First Impression – Gintama°
Gintoki and friends are back!
If there was any anime series that I wish more people watched it would be easily Gintama! Yes this series is back for third season, but how long will it run this time? While I wish it would last forever I think this will be the final season of this; however I plan on enjoying every moment, so for the first impressions I was joined by Kyokai to chat about this brand new episode of Gintama.

Gintama is back and its amazing as always! They never take things seriously and you can guess that from the epic beginning of parodying a Japanese politician. You can’t get as blatant as this, when other production houses would not even think of doing such a thing in their wildest dreams, they go and do it. Kudos to the staff and Sorachi for always breaking the trends. This is why I love this after all.

The production houses have cause to be worried, since Japanese law states defamation of another person is both a criminal and civil offense. No one wants to risk having a potential criminal lawsuit brought against them by said politician or related parties.
Even a Gintama ex-editor admitted his tenure was a ‘big headache’ in making sure the mangaka didn’t tread on too many conservative-thinking toes.

See, that’s the best thing about Gintama mangaka. He’s too crazy for his own good. I worry about him sometimes getting in trouble but people generally love him and he has a very strong following, so I hope he stays safe and much away from the twitchy hand of Japanese law…

Good good maybe after this season you can take a stab at the start? Most of the arcs are stand alone, but the whole package is worth it for all the cool characters and hilarious jokes.
