Sonico is just a girl who cain’t say no, although at least she’s not getting into any kissing contests. What she is getting herself into is trying to save everyone. That’s right, her biggest problem is that she’s too nice, and wants to help everyone with their trouble. And since it’s the college fair, there’s trouble everywhere. Presenting her own whale display, filling in for the music club’s sick guitarist, helping out at her class’s cafe, replacing Ouka-chan at the cosplay photo shoot, and even participating in the college beauty contest. And of course, all of her obligations come from different directions: work, music, school, even her sleepy self. And she was fine until Fuuri pointed out the beauty contest which her sleepiness got her roped into.
All so she can help teach the kiddies (nice hat)
So now it’s up to Suzu and Fuuri to help out, with the most transparent ploy ever: Sonico wigs. It’s a good thing that they both resemble Sonico in body type, even if not in temperament and talent. Fuuri handles the beauty contest while Suzu helps out at the cafe. They even get Sonico’s grandmother to help out (in a Messerschmitt K200, no less), and while it doesn’t really fool anyone, it does get Sonico off the hook and gets everyone the help they need (and Fuuri some meat buns).

Welcome back to the giant magical boob anime! After last week’s Himegami themed episode what other character will get the spotlight treatment this time?! None other than Kengo Usui? Wait isn’t he the friend of Takeru aka that other perverted guy who has a thing for Himegami?! Yes it is true that other dude somehow becomes the new principal after the current principal feels that she is not appreciated enough at the school! So what does this even mean for the rest of the students? Basically Kengo was able to add a bunch of new rules to the school which involved Limbo, body painting, reading Ecchi books out loud, jump rope and wrestling in swimsuits and even some “biology” with some “special stuff” donated by Takeru which seriously made me face palm because they used the line “it looks like little tadpoles” I mean sure I get it this is a perverted anime to begin with but damn not even To-Love-Ru or High school DxD goes that far and to also so Takeru next to the girls with a goofy face? Did I laugh at that whole scene? Sure I did bu afterwards I was shocked! So in the end the girls end up revolting against Kengo and retake the school and order is restored with Minori becoming the principal once again.
How low can this show go? Very…

So for you folks who get embarrassed, or otherwise just don’t like all the kissing in Sakura Trick, this was your week. The only kissing this week was in the OP, Mitsuki-kaichou’s first accidental kiss, and some implied kissing off screen (as Yuu and Haruka hid in the park). Instead we got to see two koibito talking on the phone on New Year’s Eve. Haruka wanted to be the first person to wish Yuu a Happy New Year, and they managed to waste enough time that Yuu’s whole family’s New Year’s soba gets soggy. And Haruka gets a new nickname that she didn’t want: Shittobukai Joshikousei. Super Jealous High School Girl, but “SBJK-san” works. And talking to Haruka is enough for Mitsuki to lie and say she already ate, so that she can talk to Haruka.
I wouldn’t put it past Kaede to put a banana in Yuzu’s tailpipe
We actually get a Yuzu and Kaede skit as well, when Yuzu gets her license to drive a scooter. But Yuzu won’t let Kaede do anything ‘fun’, like ride on back to the convenience store. We also learn about Kaede’s younger siblings, who ruined her notebook while studying. We also learn that Kaede’s a pretty nasty prankster, shaking up a soda that she plans to give to Yuzu, and making a plan to plant a fake dead rat in Haruka’s desk.

Super Sonico The Animation – 09: Luckily Sonico’s cheerful personality has helped her gain some dependable friends. The thing that bites her in the butt is that she wants to please everyone and that doesn’t always work out. If not for Suzu and Fuuri, she might have ended up like Hachiken from Gin no Saji, overworking herself to the point of exhaustion.

Well, Mitsuki is really the outsider who has a secret crush on Haruka. It’s not even like she’s let anyone know that she likes her, and it’s almost like she won’t even let herself believe it. She’s in for quite a bit of a shock when Yuu and Haruka are finally revealed as a couple, since I think she probably can’t fathom that Yuu and Haruka would go as far as she thinks she can’t in her secret crush.
