Welcome back readers to more fun stuff with Robotic;Notes on Metanorn! So last week gave us some dramatic moments with Subaru and his angry robot hating father, but what does this mean for Subaru?! Will he re-join the club or what and like always you can listen to the notes on robotic notes podcast with me and Jrow this week.

Oh how I love Frau! She is easily one of the most interesting characters in this series so far, but honestly what do we know about her? The only things we really know is the unique way she talks to people and her needs for security that allows her to hide. Other than those few points we don’t really know much about her right now, but thankfully she shows us another side of her character when she teams up with Kai to catch a few Kill Ballad cheaters. So, what other side am I talking about? Well, during Kai’s talk about his “super power” he said that it might eventually kill him one day, which caused Frau to stop messing around with her perverted jokes and take a serious look at Kai and of course she moved closer to him? Then again maybe she just wanted to share the blanket? Frau also revealed something dark and disturbing that her mother might have killed the entire production team that worked on the Gunvarrel anime series. I think that explains why Frau feels safer inside her high tech security house and her need to be at the school for some extra protection, but do you think her mom would come to find Frau and take care of her? Hopefully not…

Airi-“Oniichan why are loading the swimsuit patch?” Kai-“Uh we haven’t had a beach episode yet…”
Men in black or agents from the Matrix?!
With all the crazy things going on with Aki and Kai I have good idea where things might be going soon! First off the CEO of the space candy bought a lot of robot parts, Airi has finally hooked up with Kai via poke-com, Kai is the master of Kill Ballad controls, he knows about the solar flares, Aki has assembled the robotic team and now these mysterious men in black dudes showing up to offer assistance? Once the giant robot is built I wonder if Kai will undergo some space training in the next few episodes because things are certainly getting super interesting. I just hope they have enough material to stretch the story out for fourteen episodes…so what do you think is going to happen? Course the ones that have played Robotic;Notes probably already knows how things end, but without spoiling yourself feel free to take a guess like me!

Junna stayed up all night watching both seasons of K-ON and the movie.
Aki-“ANYONE ELSE WANT SOME!? WHAT ABOUT YOU MOON?!”
Frau-“I swear I will break your arms if I catch you! Muhahahahah.”

End thoughts
This was a really fun episode for me, but there wasn’t a whole lot going on besides more shipping with Aki, Subaru, Frau and Kai, which makes me sad for Junna. However, this is not really a romance series so I can’t really see a lot of “love” right now, but whatever it is still fun to ship certain characters together right? Even though there wasn’t much going on I enjoyed the moments between Frau and Kai a whole lot because we hardly get to see much of Frau thanks to her whole password system. Other than those two hitting it off we have to mention that mysterious girl that popped up with all those MIB looking agents. Thanks to some image research via Tumblr, I think it is safe to say that the new girl is Nae Tennouji from Steins;Gate who is now twenty, but what does her sudden arrival mean? Are they really secret government agents or are they part of Misa’s company? I guess we will have to wait till next week to find out more! Damn, I wish I had some awesome robotic time machine right about now…

I understood Frau’s moving to Tanegashima differently. The deal with her mother is that mom was the director Gunvarrel, and because so many people died, she’s a murder suspect, but Frau doesn’t think she did it. And Tanegashima is the last place she’s heard of her being, so Frau has moved there to try to get a lead on her mom’s location to try to find her. And the people didn’t die before the show was made, they died between it being made and it airing (from what I understood) so they pulled the airing.
I don’t think Subaru left the M45’s actuator punch on purpose, I think he just forgot it or didn’t see it, but Aki’s gesture at bringing it back to him was still pretty touching. She just hates giving up on dreams.
I haven’t seen Steins;Gate, so for me seeing the MIB guys show up was pretty ominous, not hopeful. Kai has been going into some places with a password he received somewhat illicitly, speaking to people involved in or connected with suspicious deaths, and generally sticking his nose in things (meddling kids!).

Ahh so you think that Frau is doing her own investigation about her mother? Interesting! Yeah I think you are right that Frau doesn’t suspect her own mother of killed those people.
Ohhh? True maybe he didn’t and maybe he did! Who knows and Subaru isn’t the type of person to actually say he missed hanging out with everyone even though he probably secretly likes it xD
Hmmm they didn’t really appear hostile! They could have broken in and stole the robot parts and held everyone at gunpoint fufufu, but even if you didn’t see Steins;Gate you should be fine I think…

I agree that Frau doesn’t think her mother did it and the reason she moved to Tanegashima was to try and find her mother or because she thinks she may find evidence there that her mother didn’t do it.
While the MIB are meant to appear ominous, I think in the next episode or two we’ll find out that they aren’t. Whether it’s a government agency or some other group they represent, I believe they may actually help the Robotics Club, although of course it’ll be for their own reasons.

Yep! I believe the same thing after all like I said to Highway if they wanted the MIB dudes could have stolen the robot parts by force, but I hope they help build the robot and teach Kai a few things about space!

More mecha. So far, so good. I still have to check out the last two Eureka Seven AO episodes.
Aki’s an optimist. There’s no bringing her down whether it’s her problems or that of another’s. She keeps on going. If anything, Kai’s constant negative attitude is only feeding rather than making her want to give up which is ironic.
Junna is definitely one of us when it comes to marathoning an anime, but only 7 out of 155 episodes?! Hehehe, good luck. I was behind 30+ episodes of Naruto Shippuden when the Fourth Great Ninja war started and it took me two afternoons to reach the most recent ones. It was work but it was enjoyable. Her reason for marathoning were odd but I wonder if she’d continue if she knew the reason behind why the last episode never aired. I don’t think saying “average” is going to cut it. Whenever Junna is around Aki, she just seems to become Aki’s little toy that she can do whatever she wants with her and hardly raise a fuss.
Frau knows the reason why the last Gunvarrel episode never aired because of the incident and her mother was then labeled a suspect as to why she moved to her current location in the first place. At the same time, I get the feeling there are things regarding the incident that not even she knows at moment which is plausible because she never saw it firsthand and it leaves room for speculation. My guess is that she moved to start her own investigation given the last piece of info on her mother was at that location and while she’s not carrying out requests for Kai and the Robotics Club, she’s following leads explaining her being isolated in a freezing room in front of computers.
I knew space was going to get more involvement but I didn’t expect any MIB to show up. I’m as surprised now as I was with Ano Natsu de Matteru.

ahahaha yes! Those last two episodes of E7AO are uhh…interesting…
Junna is such a pro anime fan! That takes dedication, I remember when I tackled One Piece…wow…that felt like it took forever; however the final pay off is worth it <3 I can picture Aki selling the anime series with all her excitement.
Poor Junna she is basically the Asu-nyan of Robotic;Notes! She is just the moe mascot character whenever Aki isn't around! I wonder when Junna will throw on cat ears...
Yep Frau is going to play detective one of these days and find out the truth soon! I just hope she is able to find something positive on her mother.
