Freezing Vibration – 06
Here’s Louis for us to rage at
This is, err… toy?
You can certainly say that the tone of this arc is much different from what we’ve seen in Alaska so far, and you certainly wouldn’t be alone as a viewer if you either hate Louis or just didn’t like the episode at all; it can be kind of tough to get through for some and is easily the most controversial story arc in all of Freezing. It’s a disturbing and gripping arc we are in right now, and Louis very quickly asserted himself as Freezing’s most hated person ever. That’s saying something when he’s in the same season as the boneheads from Alaska, Spencer and Scarlett Oohara. His sadist ways with Satella and her PTSD from past years of abuse from him makes it so easy to hate Louis and hope that he get his cumuppins at the hands of Kazuya & Satella.
This was a very awful episode for Satella, to say the least
Vibration, for what they’re wanting to do with this arc, I thought did quite well with the tone in this episode. I could still question the relevance of this arc being animated, but it wasn’t any less intriguing for me. Adding the static to Louis’s (Kenji Nojima) voice to add menace is a good touch, the chains and their sound and the (once more I must mention) improved OST are all well orchestrated and helps elicit a strong reaction from the viewer; that you want to rip Louis’s balls off! Or just hope Kazuya can man up and whoop his ass… Anyway, this episode was not pretty, but for as much as Media Factory/A.C.G.T. went and did, I have to give them credit for doing what they did well. This episode kept me very much engaged and enraged at Louis.
Behind that face you wanna punch is a strong Pandora
Hopefully Holly Rose gets a little more time to be a character next week. With how the anime structured things this week, there was very little room to fit her into a scene for which she could speak, but you have to wonder how she feels about Louis favoring Satella so much. It seems like this arc will only go on for one more episode, so they’ll need to include her feeling some next ep., and for those that hated this, it’ll be over soon enough.
Closing with the eyecatch in hopes of offsetting the bad pics above

Yuushibu – 06
A tip for the gentlemen out there: always make sure the lady isn’t crying first.
Well, so much for the hope that episode 6 could replicate episode 3’s success. This one was right back to being terrible, not because of the unfunny gags, which were few in number this episode, but because of PLOT, which dominated the episode. You’ll have to excuse me if I don’t find the whole David vs. Goliath small-chain-defeats-megachain story compelling; living in the United States for the past 24-odd years has left me rather cynical when it comes to capitalism. Really, Raul, you can take on Amada with hard work and guts? I think good contracts with suppliers, name brand recognition, and greater selection might be hard to overcome with just good customer service.
Actually, this episode had me wondering why All A and Raul don’t team up to start their own security business, an honest one at which both could proudly work. We know from episode 3 that they’re both more than capable, and All A probably has at least a couple connections in the business from her time there. Raul, I know you want to ride the upcoming magitek boom, but working retail probably isn’t the way to do it. I seriously doubt you get stock options at that level. And if you want to stick with the retail career path, I think you should have let Amada snipe you from Leon, since they’re clearly run by better businessmen.
Well, until Magic OSHA or Magic PETA comes and shuts down their supplier, I guess. I don’t see much of an ethical quandary here since those workers aren’t humans and actually seem to enjoy their jobs, but that seems to be the direction this story is headed. Again, not compelling. Best case scenario, this Leon vs. Amada plot gets dropped quickly (well, bestest case scenario would be, Raul rushes the Amada headquarters armed to the teeth in a 20 minute long sakuga-fest action scene), but I’m worried it’s going to hang around all the way to the end.
Sexiest stitch in MetaFap history? Could be, could be.
Sarah and Raul calmly discussing what happened while Phino continued to bawl in between them was one of the few times this episode I laughed.
HA HA HA. GET IT? IT’S FUNNY BECAUSE HER MOANS FROM THE MASSAGE CHAIR MAKE IT SOUND LIKE SHE’S BEING PLEASURED BY HIM! NOW LAUGH!

