Welcome back with more crazy adventures with K! So what have we learned so far thanks to this series? Well Shiro fell from the sky, Neko likes to push random buttons and blimps suddenly explode when you blow them up…damn…we are learning so much! Too bad things are about to end soon! Also Kyokai is out for the week due to a cold and fever so wish her a quick recovery~ |

// K–Bombastic Flashback – Things this week starts off in January 1945 where we learn something interesting about the origin of the silver king because later on it was revealed that he is basically an immortal. I guess we can say that might be a special effect of having those strange king powers? Also the silver king or as he is better known as a scientist named Dr. Weismann in the flashback who showcased the power of the kings with some lab mice, but he believed he could use that power to make people happy? However, on the other hand we had lieutenant Kokujoji aka the golden king who thought of using that strange power to create an army of super soldiers. I mean after all there was a war going on during that time so I could see Lieutenant Kokujoji’s point of view; however, I think they just wanted us to get the feeling that the silver king was originally a kind dude even in the past until a series of events changed him.
Lieutenant Kokujoji-“I-It’s not like I want to use super humans as weapons or anything…”
// Kaleidoscopic Power – So what caused Dr. Weismann to become immortal? Was the odd artifact or was it related to the loss of his sister? Not that any of that really matters to me because he sort of “died” even though I believe he faked his own death. I am just curious to see what caused his personality to change because at the start of the episode he was acting a lot like Shiro in terms of happy go lucky attitude, but what caused his personality to shift into crazy mode? Death of his sister maybe? While we are talking about the silver king what do we really know about Kokujoji? That dude is also kind of a mystery. Though, it is safe to say he has some special powers of his own especially with his oddball galaxy looking power, I was waiting for him to suddenly shout Ginga Bishounen! So I wonder who has more power as a king Reisi or Kokujoji? I kind of wish we could see those two fight it out…

// Mysterious Killer – While the mystery surrounding both the Silver king and Golden king continues to bug Reisi and the other members of Scepter 4, there was another story flying around in the background involving Mikoto and Tatara Totsuka’s killer. So, who or what is this strange person anyway? I can tell that he has special powers of his own, but I have no idea which group be belongs to. I think it might be a little late in the series to reveal the other groups right now or do you think we still have time to do that? So what else do we know? This person goes to the same school as Shiro’s and it appears that he has full access to his dorm room, but what is his connection to Shiro? I have a sneaky feeling that he will probably use the other students as hostages to lure Shiro out of hiding! That or use them as shields to keep Mikoto away? For some reason I just see that playing out in my mind…hopefully no innocent bystanders get killed in the process.
Mikoto-“Today feels like a good day for a nice walk, but why are those guards there?”
//Kaboom Breakout – I remember shouting at my screen something like DUDE FINALLY! Mikoto decided to break out of the scepter 4! Part of me couldn’t help but grin as we saw his masterplan unfold before our eyes because damn that guy practically had the best plan ever to find Tatara Totsuka’s killer or did he really have everything planned out? I think our mysterious killer is getting bored with no one finding him and he just wants the red king to come out and play. I loved watching his awesome king power in action that allowed him to melt through lots of high security doors and then he walked out of the front door with no problems. However, what was going on with Anna’s future prediction? Is the red king ultimately destined to die in the end or is he going to save the world and then kick the bucket afterwards? I really hope he doesn’t have to die in the end, but for some reason I can see him sacrificing himself to save the world or is he going to have an epic showdown with Reisi before dying?

Holy time travel batman! Starting off in 1945? What the hell is going on with that? I thought I was watching an anime version of Captain America at the start, but one thing is certain the silver king is immortal and do you really think he is dead? I think faking your own death in this world would be quite easy thanks to all these characters with special powers and all the advanced tech, for all we know that body in the coffin might be a humanoid robot or maybe it is a special hologram? Besides the stuff with the silver king I liked the short event with Mikoto breaking out of the scepter 4 jail! Damn that was so cool; however it left me wanting more I just want to sit back and watch the various kings FIGHT, then again I think we are going to see that next week right? Anyway what did you like about this episode? I would have loved to have more scenes with Anna and Mikoto or maybe a few things with Neko.

It has gotten more borderline every time Reisi and Mikoto cross paths. It’s more frequent around them than what we’ve seen with Shiro and Kuroh.

This was definitely an interesting episode even if nothing really happened to answer any questions. I guess this episode was just meant to move things along. Either way the back story was nice and I am interested to see who the dude behind the fox mask is.

True there were no real answers for our questions and yeah I think this episode was just in place to push things along especially with the mystery killer and Mikoto’s prison escape.

One of the things that the show’s been doing very well is building up the kings as badasses who are head and shoulders above everyone else. There was the blue king making quick work of Kuroh 2 episodes ago, and Mikoto’s calm escape from prison was impressive. I was amused by seeing his wall of fire just roll right over those blue knights who simply didn’t stand a chance.

I like how everything so far has built up the kings so far, but I just want a damn fight between Mikoto and Reisi already! Yeah I watched that awesome escape scene over and over again when I was taking screencaps~

The whole World War II era part of the episode went over my head and I’m even more shocked that the Silver King is so old. I still think he’s alive, though. He blew himself up along with his blimp yet there isn’t a single scratch on his body. Strange enough, he and Shiro look and sound alike.
I was sore at that Lieutenant with his thoughts on what he intended to do with the results of the experiment. Typical military mindset. Whenever his type sees something that is beyond human, they immediately want to turn it into a weapon. That’s why whenever I watch any anime with supernatural beings against normal humans, I’d easily find myself rooting for the first group because they look like the ones being taken advantage of.
Mikoto taking his time breaking out of his cell was badass. Pulling it out this late in the series was probably a scheme to build suspense. It was more of a one-sided beating rather than a fight. The look on Seri’s face when her attack failed and Mikoto unleashed his was priceless. That was pure despair in her eyes.
As for the reveal of Anna ability, it seems blood is being used a lot in anime. Whether it’s for her tracking and clairvoyance or as weapons like in Deadman Wonderland.
