I guess the underlying message is if you want something, you have to work for it and work hard. Other than that, the best part of the show is the viewer has no idea where the process is going, it leaves room for unpredictability which is a rare thing these days.
It never ceases to amaze me how unhinged and depraved Akira gets every time I see her. This time, she’s reached a new level of crazy. Kidnapping… wow. Then again, she did pull a knife against Ruko and Yuzuki in Selector Infected after first receiving her penalty scar. And all of this for Ulith’s sake, no less. Akira has officially become her loyal pet.
