You had some good questions all around. Most of them look towards more character development. It looks like this is going to be a show that relies heavily on revealing information bit by bit. Makes sense. Given the “one up” each an every character seems to get each scene.
I’m hoping we do get much more of Kurousagi, as she makes a dynamic lynch-pin for all the characters and for the over-all theme.
Some quick points.
You-san in recovery, not being bad-ass. Unacceptable folks, especially considering last episodes dismal “fight off camera” moment that took her out. ::shakes head::
Dat trident. This is a typical move for this sort of show, but they handled it quite well. Also, it has Indian influence. The weapon of Indra can be any sort of weapon.
The maid attending Shiro’s home? I love how quickly she took offense to that jerk-ass trying to man-handle her. But it was her overall body language that suggested something. I could be reading into things, but I think she may be a major kick-ass player later on.
Leticia. No, this isn’t a Shinobu retread (and thank goodness for that) and they did pretty good on her first major outing. She has a hint of power, and the reveal of much much more. Only now she gets stoned. Bad play. Makes me quite angry.

It would be an interesting knock down, drag out fight, if we can see some of the upper power levels they suggest with Leticia. But with Shinobu’s “grow anything back” power of vampire blood; things could get prolonged.

There are two productions of Negima. One is mediocre, the other is by SHAFT, and is mildly less mediocre. As for Eva-chan, she is part of a cast of like 30 girls. This is a funky harem show. I recommend the SHAFT production.

Well, it’s definitely no lolis for me. And vampires I take just as they are as women, not really worrying about whether they’re a vampire or not. I still think about the two best character designs I’ve seen are Lisara Restall and Erica Blandelli. Kusaribe Hakaze is not bad either. In fact, there are plenty of nice looking girls in anime.

Seemed to me that the Perseus community was no longer led by *actually* Perseus, just Rios, who’s a jerk. And I think Letitia gave up her Demon Lord power in exchange for escaping, but not to her owner, I think she made a deal with someone else. So now she’s just a Lord of Vampires.
The show actually introduced new things this episode, so that was good. It has been really telegraphing its moves so far, so having something change it up was worthwhile.

Yeah, although that’s another thing that has been completely telegraphed: Kurousagi will be forced into a game in violation or at the expense of her referee rabbit powers.
I do think the concept of a referee that is actually attached to the community is an interesting one. Kurousagi obviously shows affinity for the no-names, to the point of sticking with them with almost no hope, and actually bringing our three protagonists to the Little Garden to help them. Will there be a plot where she has to decide between fairness and affinity?

Telegraphed, with some surprises along the way I am sure. She is pretty much the MC in my eyes, as every thing is revolving around her. As she develops, I hope they expose some of the make up of the Little Garden. World Building is a hobby/hopeful ambition of mine (of the fictional variety) and this one has some rather good bits in.

I did think it interesting that Letitia hinted at a limit to Iyazoi’s power, that she thought he had completely exerted himself in repelling her first attack, which he denies. Does he actually have a total output limit, in addition to a single strike limit? He certainly seemed to agree with the concept.

Yeah, I was not happy with the Gorgon beam’s final outcome, either. Just when her character was getting interesting to. These writers know how to bring the tense.
I think Sugou, Noumi, and Perseus (ala Campione!) carried the Idiot Villain Ball a bit to close to their chests. So much that the trope was the entirety of their character.
The current leader looks like he knows when to play the right hand, and when to pass the right cards. But, I agree, should’a been a Kurousagi open can o’ whomparase all over.

I think the creators watched the new Clash of the titans 1 and 2 and were like HOLY MOTHER OF GOD WE NEED THIS! I don’t really mind because those are some interesting characters and cool myths that follow.
Perseus is something uhh…special…yeah lets go with that for now! I don’t get the Sugou/Noumi vibes just yet because Perseus has yet to lick someones eyeball or present any creepy expressions, but you could say he only has to look or speak to a girl and pull off “creepy” quite easily.
