About

Is huge anime fan from Florida! who loves to watch anime and also enjoys drawing and collecting pictures, my favorite genre of anime has to be Mecha, there is just something awesome about giant robots beating the crap out of each other! Other than that type of show, I love a good comedy or action series :D

For a 2-cour show, I’ve noticed Captain has always been able to maintain high production values without suffering any major drops in animation quality for each episode.

Clearly the studio and directors put a lot of effort and budget into this production.

There were times I was very very angry at Bones for the quality of some of the Planetary Gear o’ the Week digs, at the OBVIOUS expense of Chaika. Cause Chaika is Chaika. Full disclosure, I have no clue if that is even true.

With Bones I think it depends on the series I know FMA:B had a high production team same with Eureka 7 and maybe stuff like Star Driver and yeah I have noticed with Captain Earth the animation rarely dips into derppy mode.

At least they made it look pretty. It would have been nice if they story and characters was as good as the animation. *rolleyes*

Hahah you really don’t like Captain earth all that much huh? I guess I can agree with you that I wish the characters were a bit better…

I liked Ai before but damn does she look good with glowing red eyes. Such a cute space vampire and Moco’s the sexy one. Of the Planetary Gears, they’re my two favorites. Sneaking on board? Hahaha, no way was that the case. Our idol was hiding in plain sight for all to see. That’s the best kind of camouflage right there. Her cover proved more effective than Hirosue’s which makes it sad for him that he had to put effort into his. Hopefully, the Tenkaidou crew is competent enough to connect the sudden debris attack to a Machine Goodfellow mysteriously getting on board to Ai being nowhere to be found afterward.

Magical girl Akari took charge by taking advantage of Teppei’s moment of weakness with a kiss. I mean, was the guy that broken inside? Dude, you left yourself wide open with that self-reflection.

Hirosue’s choice of willingly disarming his bombs caught me off guard as I expected him to be a douche to the very end like lesser antagonists but he actually has enough common sense to make a proper assessment of the situation.

Magical Girl Akari is magical…That moment when she shifted onto the guardrail, I knew she was setting that kiss up. Great pacing of that with the over over two shot between them both. When your partner or prospective partner is in a bad place, be in a good one. She did that…

    • Highway says:

I don’t think Hirosue did it out of proper assessment. What happened is that he has allowed himself to hope. Up until now he’s been convinced the only way to save humanity was to essentially give up and let everyone be killed. He’d given up. But Daichi brings hope. He brings hope that not only will humanity survive, it will win. And hope that the people Hirosue cares for will be saved, something he’d given up on long ago.

As, I’ve stated before I’m really just here to see how this ends and what Puck’s real endgame is. I already know what will happen with both the midsummer’s knights and the planetary gears.

However, I must admit that I like Ai in these episodes, and BB is right, she’d make a pretty good space vampire. 😛

I’m glad that Teppei and Akari are finally a couple (took them long enough), and it reminded me a little of the Athrun and Cagalli kiss near the end of Seed. I’m interested in seeing how they finally end this as we come down to the last few episodes.

So we are in agreement on both counts, fellow vampiro aficionado. High five!

True I can see that now…