Walkure Romanze – 06
Show’s over, Takahiro picked (no, not really)
You can eat my taco next…
Lisa doesn’t believe in your puny ‘theory of gravity’!
Celia needs some personality injections
Even though last episode wasn’t really too much plot, this one had even less, instead focusing on Takahiro’s day ‘off’, as he wanders around Helen’s Hill, getting fed by random girls. Basically, he encounters everyone throughout the day: Lisa demonstrating her contempt for Galileo by falling slower than the branch she was on, Reina playing matchmaker for Lisa and Takahiro, Fancy lunch with Mirielle and Noelle, healthiness platitudes with Akane, Tulip watching with Celia, and then squirrel-time with Bertille and entourage with special guest Mio.
Noelle starts with Mio, but has to settle for kissing Fiona
Meanwhile, everyone’s stuffing him with food, from scones to cookies to sandwiches (“Sand and Witches” haha) to an Italian feast, with special mention going to Lisa’s “if you like tacos you can have mine, too.” Really, no progress, no excitement, not really anything happening. The only bit of background we get is a little on Lisa, an orphan from a young age, who is withdrawn because of squabbling relatives, but seems to be opening up to Takahiro (“I’m so surprised at that!” said noone ever). This wasn’t a terrible episode, but it was definitely less than exciting, and hopefully there aren’t too many more of these. This show has had some good episodes, but not this one.

Yuushibu – 06: It’s for the best Phino didn’t see how the magic products were manufactured. She would’ve thrown a fit, one I doubt Raul would’ve been able to stop.
Raul was in over his head practically declaring war against Amada. Clearly they’re outmatched so if they want to stand a chance, they’ll have to exploit the few flaws Amada has, like the one the old lady pointed out.

Yuushibu: It’s even more amazing thinking they can compete on service or anything when they were a completely failing store when they were the only game in town. I mean, where’s all this demand for stuff from Amada coming from, when Leon was a ghost town even before it opened?
I still enjoy the show tho. With as many shows as I’m watching, I can’t say I really mind one (or a few) that don’t have a super intricate plot. I think the art in this one, and the character designs, are pretty good, and it’s just nice to watch.

Yeah, things have gotten a lot better for Sekai de Ichiban Tsuyoku Naritai! Sakura made a serious upset for the crowd and that mid-air double kick finishing move. The girl has paid tribute to Street Fighter’s Lt. Guile. It’s funny how her first win in nine months of wrestling turned out to be her revenge match against Rio, her very reason and goal. Not to mention Rio being a good sport and acknowledging Sakura’s victory. The way she held up Sakura’s hand at the end was really endearing, making her suddenly respectable and likable.
Sakura’s choice to stick with wrestling was predictable but the Sweet Diva idols’ reaction to her statement hit harder than I thought, especially to Elena. Things are going to get hotter and tougher from here on out judging from the preview. The world champion is coming to Japan who looks a lot like Freezing’s Elizabeth Mably and someone’s actually been put into the hospital wearing a leg cast.

Freezing Vibration – 06: There was trouble not having my stomach turn watching Louis’ despicable display. I knew the rotten bastard wouldn’t change but he’s gotten far worse. Also very troubling was how easily Satella fell back into her defenseless, doll-like state at the sight of him even after all she’s been through at West Genetics. I just want to see her finally break her psychological chains and give that wretch the overdue ass kicking he deserves.

Freezing: I had to skip most of that scene. It’s just not what I want to watch. Nor is it very encouraging that Holly is apparently just as broken by Louis. Hopefully Satella can behead Louis or something. Otherwise, can we get Chiffon to come take care of him?
POWUH: and Vampire Lover with 11746 comments
Yes! Even though it won’t happen, I’d very much like to see the “True Monster” massacre that revolting son of a bitch! Anyway, if anyone has the birthright to do so, it’s Satella.
POWUH: Meta Team and Spammy Tamer with 7115 comments
There’s also kind of a “WTH?” going on with this, because I thought that Violet found out about Louis’ abuse of Satella, and was the reason that Satella got sent to West Genetics, rather than Genetics UK. So why the heck would she think he’s changed? Especially if you get a look at Holly. And then that terrible advice to Kazuya, I mean, really? “Well, maybe it’s not an actual problem.”
(goes and reads what happens to see if it’s reassuring)

Walkure Romanze – 06: Uneventful but enjoyable somewhat in its run with some nice scenery. Poor Takahiro. Looks like chivalry can be a burden sometimes though I don’t blame him for not wanting to disappoint the ladies. I can’t imagine the stomach ache he’ll most likely get later. Also, it seems he’s close to deciding whether to be a squire or get back on the saddle and joust again. Personally, either one is fine.
