Kuroshitsuji II – 06
Contracts, and soul stealing, and butler-touching, oh my!~
~Before I start, I’d like to say that I am a HUGE fan for the Kuroshitsuji series, so I might end up talking in fangirl mode a lot, but I will do my serious front as well! I also haven’t even finished the first season of the anime. Shame on me, I know, but I don’t think I could handle seeing Ciel die ;A; The only reason why I am actually following the new season is because of my new found love for Alois and Claude~. And as I keep watching, I’m starting to love this new season more and more and MORE, especially after this episode.
First, a little recap: After the surprising return of Ciel and Sebastian, everything goes back to normal basically; everyone is alive, and the butler-shota duo go back to mystery solving. However, little twists start to appear as we notice that Ciel doesn’t have all his memory back as he fails to remember the reappearance of Grell, the death of his beloved aunt, Madam Red, and the Indian duo of Prince Soma and Agni. There is also the appearance of another family working for the queen: the ‘spider’, the Trancy family. Before Ciel and Sebastian can formally investigate the family, they receive an invitation (personally given to Sebastian by Claude himself) to their manor for a costume ball. The ball however, turns out to be a trap for poor Ciel as Alois and Claude try to capture Sebastian’s young master. But, why does this new butler-shota duo want Ciel for? Our questions may just have been solved.
The episode begins with a flashback at the time Sebastian was about to take young Ciel’s soul, but there seems to be a little problem with ominous church bells ringing in the distance.
We then are sent back to the forest where Sebastian fends off Alois’s troublesome triplets (as I like to call them), and manages to do a little showing off in front of Claude and his young master. Alois is left in a bit of awe, and asks Claude if he can be the better butler by bringing Sebastian to his feet. (Oh, so scandalous!)
Back at the manor, the party goes on as usual, but then Hanah, dressed in very dark and revealing dress, appears with a strange instrument. With a bit of…finger-licking fan service, she begins to play the instrument, which starts to generate a lovely, mysterious sound that ends up hurting the ears of the party goers.
Hold on, I still got some cheese on my fingers…
Soon some of them start to go mad and start to attack Soma, Agni, and the Phantomhive servants. They all come to together and do some serious butt kicking before Sebastian comes to end it.
He topples the evil sound Hanah makes by circling his fingers around glasses of water, ending the maniacal trance over the party goers.
Of course, poor Hanah is the one to be hurt again as Sebastian’s music playing shatters the bowls in her instrument, knocking her over.
I feel so bad for Hanah (is that even how you spell her name?)…I mean, these past episodes where she has shown up always end with her getting hurt, either physically or emotionally ;3; I wouldn’t be surprised if in the end she just totally snaps at Alois xD But, we’ll just have to see.
As both performances are done, Alois finally makes his appearance at the party, exchanging a few ‘kind’ words to Ciel and Sebastian. The butlers, however, must go off to ‘talk’ and their young masters want them done in, oh let’s say, ten minutes.
Outside the manor, Claude seems to anger Sebastian as he says that the feel…of Ciel Phantomhive’s soul was of a rare and fine quality. Now, Sebastian is really angry, and the epic butler fight begins!
It seems as if Claude stole Ciel’s soul before Sebastian could get to it, as we get sent back to the flashback in the beginning. He looks extremely depressed, and says his master is now a void.
You can tell some serious revenge is gonna go down as all this chaos starts to happen around him, and he smiles that devilish smile of his.
Back to the fight, Claude keeps telling more about why they needed to capture Ciel that night.
Not only did they need his soul, they needed his body as well, but Sebastian is of course not gonna let that happen, especially now that he wants to reclaim his Ciel’s soul.
Yet Sebastian keeps saying that his young master isn’t completely his young master; he has lost his memories of his suffering. And since Ciel has lost his memories, he technically needs to commit a second revenge so that Sebastian can get a hold of his soul again. Sebastian seems pretty patient as he willing is going to go through all a whole new getting-revenge sequence just for his precious soul, but he has a problem: no one to take revenge on.
Claude begins to say that his orders where to capture Ciel, but he must capture a Ciel that has already done revenge. Now that both demons are in a dead end of sorts, it looks like a deal is going to be made…
At the party, we experience a little bittersweet moment as the gang makes Ciel try Agni’s curry bread to see if it will refresh of his memory of the Indian duo. It fails, but Ciel makes a note of saying that it does taste quite good.
