Hooray it is my turn to take on the second or is this still technically the first day of the ballet of bullets? Yeah I still hate that name for this tournament, but anyway time to start the post and follow the adventures of Jesus Kirito-sama!

Death gun-“With this shot maybe Jesus Kirito-sama will finally notice me.”
This week we jump right back into things with Death Gun taking out Mr. Pale Rider with a headshot, but we see it all again from the perspective of Asuna, Leafa, Yui, Liz, Silica and Klien as they watch from some special room in ALO and of course Death Gun freaks the girls out well not until he spits out his catchphrase which he apparently has? I had no idea; however that is just the writer’s way of making Klien and Asuna relevant to the current events because that simple catchphrase reminded them of someone from Laughing Coffin and it gave them a huge clue as to the identity of Death Gun.
Silica-“I wish I had boobs like yours.” Leafa-“Maybe when you level up noob.”
Now I can buy that because I know that is just a simple way for the creators to give the side characters SOMETHING to do instead of sitting on the sideline watching Jesus Kirito-sama kick ass in GGO, but since I tend to roll my eyes while watching Sword Art Online I have to say that the whole scene with Klien and Asuna making that connection between Laughing Coffin and Death Gun felt too easy; however I don’t think they will figure it out before the main character anyway because I almost forgot that Jesus Kirito-sama is also a master detective or would it make the story more interesting if Asuna and Klien figured it out? I still have no idea how Jesus Kirito-sama even plans on capturing Death Gun in the end or is he just going to track the IP address and let the cops take him in? I guess that sounds like a solid plan even though it won’t be all that easy.
Sinon-“I totally forgot to wear my don’t taze me bro booty shots today!”
Speaking of getting caught this week I have to call Sinon out because wow she got picked off so easily by Death Gun and if anyone thinks she is in serious danger I just laugh because you should know that she is wearing some super thick plot armor so she will be fine, but of course in her defense she had idea that Death Gun was running around with Snakes Stealth camouflage from Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty so for that I can forgive her for that and what about the star she saw on the gun? Sure why not I can believe seeing an image from a traumatic past would cause you to freeze just look at Marito from Aldnoah.Zero who is always seen struggling with certain things from his past.

That was not the most amazing episode ever besides some flashy animation featuring Jesus Kirito-sama flairing his damned light saber like a mad man to deflect all those bullets and the fact that I can tell Sinon is slowly falling for his “skill” and by “Skill” I mean his HAREM POWER! I know the novel fans continue to say that it won’t happen between those two; however this is an adaptation of those novels so anything is possible…I just see what kind of super cool magic they pull next week to save Sinon from danger! I bet it will be something silly like Jesus Kirito-sama turning around because he forgot to say something to Sinon and he sees Death Gun about to finish her off and he runs to save her just in time to cut the bullet in half and who knows maybe next week will set up the big fight between the two of them?! Damn I can’t wait to see how Death Gun handles a freaking light saber shoved in his face.

People within a game watching the tournament of another game. That’s some hard Inception reference right there. And Klein watching the tournament from behind, not joining the girls. Either he doesn’t want to embarrass himself by possibly getting himself drunk or he’s heeding some unwritten rule not to mess with Kirito’s harem. Especially when he’s not around.
Now I’m itching to figure out who Death Gun really is. We already know he’s a SAO survivor, more specifically a former Laughing Coffin member. I wonder if there’s anything particularly distinctive about them because I was amazed Klein correctly deduced where he previously belonged just by remembering the catchphrase “It’s show time”. Unlike Kirito, he didn’t even see the bandaged emblem on his wrist.
Nice light saber moves, Kirito. The guy’s a Jedi master. The sequence itself impressed quite a bit and you can tell a considerable amount of money got sunk for that high quality animation. Killing an innocent bystander close to the protagonist to deliberately enrage him is a risky move because you might get what you want and realize you’ve bitten off more than you chew. Still, given Sinon’s mind trips in the process, she might receive adequate resolve to withstand the paralyzing effects enough to dodge Death Gun’s bullet.

Yeah I know a guy who found that to be stupid for them to have tech inside ALO cause its a fantasy VRMMO, but I always look back at Naruto which all about ninjas in a sort of “fantasy” world and they have stuff like radios, TV and all kinds of tech toys! That and who knows maybe ALO is more like Final Fantasy? From my experience I know most of their games balance out the whole tech/fantasy element quite well.
Finding out who Death Gun is IRL is kind of interesting even though I have my own idea that it really is Sinon’s friend who wants to get with her! Yeah most will say that is stupid cause clearly he is trying to kill her this week! I dunno I just remember the main villains of season one and laugh cause SAO baddies are terribly written.
As for Klien and Asuna figuring out a possible lead with the catchphrase I thought it was just really dumb because yeah they did not see the LC tattoo on his arm so how would they connect the dots when Kirito didn’t tell Asuna a single thing about Death Gun? LOL
Animation was like 10/10 even though Kirito’s jedi move had me laughing my ass off cause it just looks completely silly to me! I am a bit jealous that SAO has such a high production value while Log Horizon simply has a meh feel to it vs SAO visuals! That and of course both are done by different studios.

I am not a big video game guy, but that Solid Snake Yui is just priceless Fosh. Priceless.
I thought this one was rather tight in it’s pacing. This was one of my “bus ride home watches” and I remember very much being very anxious scene to scene. About the only thing that got me was how the shooter didn’t like lob a grenade or something at Jedi Master Kirto. Or something like that.
