Who knew that Izaya did Vlogs and had them narrated by Namie? I guess he must be popular somewhere! So yeah previously we had an episode dedicated to Celty and half of Aoba revealing his past which I learned he is related to the leader of the blue squares which fought the yellow scarfs led by Kida, but things seem to be getting interesting this week with Kida having a short chat with Mikado to watch his back? I guess he knows something is about to go down and wants to warn his best friend. I wonder if that means he will be appearing soon? Other than that we met three more new characters Chikage, Akane and Vorona who we have seen in the opening a few times. Starting with Chikage who is a protector of women and he appears to be always surrounded by girls? Also he is a biker gang leader and successfully took five punches to the face from Shizuo? Wow that is one super tough dude! I am curious to learn more about him even though Akane has my full attention right now because she looks like a little kid and now Celty is looking for her, but I can tell there is something else behind that character because she attacked Shizou with a stun gun? Really? I swear either she has guts or maybe she is just absolutely insane?! That and it helps that she is voiced by Misaki Kuno who tends to play a lot of cute characters like Serara from Log Horizon, Kate of Zvezda, Hawk from Taizai and Tama from Wixoss so I can’t wait to see how she plays her role as Akane or are you more curious for the assassin Vorona? I don’t mind another biker chick to compete against Celty.

End thoughts
That was a interesting episode that gave us three more characters to watch and I can’t wait to see what kinds of roles they play later on, but for now my eyes are pretty much set on Akane and Vorona because they look like very interesting characters and also we have Kida watching over Mikado? I really hope he shows up later on; however it might be a long time! So what did you enjoy this week? Chikage being beaten up by Shizuo or something I left out?

Never a dull day in Ikebukuro. Izaya making online videos… Just when you thought he already exuded an excess of evil in real life. Thanks to Namie’s monologue over the course of the episode over her incestuous obsession of her brother Seiji, I was reminded of just how pathetic and insecure of a character she was. The girl is so pitiful.
Kudos to Chikage. He deliberately confronted Shizuo and lived to tell the tale; he’s a ladies’ man with good ideals regarding women. The only hitch is that the guy is wound too tight, he’s a sociopath. I can understand now why Kido warned Mikado to keep his distance from the Dollars for a while. Chikage and his gang are powder kegs on short fuses.
One undeniable thing in this show is there is no shortage of eccentric characters. Akane is this weeks’ example. Who just walks up to an unknown person, tells them to die and attacks them with a stun gun? It was Shizuo, no less!! Clearly she’s new in town.
Celty has a rival. I’ll take a wild guess and assume Vorona isn’t entirely human. Is the assumption a hit or miss?

True that! Ikebukuro is a CRAZY place in the DRRRR universe and agreed on Nami she is now Izaya’s Secretary/brocon for Seiji.
Chikage is a BOSS! He took five punches from Shizuo and lived to tell the tale? Impressive or is he just mentally insane? I have a feeling his love of women is going to be his undoing later if Celty or Vorona get pulled into the biker gang wars.
Akane has time to realize she screwed up! Also I read her bio and I already knew she was going to attack Shizuo cause shes got something against him.
Vorona? Nawwww she comes off as just a human to me and shes an assassin like Egor and a few others at the sushi restaurant ;D

Speaking of Nanatsu no Taizai, how far along the show have you gotten? It’s all getting epic and the addition of Gowther, the Goat’s Sin of Lust, Meliodas and his gang are even more awesome to watch.
Not to mention, the second OP is addictive and sung by none other than MAN WITH A MISSION, the band behind the OP for both of Log Horizon’s seasons.

Ohhh I am fully caught up and I plan on jumping into the manga ASAP when the series wraps up! Gowther is a oddball character he is a bit Inaho like in terms of no personality and comes off as “robotic” but I know that is the goal with those characters lol
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS That second OP is AAAAWESOME even though I don’t think the lyrics fit the series all that much but it is great <3 man on a mission they are becoming a fan favorite of mine.

Yeah, they’re getting up there in the list for me as well. Though steadily. Nanatsu no Taizai’s second OP makes the second song I’ve heard from them. Right now, my favorite Japanese based band is Ling Tosite Sigure. Their music is amazing.