Anyways, back to our thieving demon butlers, they are centered at a table, dripping their blood onto white roses as they propose their deal or contract.
The contract?: Sebastian sets Claude and Alois as Ciel’s enemies for revenge, while Claude gets Ciel after they have carried out their revenge.
The butlers return to their shota masters; Sebastian giving Ciel a packet of papers that was the research Alois had done on Ciel and the Phantomhive family while Claude tells Alois he was never ordered to kill Sebastian, but that ‘the plan’ is in order.
The party continues with Alois dancing with Elizabeth, who was originally looking for Ciel to dance with. As Ciel surprisingly dances with another lady, the two shotas look eye to eye at each other, silently aiming to kill the other.
Why does this feel like it’s from a shoujo manga?
End thoughts: PFFFF I have never giggled so much in my life; the whole part with Sebastian and Claude in the water, getting so close to each other made me giggle like a maniac x’D Plus the parts with Sebastian getting so close to Ciel’s face, and the suggestive dialogue made by the butlers further fueled my giggling and I was told to shut up by neighboring siblings. I have to say this was a very good episode for the Sebastian and Claude fangirls, so much closeness you could die of a nose-bleed! I personally couldn’t help squee at Alois’s costume<3. It was so cute! When he came out, I was like, “Oh my he looks so adorwable! *A* Oh you cute little bipolar shota~”. Ah, did I mention how much fun this was to screencap? I even screencapped some events with the subs because I felt they were way too hilarious to pass up.
Anyways, back to a more serious mood, I was so surprised they made that deal, or contract as they called it o.o I think it’s because I’m a little confused on to what Claude meant when he said he would get Ciel after his second revenge is complete. I’m assuming he means he’ll get his body, because Sebastian was pretty pissed when Claude took his soul first. He was probably like, “WHAT THE HECK?!” x’D It was pretty messed up. I actually felt bad for Sebastian, to get along with that brat (I love Ciel, but he is a brat at times!) for a few years and end up having to go through the whole process again. Poor guy, then again, I applaud Claude for stealing it ;D Sebastian needs to learn he is not so awesome all the time =3= (Sorry, I’m more of a Claude fan).
One thing I didn’t like about this episode was that whole part with Hanah playing the evil instrument, called a armonica, in the manor. There really wasn’t any point to that, and it didn’t even make any sense. Maybe it was a distraction? Anyway, I didn’t enjoy it :/ Overall though, I did love this episode, not because of all the butler closeness, but of all this scheming that was going on underneath. I’m really anxious to figure out how Ciel is going to get revenge on Alois. I hope it’s something really good and violent 8D I love violent endings~<3. Yet, I’m still trying to figure out WHY Ciel needs to get revenge on Alois. Is Ciel only going to take revenge on him because of the contract, or is there something deeper involved? It’s questions like these that keep me hooked to the series, and I’ll keep watching until the very end! 😉
Preview: I feel like these previews are getting shorter and shorter, and showing less and less relevance to the next episode =3=; It’s a very simple preview with Sebastian doing some cool tricks, a view of Claude and the troublesome triplets, and a look at a potential sword battle between Alois and Ciel.
Oooooo~the sword battle looks a bit excting. Let’s see next week, shall we?

OK, first things first.
This was the most NoseBleed causing episode so far :nosebleeds: Sebastian is just TOO MUCH to bear! :cute: I never squealed so much since watching Ouran =.=” but this episode was indeed great! I wonder what happened with Ciel that had upset Sebastian so much ❓ maybe because I haven’t finished the first season either :dumb
Also, Alois fully claimed my contempt. He just acts like a total *ss all the time, and that ticks me off :kill and what’s with his desire to get Ciel, anyway?? Man, he probably had worst past than Ciel, if he’s so twisted :bleh:
Anyways, I’m SO looking forward to the next episode! The sword fight indeed looks utterly interesting :ohohoho: Ganbatte, Ciel-kuuuuun~!

Aaack! I need to marathon the first season so that I can continue with this! Sakomoto Maaya, Ono Daisuke, Nana Mizuki and Takahiro Sakurai are calling to me! (>.<)b
