloring person anyways, heh. Thank you very much to all of you who asked and for making feel like I’m actually talented in drawing ^^; Now onto what we’re really here for; BAKUMAN EPISODE 9!
After Shuujin’s (epic) fight with Ishizawa, he is suspended from school for a week, leaving Saikou alone to ponder on whether he really is holding Shuujin down.
THAT’S RIGHT! YOU GOT YOUR FACE F-D UP SUCKA! (sorry…something is escaping from me |’D)
However, with a little encouragement from his grandfather and a chapter in his uncle’s manga, Saikou escapes his dreary mood and regains his confidence back.
Grandpa saves the day again.
He decides to visit Shuujin’s house to check up on him, and upon arriving there, sees not only that he’s his normal self but that Iwase and Kaya are there!
Shuujin tells him that apparently Iwase and him are going out since she shook hands with him back in seventh grade, while Kaya is angry because supposedly he confessed to her while he was “dating” Iwase.
Sooo, can I shake a Asian guys hand and interpret it as we’re dating? Hmmm…*crazy, creeper thoughts*
Finally Kaya interrupts them and asks Takagi which one he’s going to go out with. He boldy tell them he doesn’t want to go out with any of them, but annoyingly smart Iwase drags it on by asking if he likes her. Shuujin tells that he likes them both if it was paired up with dislike (meaning he doesn’t mean it in a romantic way), yet they like him in a more romantic way. (Is your head hurting too, or is it just me?)
Bitches, please. I’m with Saikou.
Shuujin starts freaking out and tells them he wants to become a manga artist; he doesn’t have time for dates and the like. Kaya says she’ll support him, but Iwase tells him he needs to quit and that he’ll regret it later if he doesn’t. With a little speech about chasing his dreams, and mentioning he wants to go to North High, Iwase decides to leave, technically giving Shuujin to Kaya. Shuujin decides to tell Kaya about Saikou and Azuki and the only reason he needed to talk to her was because he needed more info on Azuki. Kaya is shocked, but then quickly punches him in anger.

Kaya tells him to let her punch him three more times to make her feel better, and that afterwards, will he go out with her? Shuujin frantically accepts, ready for her punches.
Girls: We’re scary when we’re mad…
…but cute for boys (sometimes).
As the crazy romance-tastic episodes closes, we once again see Eiji with his editor as they arrive in Tokyo. Eiji continuously stares at a crow, and is it crows, he gets a bit…excited and runs off, his editor frantically chasing after him.
I feel sorry for that editor…

End thoughts: Come on, you know you like Eiji more now after that last part in the episode xD I like him even more now after that little bit; he’s just so awesomely weird. He’s that weird, cool guy at school that you secretly want to be friends with, but don’t because he might be too creepy. Again, this was another “NEEDS MOAR EIJI” kind of episode where they only showed him at the end for what? A minute? MOAR EIJI PLEASE!
Anyways, I really enjoyed this chapter in the manga, and even more now that it’s animated. I found it extremely hysterical how both girls had these ridiculous reasons to think that Shuujin liked them, especially Iwase’s handshake thing xD I was like, “Are you serious?! I should try that then…”. The reason I like the animated version more is because of the faces they have them make. I’m a sucker for weird, WTF faces and such (if you couldn’t tell from my manga posts). The manga had more odd angles than funny faces, if that makes any sense.
While the girls were bugging him, I couldn’t help but think Shuujin could have said he was with Saikou and totally just cut the conversation right there, hahaha XD Nothing makes girls more awkward and quiet than finding out the guy they like is gay (trust me, I’ve seen it happen). Of course, that’s just my ridiculous suggestion. I don’t even think they’d make a good couple, yaoi doujinshi-wise; I don’t get why some girls like them together…All right, I’m going to stop my rambling here…Sorry, I’m forgetting my audience |’D
The only thing I didn’t like was the beginning where Saikou is a bit depressed over what happened; it was really slow and boring. I would yell something out, but then again I’ve been in mental situations like that myself and doing that would be very hypocritical of me |’D Overall though, it was a fairly good episode; it just didn’t get really entertaining till the end.

It looks like Kaya is not only allowed into the apartment, but is also kicking some more Shuujin butt (my poor Takagi…). The boys are also back with Mr. Hattori to possibly discuss more about their future in manga? Looks like another manga-making information episode! Until next week then~

I feel like I’m falling in love with Takagi more & more, with every single episode! And I can’t stop loving Bakuman WTF faces XD I’m also a sucker for that))))) The part about depressed Moritaka was indeed a bit slow, but I don’t mind, as long as this show keeps up it’s hysteric and FTW atmosphere! ^_____^

Shuujin’s such an [accidental] player in this episode. xD This is one of my favorites so far. HOORAY for WTF faces and weird poses!! I got so happy when they showed Ishizawa’s bandaged face, haha. He deserves it for dissing Saikou’s awesome art!

Yay for Bakuman episode 9!!! A lot of you guys are saying this weeks episode was slow paced at first, I think the slow pace fitted in the whole concept pretty well, you don’t want to rush a serious scene xD but anyways~ I actually read a chapter of Bakuman out of curiosity and now I know something I shouldn’t of known ><" I knew the basic concept of what was gonna happen between Shuujin and Kaya and also what they will become in the future~ (SPOILER!) xD
Besides that Bakuman continue to inspire me in different ways, I'm not "being full of myself" here but how Saiko tackles that tough time of wondering continuously worrying whether or not Shuujin's skills are being restricted for himself, that resembled how I feel and react when something along those lines happen in RL. I tend to think for others and say that maybe there was something I did and I would just continuously ponder on and on about what I should do… As they say, doctors can heal others but can't heal themselves
BTW!!! I'm loving your art work Hoshi~! It's brilliant especially for your highness *formal bow* It is yet another honor to be witnessing such a fine piece of art~

Yeah I found vol 2 of the manga and started reading and some how in my brain I got it confused with the anime (I blame it on mass amounts of homework) and sat there for the last two episodes think “didn’t i already see this…” Yeah that is why I never read the manga while watching the anime to much confusion.
