About

Is huge anime fan from Florida! who loves to watch anime and also enjoys drawing and collecting pictures, my favorite genre of anime has to be Mecha, there is just something awesome about giant robots beating the crap out of each other! Other than that type of show, I love a good comedy or action series :D

Good review Fosh. This show never stops making me smile.

    Pettanko. DFC=FTW!

    • BlackBriar says:

Pettanko, eh? That just assures your love for lolis. Oppai for the win!! And by that, I mean “Go Yuriko!!”.

      • skylion says:

        Useless Meat.

      • HannoX says:

Yes, Yuriko! All that and Hanazawa Kana’s voice, too!

        • BlackBriar says:

Yuriko is defintely one of the show’s strong points. She has a strong personality and a nice body to go with it (It’s no wonder Haruka gets discouraged about her own body). Hanazawa’s voice is just the icing on the cake.

          • Highway says:

And Yuriko’s got multiple issues around her as well. I doubt they’re going to get into any more plans that she has to exploit Haruka this season, but there’s still that as a possible plot point. And I wouldn’t mind seeing more Yuriko and Muroto couple development, as I wonder if Yuriko really has much of a crush on Muroto, or if it’s more that he’s a challenge.

          • Foshizzel says:

@BB: Yeah Yuriko is a interesting character I wonder if we will have a few episodes dedicated to her? I imagine so especially with that tiny reveal she showed Haruka at the restaurant in episode seven…and yeah of course she is quite developed compared to Haruka and Moritani haha

@Highway: Yep she has her fair share of issues to work out eventually and I guess we will have a few episodes dedicated to her or is it little to late to actually do that? We shall see…oh yes! Yuriko x Muroto <3

    • Foshizzel says:

D’awwww thank you! I was worried that it was way to long cause most of the videos are under ten minutes xD

      • BlackBriar says:

But this time couldn’t be helped because you were reviewing two episodes because you had to cover them both so the length is more than acceptable. There’s nothing to be worried about.

        • Foshizzel says:

Thanks! I think doing double episodes opens the door for more things to talk about, but I am sure everyone was missing good old Kotoura-san on Meta <3

          • BlackBriar says:

Yeah, it was weird at the time when the post for episode 6 didn’t come along but you were occupied so it’s all good.

  2. BlackBriar says:

The first half of episode 6 caught me off guard with the haunted house/amusement park theme because I assumed it was a complete beach episode.

How rich is the Kotoura family?! They have an amusement park, a private beach, a mansion, etc. I actually started to feel jealous. And as if they weren’t loaded enough, they struck oil. The grandfather and Manabe’s fantasies paid off but just not the way they wanted. Being those two is suffering.

The sour parts for me in episode 7 were the scenes with Haruka’s mother. She kills the mood for me every time she pops up and it makes me think “what a total bitch”. Apparently she still hasn’t gotten through her thick skull that she wasn’t the only one suffering in Haruka’s early years. In fact, it got worse when she abandoned her.

    • skylion says:

Yes, Mother Dearest is extreme bitch. But, there goeth the wheel of the plot.

      • BlackBriar says:

Yeah, it’s for the sake of the plot but I and I’m sure many other viewers still want to nail her to the wall for her cruel negligence. She wasn’t the only one that was suffering. Besides, the secret about her cheating on her husband back then would’ve come out into the open eventually.

        • Highway says:

I’ll actually give Kumiko a little bit of reprieve on that one. It’s pretty obvious from the first episode that her husband bailed on the marriage and family first, first shoving Haruka’s problems entirely on her, and then “staying late at the office” and then not even coming home late and then taking women to love hotels.

I actually find it interesting that the story has a bit of spotlight on Kumiko while completely ignoring Haruka’s father, but then having Haruka’s grandfather, who I’m guessing is her paternal grandfather (since he has the same family name), still be so much in the story. Unless it’s a situation where Kumiko is actually Zenzou’s daughter, and because the family is so influential and well-off they kept that name.

But if Kumiko married into the family, it’s a little bit strange that she’s still the one the story is focused on.

    • Foshizzel says:

Yeah it was cleaver showing just the beach related stuff in the preview of 06! In fact we hardly got any “fanservice” at the beach…

I know right? Grandpa is rolling in money and I can sooo see him spending it quickly before Kotoura’s mom gets her hands on it…LOL the oil part killed me xD

Amen on 07! Her mom appearing really made me angry, but I am looking forward to the moment they meet and work things out or will they ever? I guess maybe with the final two episodes? I hope something good happens >.>

      • BlackBriar says:

Being Manabe is suffering. Getting denied a mixed bath like that but it was hilarious seeing him and grandfather mourning over the hot spring as if someone died. The Grandpa is a bad influence on him. As if he wasn’t bad enough alone, now he has a mentor with perverted wisdom in the field. They should be kept separated. One is feeding the next in a never-ending cycle. Manabe is the man and should be crowned king of perverted leads for succesfully waking up between two girls (Issei Hyoudou has severe competition).

