Sleepy elf girls are damn cute~
Time to start a new arc which means new characters to add to the growing cast and this time we meet Lucca Sarlinen who at first glance just comes off as a really shy and quiet type of girl and she sleeps in a coffin? I thought she was going to be a vampire, but honestly I feel that her story was kind of dull when you compared to characters like Ash and Silvia because we learned that she used to be a dragon tamer until she had an accident which has caused her to fear her dragon named Gawain? Wait we have Lancelot and now Gawain? I wonder if there is an Arthur dragon somewhere in this anime? Also I don’t know if anyone else noticed this but Silvia and Lucca’s dragons are both white so I wonder if that has something to do with the special names or are they just trying to stick to the fantasy theme? Anyway half of the episode followed Ash trying to reunite Lucca and Gawain with his magic dragon armor because knows how it feels to be missing your parr and the other half followed Eco dealing with some messed up nightmare about some evil monster trying to take her away from Ash? I am sure we will come back to that later on; however for now I think Lucca will be the main focus for the next handful of episodes and as it stands right now I think she will fit in quite nicely with the other oddball characters.

Oh, I realy enjoyed Lucca’s introduction. She seems like a really sweet character, and has all the tropes running in the right direction. Quiet, reserved, tragic, waifish. But, with a troubled past, and a kinky side you would never have expected. Seriously girl, might wanna give Eco some time to breathe next time. You know Fosh. I wouldn’t put it past them to toss us an Arthur…or a whole bunch of other choices. They already have the Irish influence with the other Dragon…uh, Archers (see what I did there?) Just bring in the Gil and Aliksandre and Type-Moon should be knocking on the door soon. But I do like this sort of story, as it seems that something might be bothering Gawain, and he might be doing this for Lucca’s good. As for Eco and her Nightmare of Nocturnal Emissions Not dropping Fafnirite, man you think being touched by an undead dragon has some lingering effects. I would have PTSD, and it’s a wonder most harem girls in these shows don’t. But, if anything it’s to show how strongly she has come to depend on Ash, and might just underscore the relation between both Lucca and Gawain.

End thoughts
Wow after the first five minutes of Lucca being on screen I was glued to my screen! I guess her sleepy side was kind of cute especially when she jumped on Eco to mess with her round horns? I could not stop laughing and of course she does have a cute voice provided by Asuka Oogame aka Erio from Denpa Onna! Also this might sound crazy, but lately I keep getting High School DxD vibes from Dragonar in terms of character introductions like this week after meeting Lucca she reminds me of Gasper even though I know Lucca is not as crazy as Gasper or is it because they look similar? I guess the elf ears do make them look sort of similar, but anyway this was a great episode and I can’t wait to see more Lucca next time!
Yes, those first five minutes are impressive, aren’t they. But I guess it’s up to me to talk about the extended Anya shower scene, right? She had an extended shower scene. What? You want in depth reporting, on random fanservice!? Fine. Cute butt all around. Damn that soap. There, make yourself happy LOL. And yes, it is quite nice to here that Erio voice from Oogame. We have some good set up for the rest of the arc, and I hope it ends up with a happy ending. As a dead dragon and/or dead elf LOLi will make for a sad skylion. Moe Lucca! Moe Anya! Moe Eco!

Looks like we have some naughty mixed in with this nice. For a seemingly innocent new character, I would’ve never pegged Lucca for a closet pervert. That lunge at Eco and shamelessly undressing in front everyone. These forest fairies must revere death in some grand way if they’re not bothered by sleeping on a “bed” that’s practically a coffin. It is a coffin no matter how much you sugarcoat its appearance with words.