Hiyori has gone from the center of hate to the source of comic relief. Complete redemption has been achieved. Her blunders and misunderstandings always manage to make me laugh. However, lord have mercy, I would never dare touch her “cooking” and here I thought no one could top Kore wa Zombie’s Seraphim’s incompetence. Worse, she made her “food” from from everyday ingredients yet it disorients people near beyond repair. She brings lethal cooking to a new level. Not only is it toxic but psychedelic. Just think of the military applications and contracts it could bring in.

Haruka’s mother is still a serious, detestable bitch in my book. What kind of mom smiles while insulting their child and disrespects her in front of other people? Nothing excuses that kind of behavior. I very much doubt anything good will come out of those two meeting up again. Haruka is better off without her interference and besides, she has her grandfather and friends to keep her company.

        • Foshizzel says:

          Being Manabe is suffering.

LOL P MUCH 100% TRUE! That damn guy never catches a break and his team up with Haruka’s grandpa is not helping him in any way…maybe he can teach him a few things? LOL

Oh god Hiyori is turning into a fantastic comedic character even though she is still not my favorite I do enjoy her acting like a complete wacko at times! Ohhhh yeah I pictured Kore wa zombie as well with Seraphim’s poor ass cooking skills…imagine if those two girls teamed up? No one would survive…

AGREED I hate how her mom suddenly showed up, but at least the mom kept her distance and avoided showing her face because I imagine it would have ruined the feel good vibes, but sadly we will have to see them meet each other sometime before the series wraps up.

  3. Highway says:

I really am wondering if Kumiko has ever figured out what Haruka really does. It would be hard to not figure it out, but maybe she drank the kool-aid that the people when Haruka was growing up were handing out, that Haruka is a compulsive liar, even though she has to know that she’s telling the truth. But it’s possible that both Kumiko and Haruka’s father truly convinced themselves that she makes up lies, because it would be easier to believe that than to face the ugly truth reflected in the mirror that she holds up to them.

That said, I thought the way they’ve worked Kumiko into the story so far is good. She doesn’t really care about Haruka, but that extends to not caring that she is doing bad either. It’s not like Kumiko seems to want to ruin Haruka for revenge, because she figures that she’ll be ruined soon enough anyway. She just doesn’t want anything to do with her. That might change, but for now, it’s not like she’s plotting anything. And the same kind of accepting attitude goes for Haruka as well, after so many nights of tears she’s accepted that she really did cause a lot of family trouble, and while it’s not really her ‘fault’, she was a significant factor. But rather than dwell on it, she’s moving forward with her new friends.

    • skylion says:

      RE: moving forward.

She’s realized that she has that choice. To go back is to relive that dark place. Thou she realizes her future is uncertain, she can accept what has happened in the past, and see it “in the rear view mirror”. She clearly said something to the effect that, “This room was much larger back then.”

I admire that very much in her character. Again, this show makes me smile in so many ways.

    • Foshizzel says:

Damn dat momma! Go away we don’t want you around, but whatever it works for a good story even though I still feel that there has been a long gap in time for them to “recover” I mean really? Holding a grudge that long? MOVE ON SERIOUSLY, but that is easier said than done I suppose or are they going for a realistic take on the whole thing? I know some people in my own life that have problems getting over the past and hold onto those feelings forever…

  4. KLACMAN says:

yea well give kotoura life is all fine sure just still one “problem” still scare her.

yea that “mom” give as long there still that issue it just later eps the drama will be back.

    • Foshizzel says:

      Yeppers~

Damn momma why are you showing up D:

      • BlackBriar says:

Her appearence was unwanted but you know eventually she’s going to show up again. The script is going to dictate it no matter what. God, I hate characters like her.

        • Foshizzel says:

@BB: Agreed even though we hate her guts unfortunately we can not avoid them eventually meeting! I just hope it turns out to be just chatting instead of anything physical…

@Highway: True good point at least she showed up and after all I think the monk character is only trying to help them patch things up one day!

      • Highway says:

Hey, again, I give Kumiko some credit. She was brought there by Oshou, it’s not like she showed up on her own. And as soon as she found out what he wanted, she left. Yes, she’s holding a grudge against Haruka, but she’s not out to ruin her life (at this point). She’s just trying to get on with her life that was basically ripped apart by being unable to deal with Haruka’s ability.

  5. anaaga says:

So we are going to see Kotoura’s mother soon? And she’s going to make up with Kotoura?

I actually don’t want that to happen. I see Kotoura’s mom as a total bitch who pushes all her mistakes (such as cheating) to Kotoura’s “weird power” so that she can be free of blame. The episode where I see her again is the episode I’ll hate the most

    • BlackBriar says:

Hahaha!! Join the club because we all feel the same way. She’s just someone looking for an excuse for her misfortunes and does it in a very bitchy way. I really don’t want to see her again.

    • Foshizzel says:

Sad but true Anaaga! Unfortunately Kotoura will have to face her mother at some point in these next episodes, but who knows maybe it will be a good thing! I certainly feel they COULD save their relationship…maybe…
